barn owls are so beautiful to see in the daylight (although rare), but i once saw one while walking home at night and all i could see was a floating white head following me with its gaze and the SCREECH, i legit thought it was some kind of eldritch creature, i almost died of fright before realising it was a barn owl.
i'm now convinced 50% of so-claimed "demon spotting" are just barn owls. the other 50% are ravens mimicking human voices.

Hello dear friends! ❤🤍🖤💚
🍉I am Mahmoud Ayyad, a Palestinian from the besieged and destroyed Gaza 😭😭, coming from an extended family of young children, women and elderly people ❤❤ who have been suffering😭😭 for 300 difficult days from an aggressive war.
Our lives are harsh because we lack all the basic necessities of life. Everything has become scarce and unattainable. There is no food, no water, no medicine.
So, I ask you to help me keep my family safe and alive, especially after we had lost all our sources of livelihood. Please do not leave my family to struggle and suffer these difficult days alone. You can support my campaign by donating whatever you can or by sharing my posts to reach others who can help us survive the war to safety and peace. You are helping the lives of many people with your small contribution. Every donation makes a difference in our very difficult lives. But this is a legitimate campaign and has been checked by 90-ghost.

urgent / A chance to save a life at a critical moment
Please share and reblog to save my family 🙏🌹

🆘/To Alaa and my family in Gaza
All thanks and gratitude for your humanitarian stances with us and your help in this critical and difficult time
15 months of displacement and famine have increased our suffering and difficulties incredibly.
I used all the words of sadness and sorrow to describe the situation we had reached, but these words were not enough.

We lost relatives and friends, my brother and father were injured, our house was destroyed, our car was burned, and everything was lost.
The scale of the suffering and tragedy is much greater than what you may have seen or witnessed on social media.
My dear friends
You can support my family either by donating or by sharing my campaign link with others so that the goal is reached as soon as possible.
Please help us we are very tired and no one is looking at us
I hope everyone will donate and share my story.

🌸 From One Mother’s Heart – Please Read 🌸
My name is Saja. I’m a wife, a mother, and a woman who once believed her story would be simple. I thought my days would be filled with watching my daughter grow — from her first smile to her first steps — surrounded by the small joys of everyday life.
But life had other plans.

War has returned to our home. Again. And once again, we find ourselves living under skies that never seem to rest.
There was a moment — a fragile, breathless moment — when the bombs paused and the world seemed to remember us. It gave us hope. We thought maybe, just maybe, we could start to rebuild. But now, we are back in the dark — hiding, holding on, praying.
I’m writing this not as someone seeking pity, but as a mother who has no other choice but to speak.
Imagine holding your baby in the middle of the night, not because she cried, but because the world outside roared too loud for either of you to sleep. Imagine whispering bedtime stories not to lull her into dreams, but to keep the fear from settling into her tiny bones.
This is my life.
This is my daughter’s life.
And even now — especially now — I believe in softness. I believe in kindness. Because when everything else is taken from you, hope becomes the most valuable thing you have.
Why I’m Reaching Out Our home has been damaged. Our lives changed. But through it all, my daughter wakes up every morning with a smile. She reaches for me with trust, with love, with faith that I will keep her safe.
That’s why I keep going.
I’ve launched a campaign to ask for help — not because it’s easy, but because silence is no longer an option. I am asking for support not just for me, but for my baby, and for the quiet strength of so many mothers like me who are fighting, every single day, to hold their families together.
How You Can Help: 🤍 Help us restore parts of our home so we can live with dignity 🤍 Support women and mothers in Gaza with access to care and resources 🤍 Keep the light of hope alive for a generation born in the shadows of war
💛 If you can, please support our journey here:
If you can’t give, please consider sharing. Your voice might be the reason someone else hears ours.
From My Heart to Yours Maybe our lives are worlds apart. Maybe you’ve never lived through war. But if you’ve ever held a child and wished the world could be better for them — then you understand more than you know.
I don’t want my daughter to grow up thinking the world turned away.
Please, if you’ve read this far — thank you. Thank you for seeing us. Thank you for caring. We are still here. Still hoping. Still holding on to every kind act like it’s a lifeline.
With love and endless gratitude

