Pumpkin Beer & Sharp Cheddar Gnocchi Soup

In my area of the US it's a common thing for a comfort meal especially for children is grilled cheese/cheese toastys and tomatoe soup. Is it similar where you live or is there not really a country wide (I think) idea of a comfort food for kids? If there is do you like to eat it?

I actually like grilled cheese and tomatoe soup, I like dipping my sandwich in the soup like it's an edible spoon.

Not sure if it's exactly comfort food because it takes a bit more time to make, but I would say that a very beloved food for children in my country is fried cheese with French fries. It's served either with ketchup or mayonnaise. Not the healthiest of meal, for sure, but then again, comfort meals rarely are and I can vouch that it's amazing and one of my comfort meals as well.

I once had grilled cheese when I was in America and I enjoyed it a lot. Not sure if I would combine it with a soup since in my culture only some soups are combined with bread and tomato soup is definitely not one of them, but I'm happy you enjoy it!

Girl breakfast is 5 AM canned chili with rice and Coca-Cola. Major comfort meal tbh. Like in all seriousness, this along with canned soups, instant noodles, and sandwiches are one of my go-to burnout/depression meals because it's just so low effort. Canned chili in a bowl and some rice you cooked by putting in a pot and leaving alone for half an hour. W ass meal.

That’s a loaded question, I think there’s two answers for me. One is a nostalgic childhood comfort which is simple chips and gravy. My mum used to take me to this small cafe in my town (run by the women who is currently my assistant funnily enough) we went every Tuesday and got chips and gravy and a lime thick shake. It’s a treasure memory. The other is almost certainly sushi. Sadly there’s not a lot on offer sushi wise in my town. But whenever I get the chance I get a salmon and avocado hand roll. Gotta get ginger for the kick and wasabi.

Did much better with tracking yesterday.

I got super stressed out this morning. Like, so stressed I was nearly in tears and the cat following me around & meowing nearly drove me bat shit crazy.

So... this is an anxiety attack comfort meal. Creamy but lower calories. Everything tracked.

May today get better and better.

Dinner 12/19: Chicken Noodle Soup

This soup was requested by my sore-throated husband, and the recipe ended up being very, very good! I would probably add some yellow onion next time, but overall, very good soup.

The biggest pro of this recipe is how fast and easy it is the make. I love any recipe that doesn’t take forever and doesn’t make a lot of mess. It’s warm and comforting, and I plan to make it again. :)

Hey guyss!! I am back with one of my favorite yet so easy recipe. It is my comfort meal and I can assure you it is super duper delicious

CREAMY CHICKEN PASTA

when you need something cheesy and simple this is your go to buddy

INGREDIENTS:

CHICKEN

CHEESE(S) I used two cheddar and mozzarella

PASTA (boiled)

CREAM

while you are boiling your pasta, fry the chicken on dry pan with some butter (i cut mine into pieces) and grate cheese, when chicken is nice and crisp-

turn the heat to low and add cream then slowly, start adding your cheese , so it can melt. Don't add all the cheese , add pasta and now proceed with the cheesening!!

and that's it. top it up with your favorite seasonings, salt and pepper according to your taste i have also added some left over boiled mushrooms. and voila you are done with my favorite comfort meal.
