ugh i have to write myself vacay eating rules otherwise I'll just keep binging:
track calories
goal 1500 or less, def not over 2000
goal 10k+ steps a day
eat gum when you feel like having a dumb snack
only eat what you can reasonably estimate the amount and calories of
DO NOT eat any more than necessary "because it's vacation" or a "special occasion"
ffs don't lose control. always choose the lesser calorie option/skipping extra food.

Here's a tip you will probably need!!
If you're trying to ⭐️ve and start a new 'healthy eating' plan- DONT BUY IN BULK!!
Or if you do, buy things that are long lasting!!! E.G, ricecakes, protein bars, slim noodles etc.
DONT buy a shitload of low cal meals/food items to replace your fridge that are in danger of going off fast.
Because that trains you into going "Oh, I need to eat this before it goes off!", even if you've already gone over your cal limit of the day.
If you're starving, go out and buy something. Get a cucumber, get some strawberries, get some yogurt. Pros if you walk to the shop too (no matter how far it is).
Don't train yourself to eat just because it's there! (It'll help you save money too).
I struggled with this for a long time, but when I realised what I was doing and only bought when I needed to, I lost 10kg in two and a half weeks (with only walking around at work). It really helps.

alright y'all, i had a little menty b and started restricting again, which means it's time i put you guys on something again:
cucumber salads
yes, like the tiktok famous cucumber salads that one boy that looks like gen z draco malfoy makes in the big ol deli containers that you get your wonton soup in. one english cucumber? 45 kcal. and one usually fills up a whole 4 cup container for me. then you add small amounts of a few sauces, seasonings, and dressings, and boom. low cal volume food that looks more substantial than it is.
i've been loving spicy peanut (a little peanut butter, chili crisp, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and msg (obviously)) but i also love doing salt and vinegar, pb&j (a little peanut butter and a little jelly goes a long way here!), salmon bagel, sushi roll... whatever flavor profiles you like, but with a base of cucumber instead of rice/red meat/carbs/other high cal foods. like,,,,, how much better can you get???
and bonus points if you make it spicy, that's a built in appetite suppressant right there. i'm having the peanut one (about 300 kcal altogether, mostly because i poured too much soy sauce and had to counterbalance with a little extra peanut butter so that the sauce sticks) and i'm barely making it halfway through. y'all. trust.

the correct way to come out of a fast 🎀
i’m not a health acc, nor am i an ed acc, but i see a lot of girlies ending their fasts wrong, and that can be super dangerous. life threatening, even. so i decided to write this cus i have a lot of experience with fasting 🫶🏼
(if on a liquid diet, skip to step 4)
1. time
it’s a super simple process, but it’s definitely time consuming. the amount of time you were fasting is the amount of time it takes to come out of a fast. (e.g. one year i fasted for all of ramadan, even at night. i only fasted for two weeks, then slowly incorporated food back into my diet for the other two weeks)
2. liquid food
i saw someone eat an apple straight after their fast.
you cannot under any circumstances do that!!
shocking your system with food is dangerous. the first thing you should be having is a teaspoon of *blended* apple in a glass of water. (blend a peeled apple with a little bit of water to get the right consistency. do not use store bought apple juice)
it’s gross, but it’s necessary.
slowly over time, increase the ratio, until you are just drinking the blended apple. (the amount of time it takes depends on the amount of time you fasted)
3. liquid food cont.
once you start drinking just the apple, start mixing in other fresh fruits and veggies - preferably ones with a lot of nutrients. make sure it’s not too heavy.
(side note: don’t add any milk or yogurt to the smoothies, nothing but plain water!)
4. food (kinda?)
you can’t eat normally just yet, just a little more to go!! there are two options of how to do this step
one is to make the smoothies chunkier, so you have something to chew
the second is cutting yourself a *tiny* piece of apple and chewing it until you physically can’t anymore.
they are pretty similar, so it’s up to you :) (make sure to chew very well for both btw, not just the second option)
as always, slowly increase the amount of solids until…
5. FOOD! (finally 😮‍💨)
congrats! you can now eat normally!! 🥳🥳🥳
it sucks that it takes so long, but i cannot stress enough how important it is! people have actually died from ending a fast wrong before. please look after your health 🤍
if you don’t like apples, or are allergic, you can substitute them for blueberries, though you’ll have to strain the skin out until you can start chewing 🤷🏼‍♀️ (if you don’t like blueberries, then use cucumbers or lettuce, idk)

A tip for restricting:
Instead of trying to eat nothing for the whole day, have something small for breakfast and make lunch the biggest meal of the day. Ghrelin (the hunger hormone in your body) has a circadian rhythm and usually gets a spike around 7pm. When you don't eat enough earlier in the day the amount of ghrelin increases further and faster, and when 7 pm comes around the spike is much larger than it would be otherwise. This is what usually leads to binging!
But when you put most of your cals into the middle of the day, this decreases the amount of ghrelin released significantly. I usually have a light breakfast and then I'll have a lunch of about 300-600 cals. By the time 7 pm rolls around I have no cravings, and I can usually have something of about 100-200 cals and stay under my limit. A nice thing about this is that you can show other people that you're eating so they don't get suspicious. I've also become more mindful about the nutrition in my meals so I can get the most out of the meals that I'm eating.
But anyway...yeah. I guess I would call this the 100-400-200 diet, or something. Obv you can alter the cal amounts for meals but I think this gives a lot more freedom about what you can eat.

I’ve been in and out of treatment centers for my anorexia and I’m so done with it. I just want to be pale, skinny, and delicate; like a walking skeleton. I still live at home and attend a community college but I won’t finish my associates until spring 2026 (if all goes according to plan). Until then, I have to stick to a meal plan that’s forcing me to gain weight. I want to be skinny and free of this. I don’t know what to do, the only thing keeping me going is thinking of my future, when I can starve myself as much as I want without my parents sending me to treatment. What do I do?

NEED HELP FROM ED TUMBLR
It's been a year...I am struggling again. I have now reached 230 lbs. I feel my weight slipping out of control. I feel like my only option now is to go back to my old ways. In high school I used to limit my calorie intake to roughly 400 a day. I used to be 5'6 and 118 lbs in high school. I recovered later but after a knee injury a few years ago, my weight rocketed from being 5'7.5" at 135 lbs to 230 lbs (BMI=36). I want to shed this weight, but I am faced with a new predicament. I have now become a binge eater and my appetite feels out of control. I don't want to start purging because I already hate throwing up and I know that it can lead to lifelong acid reflux and I do NOT want that either. I need help from ED tumblr. I am getting serious on losing weight and I honestly don't care if it is done in an unhealthy way at this point. I just want to be thin again. Is there any hacks to appetite suppression so I can fast/send my body into starvation mode so I can burn the fat off? Are there ways to keep my calorie consumption low with a binging problem without purging? ATP my gw is 120 lbs (BMI=18.8 or lower is good). I just wanna look like one of those stick thin emo boys from myspace again...
PLEASE NO NEGATIVE REINFORCEMENT. I ALREADY KNOW I AM FAT!! PLEASE DON'T SHAME ME FOR MY WEIGHT, I AM ACTIVELY LOOKING FOR WAYS TO LOSE IT!!!
