I feel like the only “modern setting” sherlock holmes show I’d genuinely be interested in would be one that was still set in the victorian era but inexplicably had the trappings of a mockumentary. The stories play out as they are in canon but are interjected by cuts of the characters making digs at each other and expressing how they actually felt about the situation directly to the audience. Specifically as a comedic/meta way of discussing the subtext of the stories and the common misconceptions about them.
