why is there lace? why does she have a neck corset? because she's Gorgeous and I'm the Artist Here. i will always inflict my personal tastes on everyone I draw. pretty bird <3

it's really difficult to put clothes on a bird... stream helped out a bunch with the colors & the leg gear! I imagine that the leather is durable, which is probably the only thing that gets her to traverse less Forgiving terrain. Thornbushes and itchy tallgrass can't hurt her! she's got "boots"! How Does She Secure Them, i hear no one ask. that's what neighbors are for, isn't it? and a skilled beak once she gets the swing of it.

her shawl remains largely the same due to my lack of imagination! i put a lil feather clasp instead of the shawl being tied together to give it a more fantasy-oriented look. i think i succeeded? i like to think so! i imagine that the clasp gives Poppy some stress, though. It's sharp! Ish. it's sharp by her standards!

Poppy's enchanted glasses allow her to "see" injuries and illness, both caused by magical & normal means. this is very helpful in her role as healer, but also extremely stressful - just because she can see issues doesn't mean she automatically knows what they are! to her, a papercut may be misinterpreted by the beginnings of a fatal infection! i like to think that she got tired of needing to hold the glasses in place over her beak and asked if there was a charm to keep them steady. and they confidently had their resident wizard spell them on - oops! the spell was a little too strong! they're now magically superglued on! yeah, those are never coming off.

she also has a magic bag that i imagine was a gift from her family when she left the nest! she'd never directly use it herself - what if she falls in? what if something nasty managed to crawl inside? - but the Neighborhood uses it as collective storage. it can hold a lot! supplies, books, tents, gold, even Julie when she's determined enough!

Shadow still exists

Fanfic prompt: what if after shadow died he was still sentient but trapped in four’s shadow

Not capable of moving just following

Not capable of seeing or hearing anything

Not capable of touch or smell

Trapped and quietly suffering with no mouth to scream his pain

No escape from his existence as nothing but a shadow

In pain when someone steps on the shadow four casts and just having to endure

But four never finds out about him still existing and begging for release

Assuming that his shadow is now dead and accepting it with a painful smile knowing that shadow helped with a honorable death

For years only following as a shadow and nothing more

deaf and blind with no ability to hear or understand yet feeling pain everytime someone walks over him

Not knowing why or how he is in pain when all he sees is just darkness and nothing else

Until one day time accidentally pointed the mask of truth on four's shadow and then heard an all encompassing scream

As nobody else heard it

He would think he is going insane asking the others if they heard any noise

Only to confirm whatever or not it must have been a very unsettling yet not real experience

The chain was concerned for the welfare of his while four was having a very bad feeling about time’s reaction

finally, the quadfecta of roleswaps is complete on a base level. I like the whole poncho cloak that could double as an apron w/ cook sif, although I will admit the "after sadness incident" thing sparked an idea.

I'm sure the intent was the same event that Siffrin normally loses their eye in, but my first thought was an inverse of how he & the rest of the party met - i.e., cook!siffrin is fighting a big ol' sadness by themselves and are struggling (taking that nasty cut on the eye ahead of schedule) before the others swoop in to help.

again, I'm sure you still had the other event in mind, but I wanted to share that thought with you while it was still fresh on my mind.

Finally got all my ducks lined up in a row- now all I have to do is try to herd them all in the directions I want without derailing my entire life! XD I am amused at how you looked at cook!sif and thought "hm! that one needs to be rescued from a Sadness" because you are absolutely correct. he REALLY truly does. The Eye Incident happens later down the line in my imagination (gotta save some emotional angst for the cooks+travelers, y'know?) but YEAH!! basically!!!

whoever’s head of kitchen patrol in shadowclan must be like an anthony bourdain type. not afraid to try pretty much anything and able to make a delicious meal out of prey and ingredients the other clans would think are exotic (for lack of a better word in my brain) and weird. whoever was head of kitchen patrol during the period where the clans traded with bloodclan and during the great journey must have had a field day.

Funny enough, it's kinda the Head of Kitchen's job to NOT be super experimental! It makes sense when you remember that the HoK's job is to feed everyone.

If they were experimenting with the day's meal and bungled it, at best the whole Clan goes without supper, and AT WORST you've just given everyone food poisoning. They are probably selected for the job because they're a good cook and very experienced, but they'll have to save their most interesting ideas for free time from now on!

ShadowClan's warriors are the ones who REALLY drive the whacky food processing their Clan is known for. The dynamic is like this;

Snaketail: "Wishbone, how do you suggest I eat a hedgehog?"

Wishbone: "Just bake the whole thing, skin it after"

Smokepaw: "Wishboooone are these snails edible?"

Wishbone: "hmm, yes, but you may not like the taste. Purge them first and lightly soak."

Ratscar: "Ho, Wishbone! Take a look at what a monster left behind! It's too big for me to do much with, have you any ideas?"

Wishbone: "Oho! Vixen! Hmm... yes, I know just what to do with this."

A dispensery of knowledge, in addition to being in charge of official food processing within the Clan. They take on a more active role than most other Kitchen Heads in the other Clans.

the Sully kids' reaction to Jake saying Spider "knew everything" breaks my heart.

they knew him better than anyone else, better than their parents. they knew his love for Eywa, for Pandora, for The People, for the clan, for their family. they knew he would never tell the RDA anything... not willingly at least.

I think cybertronians should be more freaked out by the fact humans eat other living things.

Like come on, bots only ingest energon which is inanimate crystal juice, they’re regularly grossed out by normal organic functions, and you’re telling me they don’t bat at eye at the idea of their friendly little Sentient companions straight up killing other animals and eating them??? I feel like that should def cause more cognitive dissonance for them, esp autobots since they actually get close to humans.

Like I can see them being grossed out but accepting of the fact that wild animals eat each other- they are WILD animals and all, not exactly sentient or even necessarily intelligent after all. But HUMANS? The organic creatures that are the closest to them (going by tfp standards where they don’t mention many other organic species) in terms of structure and emotion and intelligence?? That has to be concerning on some level to them.

Referencing tfp and MTMTE where they have scraplets and sparkeaters, i feel like that’s what they’d kind of associate it with which would freak them out more. God forbid they hear about how common cannibalism is in survival situations, I don’t even know if they’d be able to sympathize the slightest bit with that considering as far as I know cannibalism Isn’t Really A Thing for them. That’s a thought in of itself tbh, would they be able to reckon with the concept of being so hungry you’d eat people you know, when it’s physically impossible for them to do that? How do you rationalize the choices others make in desperate situations when you know you’d never have to make that choice anyway and you’ll never have their perspective on it?

Anyways, I’m entertained by the idea of them being able to ignore stuff like nuggets or patties considering it doesn’t look recognizable as what it is but being downright repulsed by steaks, especially if its bloody or has bone visible. They don’t like the visual reminders of their sweet little organic friends consuming flesh and blood. Too freaky for them.

So for Spock's palette we would have his signature indigo, a nice purple with blue shimmer for formal wear, a dark bronze with a touch of shimmer to do some fierce cat eyes and a deep black with black glitter for his dramatic goth ass.

For Kirk's palette we would have a warm tan for the daily, a beautiful soft orange with gold shimmer to wear at important events, wrap-around green with coppery shimmer for dating Spock and intense yellow with gold glitter for the diva inside.

And for McCoy's palette we would have his modest blue, baby blue with silver shimmer for being fancy, a cold grey to frame the judgy eyes and champagne with baby blue glitter when feeling bold.

So...

Paramount hire me when.

I could revolutionise their merchandising department if they let me.
