****Spoilers for the WaT new chapters*****

Just 6 chapters and they’ve literally revealed so much - like I’m halfway through my re-read ( on WoR atm) and the number of times the “Wind” and Shallans “fortune” is spoken of is crazy!

Like Kaladin’s chasm kata thing and he fights with the wind and she laughs? The wind guiding his steps when he’s protecting Adolin during the “Whitesspine uncaged” so much that he could still doge with his eyes closed!!!!!

Also when Shallan draws after she sinks the ship in the beginning of WoR. She draws Yelb climbing out of the water with other survivors and a woman carving out a fake body beneath her (what Jasnah basically did with soulcasting to save herself from the assassins)!!! Fortune!!! (Didn’t know what the heck this was at first but coppermind comes in clutch once again.)

they tried to rebrand as The Criminals but riz is literally the city council's treasurer and also turns out people in their late 20s don't really name their friend groups. so now they're The Intrepid Heroes

I didnt have the energy to express that in ink but thats the ult version #adaine I truly imagine to grow up to be the perpetual t shirt and jeans person but she carries her sword everywhere #gorgugs truth is that shes just hot she can wear anything. but I do give him the skirt hike bc I love him #I really like skirt hike... such a fun thing to put in designs. if ur garment has no variance in how it falls or drapes u can do it urself #this is also a little bit of an exercise in how much of an accessory I can freehand from memory #fig's bass I straight up did not fact check for. just rawdogging it memory only. same with fandrangor and adaine's crocs #I did write in my funny little document that gorgug takes up baking and is good at it bc I think itd be good for him #to do basically chemistry and math that also feeds people #out of them... kristen and riz would be Good good at it. but riz would get way too stressed abt the recipe and kristen bakes by #eyeballing the texture. fabian likes decorating but refuses to get anywhere near the heat of an oven. adaine isnt good at it first try #and is like well my effort goes to other things actually. fig Loves baking and Nobody lets her into the kitchen #idk why this manifests so clear in my head. must be bc of recent foccacia events #living in the subtropics is hell for baking nobody try it ok? LITTLE GUY O'CLOCK

whew!! I've had this idea for a soot sprite cosplay for Litcherally so long, i thought it was never going to happen but lo and behold! here he be!! !!! I was trying to avoid fur projects to give the Dust Situation in my abode a rest but that...did not happen 🤨

This costume is another primarily suede affair, with only a few accent fabrics other than the faux fur. 90% of fabrics were from big z....again. The things of note on this guy are the chubby stars which are all painted novelty stress balls! also the big soot sprite, Augustus, is actually a fur covered beach ball.

I've always gotten a kick out of this design and thought the soot sprites were just endlessly charming, so i'm pretty happy with this project!

#the right either actively or passively wants us dead or disappeared because of our genders #and the left apparently wants us dead or disappeared for being Jews #where can we go?#who can we turn to?#who can we rely on but ourselves?#it's terrifying and excruciating #I'm so tired of begging people to see me as a person #trans advocacy is so important right now and being in trans community is so vital #and yet far too many trans activists and community leaders were cheering on the deaths of my people not three weeks ago #pan-Jewish solidarity is so important right now and being in Jewish community is so important #and yet a disturbing number of the strongest voices advocating for Jewish people's humanity and right to self-determination #are also very right-wing #and refuse to see not even the truth of our lived experiences but fail entirely to see our humanity as trans people at all #so again I ask: where are we supposed to go??

Gog au niigo for tonights doodle

#I am still deeply stuck in the huh? hwah? stage but I think I at least found a presentation I'm happy with #so ig that's the last gog au post from this blog (I still will reblog upcomming art and tagg them adequately so there is no real loss lmao)#now here comes the usual “man idk” speech #species are still more or less randomly picked. I did settle on only using the owls mentioned in the books (lest I study all 268 owls)#I really like making Mafuyu a sooty owl (cuz the design slaps(objective truth)) Ena as a burrowing owl would be fun #and Mizuki is a short eared owl. Mainly becausen those are the “the eyliner owls” for me...also I like short eared owls #Kanade is a borreal owl because they are noted to have a beautiful song (unless the ger edition made that up (idk this is the idk speech))#for Kanade I thought it would be nice to make her a normal colored owl that turned white due to stress. Yeah, whatever. Xaden has lied to her. When he told her he had no intention of falling for her over and over again. When he said she was the last person he’d want bonded to him. When he said he was perfectly in control of his emotions around her. Call them exaggerations if you like, but technically they are lies.

“Well the signet hadn’t manifested yet” Ok, well tell me why Xaden saying “I can’t lie to her” in the Fourth Wing bonus chapter is apparently foreshadowing, then? Why can the evidence suit your theory, but not my counterargument?

Don’t even get me started on the constant lying by omission. Not telling her about the venin or his second signet or the deal with her mother. He didn’t lie, but he also did not tell her the truth. The signet is called ‘truth-sayer’, not ‘lie-preventer’.

If you couldn’t tell, I am not a fan of the truth-sayer theory.