A Future Beyond War Starts With You 💙
My name is Naser, and war has taken everything from me—my mother, my sister, my home, and the life I once knew. In an instant, my world was shattered, leaving behind nothing but memories and the weight of loss.
But even in the darkest moments, I refuse to give up. Because amidst the pain, I still have something worth fighting for—my three younger brothers.
🔹 One dreams of becoming a doctor, to heal others so they don’t have to endure the pain we’ve faced.
🔹 Another aspires to be an engineer, hoping to one day rebuild what war has destroyed.
🔹 And the youngest? He doesn’t have big dreams yet—he just wants to be a kid again, to wake up in a home that feels safe, to play without fear.

🏡 We Need a Home. We Need Education. We Need Hope.
Right now, we are not just fighting for survival—we are fighting for the chance to live, to grow, to dream again. We are fighting for a future where my brothers can become the doctor, the engineer, the child who gets to have a childhood.
💙 This is where you come in.
I’m not asking for much—just a chance. A chance to rebuild, to give my brothers a future beyond war.
Your support, whether through a donation or simply sharing our story, can make all the difference. Even the smallest act of kindness can create ripples of change.
🙏 Will you help us rebuild?
Together, we can prove that war doesn’t get the final word—hope does. Thank you for standing with us. 💙✨

What Strength Really Means 💪
✅️ Vetted by @gazavetters {537} ✅️
Hey everyone, my name is Abdelmajed. I don’t usually talk much about myself, but today, I want to share a little piece of my story.

I was born and raised in Gaza, a place that has always been my home 🏡. I grew up surrounded by my family, my friends, and the streets that I knew like the back of my hand. Life wasn’t always easy, but we had love, laughter, and dreams. I used to think that no matter what happened, home would always be here. But life has a way of changing things in ways we never expect.
Over the past months, everything I once knew has disappeared. The streets that were once filled with children playing are now silent. The houses that held so many memories are now just rubble. And the people I loved—some of them are gone forever. 💔

Desperate Plea: A Call For Relife‼️ 🥀

Hello, It's Momen Al Madhoun, writing from the most miserable area in the whole world, I am deeply thankful to all of you. Your support means the world to my family
🍉🍉🍉 I urgently plead you to keep sharing our campaign with your friends, family, and acquaintances
15 months have passed as if it were 15 years, and suffering increasing day after day 😔
Our health is decaying, we have NO IMMUNITY to fight diseases. No healthy food to feed our worn cells. Finding a quiet, clean place for us to get some rest is IMPOSSIBLE! I'm in urgent need of serious financial support so that I can take action and save my family! Our faces speak the misery we're going through! my children can't bear the ruthlessness of war life… pain and cold does not allow either of them to sleep 💔

I found in drawing a way to relieve stress and describe what we are experiencing, but even this i was deprived of, due to the difficulty of obtaining good internet and electricity for a sufficient time If you are interested in art, you can check my blog and find my artworks, i hope you will share them and support me to continue fighting and trying Every share and donation brings us one step closer to saving my family's lives. Your support, no matter how small, holds the power to rescue my loved ones from grave danger There are no words can describe how many times we have been displaced The situation we're living now is really hard to imagine Where do we Go?

Imagine the vastness of this universe, we cannot escape to a safe place far from the war
🍉🍉🍉 We rely on your donations to have a shelter and provide basic daily necesseties. We need your contributions and support with us, no matter how small it may be for you, but it makes a difference for my family 🙏🏻 Please, Support us with 5$, 10$, or any donation you can make and it will be really appreciated 🙏🏻

