A first look at my version of Utterson! Who I don’t draw nearly as much as I ought to

In more lore related news I like to think Jekyll would either be incredibly anti drug or be the type of man to “accidentally” over order his chemical supplies so he can make homemade recreational drugs

Over the years I found it a lot more funny to make Jekyll just the biggest stoner in his down time in an effort to keep Hyde’s voice in his head at bay so I’ve gone down the “Jekyll is a bit of a drug addict” pipeline of thought.

It also kind of just makes sense to me considering Hyde could easily be seen as a metaphor for drug use under the right lens.

the 1931 Jekyll and Hyde movie makes me insane what do you mean Henry can’t tell the difference between his fiancée and the woman he’s cheating on her with what do you mean what he really wants is not a naturally submissive wife but a lively happy woman he can beat and abuse into submission because a domestic bird won’t do he has to cage an exotic bird and break its spirit. when he sees the cat kill the bird he KNOWS he is the cat. he hates women so much it literally destroys his life im going crazy!!!!!

Voiceclaim talk!!

I did my first Hyde design right after listening to the j&h musical concept album, so in my head that's still his voice. I love how Anthony Warlow portrays the differences between Hyde and Jelly's voices, and I also adore how growly and feral-ish he can sound while being Hyde, it just fits him perfectly.

I've been trying to find a voice claim for Victor for years now and I still haven't come across anyone who fits my idea of him. I imagine his voice sounding calm and suave with a touch of playfulness. Like someone who sounds serious at first but the more you hear them, the more you realize they're a sweetheart. Oh well, I'll find it some day.

And Adam's voice can be no other than Tom Hulce as Quasimodo. Every time I hear "out there" and "heaven's light", I think of Adam. He portrays the perfect amount of young innocence and yearning for something else. I need to make an animatic.
