gooosh The Priory School. Watson shushing Mrs Hudson and keeping quiet because Holmes is sleeping/thinking on the settee and then slipping the note into Holmes' breast pocket. the gentle touch on Watson's shoulder when Holmes tells him to go and pack. the absolute sassiness of Huxtable's "you may have heard of it" and Holmes' nonchalant "no". the landscape? the locations? Holmes and Watson strolling through the moors together, and Watson's monologue up on the hill when Holmes isn't paying attention, and the look on Holmes' face when he realizes that Watson's hungry, and when he tells him that there is a hostel just down the road - utterly priceless. and the confrontation Watson has with Hayes, and Holmes' tender looks and curious glances as he watches how Watson handles the conversation? and THEN, who allowed Jeremy Brett to be SUCH a diva?? like, he walks around with his deerstalker and a scarf, and I've never before seen a man that is so obviously not straight. and he rides a horse?? and a bicycle?? in a single episode?? what the hell even??

Granada Holmes' attention to detail is truly incredible; in the show, Holmes and Watson have a cane backed sofa and chair set in their sitting-room.

I was just flipping through the stories and happened to see one line in The Disappearance of Lady Frances Carfax where Watson is sitting in a cane backed chair in their rooms.

Also I found this picture of Watson (Edward Hardwicke) holding a gun like that with that look on his face and it is one of the most perfect Doctor Watson images ever produced.

He looks like Sherlock Holmes either asked to borrow the gun, or just handed it to him and hasn't acknowledged that it's a loaded gun.

OH NO this is so cute 😂😂

Lately, I've found it very difficult to get out of bed in the mornings. So I've come up with a plan. Here it is:

I made a not at all weird little cut-out of Holmes from the 'What is it, a fire?!' scene. I am going to put it up on the shelf next to my bed and put my phone behind it. When my alarm goes off, I will have to sit up to reach my phone. I will then have to look at cardboard Holmes and I will a) be so amazed by his beauty b) have a 'do it for him' moment c) be so baffled by my own silliness that I will immediately be wide awake and get out of bed. Wish me luck.
