it is absolutely fucking wild to me how louis in the very beginning of iwtv wasn’t phased by lestat at all. lestat can read his mind? he got tricks is all. lestat can talk to him without moving his lips? he’s french. lestat can LEVITATE? the dick is just that good!

This poll has brought to my attention just how many people have never even heard of this game, which is a little sad…so hey, before you scroll along your feed, I am quite literally about to give you something COMPLETELY FREE to play that will possibly give you a precious escape from reality for MONTHS. I played this game two years ago and it’s still in my head…

So, what is Vincent: the Secret of Myers and why should YOU play it?

Well for one, this game features:

The fandom is small, like everyone-knows-each-other kind of small, but that also means it’s close-knit and not as overwhelmingly large or toxic as some other fandoms out there. I’d say it’s fairly easy to get into!

The game itself takes 5ish hours to play, less if you consider yourself good at puzzles or you use the official walkthrough. You might get bored early on, but the bulk of the features I mentioned are in chapter 4 so I urge you to stick with it!

And if you’re still skeptical, you can try a game in the same universe first: Therapy with Dr. Albert Kruegar. This game takes an hour or so to play all 3 endings, and it’s a bit more fast-paced, so it might feel more manageable for you. Plus, whether or not you enjoy this game can help you decide if Vincent: The Secret of Myers is worth your time!

You can find both games on itch.io! Mac users might have a little problem getting it to work but there’s a very easy work-around (I myself use a Mac for gaming) so if you do end up trying it let me know or something!

TL;DR - Benefits of playing Vincent: The Secret of Myers include: small fandom, gay people, autism, cats, relatively short playing time, joy and whimsy.
