Hum hum.

J’ai succombé à L’orpheline de Lutens que je trouve extra. Austère mais changeant, mystérieux, mystique. Après plusieurs vaporisations, je n’ai plus été intimidée par la fleur élégante : j’ai eu l’impression qu’elle disparaissait au profit de l’encens et du bois. J’ai trouvé un flacon vraiment pas cher sur Vinted.

Cependant, je trouvais la tenue trop légère. En passant un temps fou sur internet et en lisant mille avis de parfumeurs aguerris, ou de fans désappointés, j’ai entendu parler d’Ecsentric Molecule 01, un parfum minimaliste de niche lancé dans les années 2000, très cher, alors qu’il ne propose apparemment qu’une molécule : Iso E Super. Une molécule synthétique présente en parfumerie, censée entrer en synergie avec d’autres notes et fragrances, pour les « porter ». Une molécule imitant le musc, et se faisant presque piquante, fusante, effervescente. J’avais très envie de tester la chose. Sauf que le prix, quoi. Et là, voilà ti pas que je tombe sur Instagram (je crois ?) sur la maison Divain qui ne se cache pas de faire des dupes de parfums. Des copies, quoi. J’étais suspicieuse, étonnée qu’ils aient le droit de faire ça. Mais j’ai vu le prix d’un flacon du clone d’Escentric Molecule 01 (numéro 576, donc) : 12 euros. Ça a eu raison de mes scrupules et doutes.

J’ai reçu mon flacon ce matin. Je n’ai pulvérisé qu’un pshitt sur mon avant-bras,et j’ai immédiatement aimé ce que j’ai senti. Je ne connais pas le parfum imité, vous l’aurez compris, mais ce que j’ai senti sur mon bras m’a immédiatement plu. Quelque chose de scintillant, de lumineux et de musqué. Je l’ai senti toute la journée, contrairement à ce que beaucoup d’utilisateurs disent, se plaignant de ne pas sentir cette note synthétique (il paraît qu’on retrouve cette note dans le parfum Another 13 de Le Labo, autre maison hors de prix, et que là encore, des tas de gens ne sentent pas grand chose, voire RIEN - j’imagine leur frustration). Je pense qu’on peut aisément porter 576 seul, dans plein de circonstances : l’été, au travail si on envie d’être en mode discret, à la maison, avant de dormir par exemple, pourquoi se priver ? 12 euros les 100 ml !!! Bref, pour se donner un environnement « cocon », néanmoins assez attractif. Ce soir je le teste en « layering » (oui, j’ai du vocabulaire maintenant 🤦‍♀️) avec L’orpheline. C’est trop tôt pour dire si cela fonctionne comme « propulseur » ou « fixateur » ou que sais-je. Je n’ai pas envie non plus de dénaturer le travail de Serge Lutens. Je vais procéder à divers essais.

En tout cas, ce soir, je sens parfaitement l’encens envoûtant de L’orpheline, ce qui reste un enchantement sans cesse renouvelé. Et, derrière, dessous, à côté, je ne sais, je sens une rondeur très charmante. Il va falloir que je mette au point mon dosage, pour savoir qui et combien pulvériser.

Résultat, je m’amuse, je zone le nez en l’air avec des fragrances qui me plaisent, ma foi, que demander de plus ?

PS : je viens d’avoir un flashback olfactif. Il me semble que le parfum d’Annick Goutal, Nuit étoilée, partage bien des points communs avec 576… (c’est pourtant un mélange fraîcheur citron/menthe et pin !!, allez comprendre…)

As the entire planet knows, Colette closed its doors December 2017, but luckily we were able to welcome ANOTHER 13 to our Classic Collection in our labs worldwide.

reposting my youtube comment onto here bc its literally all i can think about. caitvi may have been affecting each other's lives for far longer than they know (they may have been saving each other for far longer than they've realized too).

I've seen a lot of good theories about where the timeline divergence came from (damn the arcane fandom is so big brained sometimes, good job y'all), but this one consistently rots my brain from the inside out bc my god. i will never get over the underlying tragedy of ep 7. how one small difference could have changed it all.

arcane really is a story of what ifs, each more painful to think about than the last.

I think a lot about Jason missing his adolescence and the dismorphia he must feel waking up in a body twice his size all of a sudden.

But recently I've been thinking about the loss Bruce and Dick must feel for missing that portion of his life that they were likely looking forward to. To need to look up at their baby boy/brother all of a sudden when your last memory of him you could carry him on your hip. This man has a whole personality, memories, experiences they don't know about when just yesterday they knew everything about him.

The idea of Jason not having any scars after the Lazarus pit is also angst central usually. Jason shows up and says "I'm not the kid you knew". They look over him and the small burn on his wrist from when him and Dick tried to cook? Gone. The scar on his back from falling in training that led to him and Bruce taking a PT break together? Nowhere to be seen.

When they work together they slot into his right out of habit since he's had more of an opening there since he broke his arm but... That injury doesn't exist anymore so he moves out of that position. And they're left with that small reminder that he's grown now. He's still Jason but they don't know him like they used to anymore.
