A Prissy Girl’s Guide to Fall

back by popular demand, i’m here with another prissy girl guide! this post is a bit late for the fall but it’ll allow you to finish the season off in a pretty fashion, and transition to the winter smoothly. i’ll be discussing the look i’ve been adorned in as of late and my fav products i’ll be using for the spirit of fall! 💓

what’s the look this fall?

the look this season is “divalicious barbie.” voluminous hair, tapered square nails and fur details + neutral color palettes. add in a few pops of pink and some sparkly detailz and you got my look this fall. “sexy chic.” i’ve been really leaning into the vibe of a runway supermodel diva emulsion. as you may have seen, my birthday outfit drew from many inspirations, focally the early nineties alaia runway shows. just immense glamour, class and girliness with a healthy dose of sexy.

first and foremost…

the weather is turning so a lot of us are catching colds. take care of your health and rest. protect your immune system and dress according to weather. i almost always get sick around late september/early october and its because of the dip my immune system takes due to the change in climate.

preparation

some of you are in school like me. one of the reasons the fall is my fav season is because it’s time to get back to the basics. you should be developing new study routines around this time or perfecting the ones you have already

new school supplies + stationery. pretty girls deserve to stay stocked up on glitter ink and fuzzy pens

start saving money for the holiday season

get a handle on your halloween look early so not to scramble when the day comes

stock up on tea, immune boosters like emergen-c and medicine

start going outside in the morning to get the vitamin D and K you may lose out on as the seasons turn

set new goals and track them in a diary or planner

try to get well rested. the change from fall to winter can cause a lot of mood and energy complications due to lack of rest

☆ Simon riley would stop at nothing when it comes to seeing you smile from behind the screen. Every laugh, every smile, every conversation, it's all worth hearing and listening to.

☆ He purposely tries to do things to make you laugh, whether it be a bad joke or make a funny falling animation when he dies

☆ He adores watching as you play the game and yell at the enemies whenever one of them nearly kills you- or well, him. Watching you fawn over any new skins he got is always such an ego booster for him

☆ Seeing you sad over stuff you've read on accident about him hurts him. But that's okay, he'll do everything to make sure you see him for who he is, not who he's said to be

☆ He knows he brings you comfort and he won't stop trying to continue that comfort

☆ Andre Nikto hurts when he sees you sad. Watching you play the game silently or watch tiktoks of him for seconds before clicking off because you aren't in the mood worries him. He was never one who said his love outloud, especially since he had to hide the fact he was aware in the first place, but with you it's more than worth it

☆ He would use nicknames in his voicelines while you played, hyping you up as you killed another person in an attempt to get you to take all of your emotions out on the game. He just wanted you to be okay

☆ Then he would let you win in every game. He also would glitch the game out sometimes and allow you to have free skins, but you didnt know that and thought of it as being lucky

☆ He does anything qnd everything for you, even going as far as lagging out someone's game and overheating their system so they couldn't play the game anymore because they DARED insult your gameplay

(even though it was not said in voice chat, it was said in the comfort of their home)

☆ König listens whenever he hears you rant, even if it's not to him directly. Hearing you talk to your friends as you talk about things that affected you and always trying to do things during the game to help boost your mood.

☆ He knows that sometimes glitches can be funny to you, so he'll make glitches happen to make you laugh. He'll even make the enemy team lose even though their score was higher than your team's score. Everything is worth it if it makes you smile in the end, even if it frustrates others

☆ He hopes you aren't affected by what has happened recently and that you can see him in a better light. He knows things have been rough for you recently and he hopes that it heals whatever is going on.

☆ He'll say more tender voicelines, making sure to add "Schatz" or "Liebling" at the end to make you feel more safe towards him. He never wants you to feel any other way other than happy, and he'll be damned if he let's you feel sad or icky

Name: Rocky Wrench

Debut: Super Mario Bros. 3

Get a load of this guy! A recurring enemy, debuting in one of the most beloved games, and major enough to even get a LEGO version... and he's over here as if he's Weird. Well he is! Weird is relative! You might think a goat is a normal animal, but if you do, you have clearly forgotten that they effortlessly climb trees and steep slopes, with hooves. Weird is all around us, and if you find yourself growing jaded to it, remember a Fun Fact to mentally slap some sense back into yourself.

Rocky Wrench is not rocky, and he is not a wrench, either! He is manholey and throws wrenches. On first glance, he looks like a turtley mole, but we are commonly assured that he is ACTUALLY a moley turtle. Strange! This is not a mere mole with a shell, this is a turtle with a cartilaginous nose and teeth and presumably fur. Even if he is truly a turtle, the design is pleasantly mole-like, with the claws, snout, and teeth! This is a guy who would love to bite an earthworm, and who would be very good at it. He would NOT eat a vegetable.

Huhwhuh! What's going on! They turned Rocky Wrench into a guy who would eat a vegetable, and relish every nibble! One of the most egregious parts of New Super Mario Bros. Wii's new standardized art direction is that Rocky Wrench's original design was just entirely lost. This is, obviously, just Monty Mole wearing goggles! And I like Monty Mole, but when I am in the mood for Monty Mole, I can look at Monty Mole. This is not even a turtle by ANY measure now. It's almost a cruel joke now, having a rodent enemy with "mole" in its name, and redesigning the actually mole-looking enemy to be an identical rodent. Gophers and moles can coexist! We all dig for our own reasons. Isn't that something to celebrate? We would, at least, get a true talpid later in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

But some never gave up hope. Remember this? Have you seen this? It's good. It's Super Mario Odyssey concept art for the Broodals, if they were to use existing enemy species for the characters! Even in the middle of the Rocky Rodent Era, there were people at Nintendo who thought, "let's use the old Rocky Wrench design again". Here, Rango would have been a tall Rench (Rocky + Wrench. I know it doesn't really work. Sorry) wearing a spiky squash for a hat! Not very fashionable, but bold. And certainly easier to wear than a whole manhole cover! Rocky Wrench would continue to be portrayed as a rodent for years, including in Mario Kart Tour, where he even got a Mii costume! Was this all a ploy to become marketable?

But then, something happened.

Last year, we received the trailer for the final wave of the The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Game For Nintendo Switch Systems' Booster Course Pass DLC Content. And we all noticed something strange. Something different.

Holy moley! The guy in that hole looks moley! Suddenly, to the surprise of everyone, Rocky Wrench was re-redesigned, now resembling the one that I assume people in 1988 fell in love with. I don't know. I wasn't there. But wow! We don't know why they decided to do this, but we're all happy they did! More visual variety in enemies is always better than less! It's especially weird considering the very same track in Tour had the Monty-like design, but I'm not complaining, I'm celebrating!

Looking at Super Mario Party Jamboree, it's clear that, at least for now, Mole-Like Rocky Wrench is here to stay. And hooray for that. Cheers, even. He completely changed his presentation for mass appeal, and now he's going back to being himself, unashamed! Be like Rocky Wrench! Express yourself while simultaneously hiding in a hole.
