In a perfect world, leftist RLS wrote strange case so that Jekyll and Utterson were affectionate (if slightly estranged) husbands, and Jekylls evil had nothing to do w/ the fact that he was with another man and all to do with the fact that he’s just a violent dickhead.

Ik I talk about this often, but leik… he’s so hard to translate into a more solid, human like design. Things like his large creepy eyes and smile, and thin face… the darkness around his eyes too, like eyeshadow but in reality it’s probably really bad hyperpigmentation LOL… I try to add more detail, like his dark lips and visible bone structure, as well as the loose(?) skin around his lips… BRO…HES IMPOSSIBLE…

But! I think I’ll figure him out, and honestly I think I’ve nailed him a couple times too

1-How did Jekyll and Lisa fall in love? What drew Lisa to Jekyll and vice versa?

4-Does Lisa become affectionate to Hyde after finding out the secret (Hyde is a part of her husband)?

5-Is Lisa out of the house most of the time because she has a social life (unlike Jekyll), like going to parties and hanging out with her friends?

1. This question kind of connect with your second question actually! Jekyll and Lisa first met when they were in their mid 20s, Jekyll in uni and Lisa with her aunt. (Lisa is American and her extended family is English, this is also important later) yawll I hope you forgive me cause it’s a little stupid, but yeah…I’ve been thinking of changing but I’m a bit invested…whoops! Lisa likes Jekyll because she finds him kind, and sensitive and entertaining. Though at first she pitied him lol. Jekyll initially liked Lisa because she “got away” but later became lowk obsessed with her and her genuine kindness. As if he didn’t even know it existed but oh well?

2. They met when they were young, Henry was 25, Lisa was 21. Her aunts town home is nearby, so they got introduced on formality. He wanted some and she didn’t want to be w him LMAO….When they reconnected however, they just so happened to recognize each other at a charity party

3. Lisa finds out a lot later, and she’s devastated. The order of the story is a bit different, but he still murders Carew. No relation to Lisa though.

4. She does grow affectionate (you could say?) platonically, but not because of finding out he is Jekyll. Her relationship w him is a bit goofy because she is disgusted by him, doesn’t like him at all. Jekyll desperately wants Lisa to like hyde, and doesn’t know why himself other than wanting to know she can love even the worst of him. But also between the two (Jekyll and hyde) there’s some weird pseudo jealousy going on. But to keep it short, hyde spends a decent amount of time with her so she warms up to him. She doesn’t however, ever get rid of the disgust…when she does find out she doesn’t treat them apart.

5. Jekyll is a bit of a loser in this AU HAHA. He still lectures and hangs out w co workers but his co workers lowk bully him and he dislikes them, thinking he’s better than them as well. Lisa is always away between spending time w friends and managing(behind the scenes) her family’s participation in charities. Which causes a long term back and forth…

6. Nope! Victor is part of another AU, IA (it’s alive teehee) and I have thought about introducing Lisa in there. However, she would play as more of an ex wife char…

I have a lot to say about them still but!!! Yeah! TYSM for the questions I love yapping abt them…hope these were sufficient too <3 ik the story feels half baked but errrrrm yeah… it’s mostly just for my pleasure and I enjoy sharing it and appreciate any interest!!!

It’s very late so I’m a bit delirious, but I feel like both the musical, and just ignoring details in Jekyll and Hyde have really dumbed down just how HIGH society Dr Jekyll is. He literally has an account at COUTTS (a detail which I didn’t notice until many re-reads lowk), but also the fact that he was friends with Utterson and shared him as a lawyer with a member of parliament…like! Not to mention his calculated worth and then kinda basic, but Enfield knows of him without knowing him personally despite utterson being besties w Jekyll which is also a bit crazy…

Idk I fink too many adaptations js say “respectable” and leave it at that w out saying just how much so…
