su-bong opened his eyes. who the fuck was rustling around? the boy didnt know the time but if he could guess, he would think it would be early morning- roughly three am.

the boy sat up and rubbed his eyes, tiredly. hair was stucking up in every direction. eyes and cheeks puffy. su-bong squinted his eyes. someone was standing on the ladder to his bunk. he could barely make out the shaking figure.

"nam-su?" su-bong frowned. nam-gyu looked..not okay and it worried the boy. "are you good, my boy? come here." thanos scooched over making space for namgyu. he patted the bed.

"you look like you seen a ghost- whats up- is that my locket?" he watched as namgyu held the locket tightly in his hand. when did he even take it? thanos couldnt even remember.

"you dont have to tell me if you dont want. but gimme back my locket, bro. seriously." he rolled his eyes, going to grab the locket from his friends hand.

thanos ears twitched as he opened his eyes. the room was pitch black, the sound of distant snores from other players could be heard.

thanos slowly opened his eyes, feeling his heart quicken up. there was someone sitting at the end of his bunk. shadow covering their face. was someone up here with him? he knew some of the players on the other side were planning an attack. were they starting with him first.

the sound of the heartbeat echoed in his ears as he felt the weight of the figure leave his bed, slowly climbing down the ladder. leaving out a small breath, thanos instinctively reached for the small locket around his neck.

it wasn’t there. it was gone. thanos sat up quickly, eyes darling around the room as he adjusted to the darkness. small light could be seen around the room. just barely making out the figure what seemed to be walking quietly away from thanos’s bunk.

it was namgyu.

namgyu moved swiftly down the ladder, letting out a slow breath, convinced he was in the clear. just a few more steps, and he’d be back in his own bunk.

but then, a shift in the air made him pause.

his instincts flared, and he turned his head slightly— only to lock eyes with thanos.

even in the darkness, he could see the way thanos sat rigidly in his bed, his eyes wide, his hand still gripping at his now-empty neck.

so, he had woken up after all.

a slow smirk curled at namgyu’s lips, amusement dancing in his expression. he tilted his head just slightly, as if to taunt thanos further, whispering— 'yeah, i took it. and you didn’t think i had the balls, did you, bro?'