yesss. i've always seen catra as autistic with bpd.
to add to the list of autistic traits she displays listed above (copying, alexithymia, masking, meltdowns, social isolation, stimming, sensory issues, touch aversion unless she chooses it, rigid morals and values) i'd say script following in social interactions (this relates to the point OP made about catra's mimicking and masking behaviour) and good pattern recognition. because of these catra can navigate social interactions where she's playing that one specific role, with snarky remarks, quick wit, always one step ahead of others, never letting her guard down (as OP said, she's acting like others expect her to, she's masking). she's also a good observer, and her good pattern recognition and attention to detail help her with understanding other people's thought patterns, making it easier for her to find their weak points. When she stops following this script (which isn't representative of who she really is) and tries to make genuine connections, she's actually a bit awkward in social interactions and doesn't really know how to act, sometimes accidentally saying or doing things others don't like (not understanding social etiquettes and cues).
idk, seeing her trying to interact with everyone in the princess allience in s5 and being so awkward was really relatable.
i'd also add to the list of autistic traits "fear of change" and "need for control".
i know a lot of autistic, bpd and ptsd traits overlap, and most of these listed do too, but it's also true that they have a high comorbity, since autistic kids, being already highly sensitive, have a high chance to develop bpd and ptsd if they go to trauma and abuse, like catra did.
anyway, i see catra as autistic with bpd and adora as autistic with adhd and i'll stand by this.
I'm very interested in hearing your thoughts on Catra also being autistic 👀
Oh jeez I’m sorry I didn’t see this until now.
Reasons why I think Catra is autistic-
Being touch adverse or liking personal space
This is also related to her trauma (but keep in mind autists being touched against our will over and over is traumatizing) but there are plenty of us that don’t like to be touched unless it’s by the Special Person (ie Adora) and only like to be touched on our own terms. Catra is not a very touchy person, even with people she considers friends and clearly likes to have a wide circle around her.
Copying- a lot of autists, especially girls and women, tend to do this as a way of social blending and we tend to do it on the sense of “Oh this is just the way Things Are Done” and don’t question it, even if it causes us great distress and pain. Catra tends to copy Shadow Weavers behavior, despite it obviously not being her true nature and causing her to eventually crumble (see S4). She also tries to copy Adora in someways as well as other recruits. It seems to give her a sense of safety and that This Is The Way It Must Be.
Alexithymia: Catra, while have very strong and all consuming emotions (also a symptom of autism for some of us) doesn’t seem to understand them very much and often misinterprets them, which also leads to some other autistic traits I’ll get into. She misreads her sense of loneliness and wanting love and safety as wanting power and responsibility and to be In Control. She doesn’t seem to fully register her feelings for Adora to be love until S5 and seems to compartmentalize her emotions and have a hard time reading them.
Meltdowns and Bridge Burning
Meltdowns are common and all of us autists are familiar with them, and to me hers looks like mine a lot, crying, yelling, screaming, breaking things. Often when she’s overloaded she’ll hit or claw something, cry uncontrollably, and can’t console herself for a good while. She even pulls at her hair.
Bridge burning is a little lesser known subject, I’d call them “social meltdowns”. Pretty much “this person/suitation is making me feel bad and overwhelmed and therefor Is Bad and I must cut off all connection and push them away” which we see Catra do with multiple characters; Adora, Scorpia, Entrapta, etc. often happens more in times of stress and when we feel we have the world on our shoulders.
Masking: in this case, sometimes literally
She tends to conform to what others expect of her and hides her true self and feelings, doesn’t let others see her be vulnerable or breakdown. She puts on the front she believes others want to see or will keep her safe. ND says she’s a “hufflepuff trying to be a slythirin” for lack of better terms.
Stimming:

I interpret a lot of her cat sounds (purring, chirping, hissing) as stims for either when she’s happy or overwhelmed. She’s also seen flapping sometimes or doing repetitive movements with her hands- her tail flicking and swishing I also interpret as stims, ones that show her true emotions.
And there’s also the fact that I just relate to her *a lot* and have a similar story to her (without the war crimes lol), her story has moved me so much and this story will always mean something to me. I love her

hi, a lot of you need a perspective reset
the average human lifespan globally is 70+ years
taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult
at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)
'middle age' is typically considered to be between 45-65
it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age
it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.
you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, be fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.
young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!
there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big
