the thematic parallels became quite explicit when we got into a huge fight about how he is incapable of admitting he cares about me out loud while everyone knows i am in love with him and in a moment of anger i yelled i don't want to beg for your affection like a fucking dog and he grabbed my shoulders and said i do whatever you say. i come when you call. i fight back but in the end you decide what's good for me. how are you the dog. i am your dog. and i looked at him for a long time, took his pinky and said swear that you are the dog and he said swear to never lie about what you want again and i said i swear. and he said woof.
