Finally getting around and trying to make one of my favorite meals, Haluski. I got a late start because of all of the running around this morning so this isn't going to be done till about 9-10 but my egg noodles are already done and waiting. I've never actually had Haluski cooked with Polish sausage in it always on the side so that will be interesting too. I'm really hoping this will cook down some so that I can throw my Pierogies in at about the halfway point. So excited to see how this comes out!

Tonight's shitty food porn!
I decided to use that leftover curried cabbage to make some cabbage noodles. That's with the Garofalo GF mafalda corta again. I threw some frozen peas in for the last few minutes of noodle cooking, mainly for the extra color and texture variety.
I am also just eating my supper out of the bowl that I used to reheat the cabbage in the microwave. Saves washing something extra, and I like those bowls.
On the side: some easy impromptu baked dijon chicken that came up on r/OldRecipes earlier today. We still have a surplus of frozen chicken breasts, and that didn't sound like a half-bad way to use a few up. The person trying to find that recipe also mentioned their family serving it with curried rice, and I figured the chicken might also go OK with the curried haluski conglomeration I already had planned.
(A few tweaks to the mustard sauce, due to the person I am: Besides putting some herb salt all over the chicken before saucing it up, for the glaze I added a little thyme and garlic salt besides the rosemary that calls for, and actually subbed in this lemon-flavored mayonnaise we have for the oil and lemon juice. It is mostly slightly tart oil anyway, and I figured the tablespoon of lemon juice would just be too much on top of all that mustard sourness. I've also made a somewhat similar mustard sauce to bake on chicken before where I was skeptical about it actually calling for mayo, but that turned out great. This particular lemony mayo is much better to my taste as something to add a little into other things, than just to eat on a sandwich or something. Seemed like a decent way to use some of that up!)
It all did turn out pretty satisfying, btw. And not a terrible combo, for the amount of work involved.
