(Many baffling and concerning things going on here. does Sumino think orcas. mate? with seals? does she think they're a similar species? or does she think male orcas prefer to eat female seals?? I am so lost but at least I understand why she became a cop and not a scientist)

Hoeru: start howling to lure to it out

Oh my gosh. I just found this website that walks you though creating a believable society. It breaks each facet down into individual questions and makes it so simple! It seems really helpful for worldbuilding!

Thinking about that fact that Hoeru probably admires Rikuo’s ability to make people smile because he’s not as good at social interaction

This week we got a battle almost entirely comprised of Hoeru’s boyfriends. (Juzo was also there.)

Hoeru kicking the asses of two super powered up villains while Mashiro and Rikuo are on the ground staring at him in awe was everything I didn’t know I wanted

Hoping people don't compare Taiya's reaction to Genba leaving to Hoeru's reaction to Rikuo, in which that they say Taiya was bad for his. Both care about the other but the situations are very different. Genba leaving due to having an overwhelming rage that endangered his teammates and a vendetta that he wished to face alone is not the same as Rikuo distancing himself bc he's trying to get the ring for Rei and knows things that could hurt others. Genba's was a choice that Taiya repeatedly showed concern over, but he had complete faith in Genba's ability to find his way back.

Taiya has known Genba for quite some time after all. With Hoeru, he can tell when Rikuo's off and he knows that he needs encouragement even though he may not understand the situation fully. Genba and Rikuo are both quite secretive in general, but Genba's departure is rooted in rage and fear, whereas Rikuo's is rooted in his kindness and hope. Taiya's reaction was to give space both for Genba's sake and for the sake of his team. Hoeru's reaction was to encourage Rikuo to fight for his dream. The difference here is Genba's dream is for his planet to be free while Rikuo's is to be the No. 1 Idol. Genba leaving had to do with Genba trying to liberate Bureki, but Rikuo leaving was not for his dream and so they differ, but Taiya and Hoeru are guiding them both toward their dream in their own ways.

anyways i was thinking earlier when i went out into the world, and like. i live in the suburbs but where the population is VERY MUCH NOT MOSTLY WHITE. it's like 80% NOT WHITE. and so when i go to the cafe, take the bus to the tjmaxx, and then go to the mall, i see many people of many shades and like. wow you wouldn't know that just by looking at who is on tv. like ANYWHERE this isn't just a one country problem in the fucking slightest.

Thinking about the idea of how Rikuo and Hoeru both had people they wanted to be like and those people said they were copying them. Kuon puts this as Hoeru trying to be him through actions and Rei manipulates Rikuo through using his past admiration, pointing out how he copied his eyes. Both instances are ways to establish a sense of superiority and authority. "I'm better and so you want to be like me" and "If you want to be like me then you should do as I say". It's a small thing that Rei and Kuon both use to try to establish control over Hoeru and Rikuo, twisting their admiration into them not being their own people. It's so interesting and so heartbreaking at the same time.
