To go along with these flags
Dissociative Disorder flag/Simplified/Alternative simplified
These are general dissociative disorder flags so they can be used by anyone with any kind of dissociative disorder, regardless of if they are part of a system or not.
like with the flags in the other post the grays represent various way dissociation manifests and different intensities, the teal is used as it is the color of both the PTSD and dissociation awareness. The near white around the teal is the main flag represents moments of clarity, and how when you have experience chronic dissociation the moments of clarity can sometimes feel as disorienting if not more than being heavily disassociated.
Complex Dissociative Disorder (CDD) flag/Simplified/More simplified
These are complex dissociative disorder flags so they for anyone with any kind of dissociative disorder that cause a system (DID, OSDD-1,P-DID, and SOME but not all cases of UsDD)
The design with this one is supposed to resemble a rainbow that represents the diversity of CDD experiences.
Unspecified Dissociative Disorder (U(s)DD) flag/Simplified/More simplified
These are general unspecified dissociative disorder flags so they can be used by anyone with any manifestation of unspecified dissociative disorder, regardless of if they are part of a system or not.
This flag has a similar meaning to the dissociative disorder flag, but with added dark blue to represent mystery about the exact nature of one's dissociative disorder. The gray is also shifted to be reddish just to make it look more distinctive.
Unspecified Dissociative Disorder System (U(s)DD system) flag/Simplified/More simplified
These are specifically unspecified dissociative disorder system flags, so they are for those UsDD who are part of a system. However UsDD systems can also just use the general UsDD flag if they prefer it, or use both if you want.
Similar story to the general unspecified dissociative disorder flag, but with added orange from the DID flag to represent the existence of a system.

a reminder that the host isn’t the only person in the system who should be respected and made to feel comfortable.
the host is not ‘the important part’, we are all completely conscious and capable of our own thoughts, feelings and our own boundaries. our brain created us because it decided that we are all important and needed.
the host is not the only member of a system you should care about.

shout out to all the systems that formed from “unusual” trauma or trauma that's never talked about in this community - being bullied, sibling abuse or abuse from someone that's not your parent, near death experience(s), medical abuse, and anything and everything else
you're all valid. the child's brain is incredibly fragile and everyone is traumatized differently. just because your trauma wasn't from a parent, doesn't make you any less valid.
i wish more people spoke about the other sources of trauma

things to do with dissociative disorders that aren’t talked about enough:
- the most horrible migraines you can think of
- body dysphoria
- CONSTANT denial
- the pain of having to figure out who new alters are and how they got there
- not being able to tell even the people closest to you cause of how much it’s been sterotyped
- the Disorder Police(TM) coming for you the millisecond you stray from the stereotypes
- not being able to tell therapists and doctors due to fear of being called crazy (this one might just be me idk)

Is it just me or do endos just post the most surface level things about plurality??
I saw a post saying "Plural culture is having to explain to your friends why you sometimes don't remember things and act different."
Like sure that's true but it's like one of the most well-known things ever, it's been said hundreds of times.
It honestly strengthens my belief that these people really don't know what plurality is beyond Tumblr and maybe a Wikipedia page or two. It just makes it seem like they didn't put much effort into learning what plurality actually is beyond the most well-known things about it.

I've been seeing a very, very concerning trend on sysblr (CDD version) lately.
"If there's no documentation of this symptom/personal internal experience, then it's not real and you're misinterpreting what's happening to you."
Let's just talk about this, shall we? Because this mindset is not only anti-recovery, but anti-science!
Here's a personal example we came across recently. I know we've talked about it in the past, but we recently experienced a fusion between two parts. These two alters, Alice and Ashley, had been dating for a long time. At one point a couple months ago, we realized that they'd been talking about fusing. They told us about it briefly, said they'd been considering it for several months and then one day ... they did. This was an intentional choice and one that seems to have really helped them (a single alter now called Allison) and she is just so much happier now.
Well we had someone come in and say that you couldn't choose to fuse. That it's not a choice, it happens spontaneously and out of a System's control. Well my example is pretty cut-and-dry, no? But because I was unable to find them documentation about this one very niche, very personal experience, they insisted I was wrong and misinterpreting what happened. And this is BY FAR not the only example recently. I've been seeing so much bullshit recently about denying people's personal and subjective experiences just because there's no scientific evidence that it's possible.
So let's discuss why this isn't ok (beyond just insufferable rudeness)! I am a life-long neuroscience student. I am studying the brain on a very intense basis and eventually will be pursuing a PhD for it. I've been studying for years! And the one thing I know beyond ANY uncertainty is that we will never, ever know everything there is to know about the human brain. It's absolutely impossible. And that's the thing! This is why science is so important and why there's so much push for STEM students! Because the human race (and alterhumans) will never, ever be able to discover everything this universe has to offer but by god we'll try! We're a very curious species.
This is known and understood in science. We as people and the universe as a whole are ever-expanding and evolving. To think there is documentation on every single experience to be had (especially when it comes to the subjective human experience!) is not only completely misunderstanding the point of documenting science and experience, but completely ignorant on how science works and why it's so important we focus on it.
People will ALWAYS have experiences that will never be documented. That's just how it works! Like for fuck's sake, one of my blood clotting factors is THREE TIMES what it should be and we have NO idea why or what the consequences are because the only science we have about that factor is what happens when it's LOW.
And then there are the things that are only documented after someone tells another about it! Do you think that POTS or autism never existed just because someone had never studied it previously? Do you think it just started popping up because someone studied that first patient? Isn't that a silly thing to think? Don't you think we'd never document any bad experience if it meant that these experiences weren't real until someone wrote about it?
So yeah, sometimes people ARE misinterpreting what happened. We're only human after all and so very prone to making mistakes and applying our own experiences to the unknown in an attempt to make sense of it. But the shit I'm seeing in syscourse right now is telling people that very possible, personal and subjective things can't possibly be happening to them because there's no scientific literature about it (yet!).
Stop it. Stop telling people that what they're experiencing isn't real. Come to terms with the fact that there are some things that will never be professionally documented and then learn to deal with it. Stop telling people their experiences didn't happen just because they didn't comb through the internet and find documentation to prove it to some random tumblerite who probably hasn't taken anything more than basic science classes.
#syscourse#sysconversation#syscussion#science#STEM#neuroscience#anyone saying something can't exist because there's no documentation should be immediately discredited because that's not how science works#did osdd#dissociative system#cdd system#complex dissociative disorders#dissociative identity disorder#otherwise specified dissociative disorder#pdid#unspecified dissociative disorder#sysblr

ATTENTION PLURALS! Whether you have DID, OSDD, UDD, or some other form of plurality, this could be extremely helpful for you!
Our mother has created and put for sale discreet plurality journals! These journals include spaces to write information about system members, important information (contacts, family, friends, partners, etc), system rules, pages to keep track of physical/mental health (diagnoses, suspected conditions, symptoms, triggers, etc), a built-in calender to mark and keep track of things, a section to keep track of switching, a mental health journal, and a section for general journaling shenanigans!
Note that it is queer friendly, including a segment for pronouns in each member's bios/the bios of loved ones, as well as not monogamous assuming in language or nature.
Here are the links to them, and the three cover options available to pick from! (Frog cover, flower cover, and owl cover.)
Here are some example pages (minus the mental health journal and regular journal pages, both of which are at the end, and have 100+ pages.) Most of these pages have multiple copies, so there is plenty of room! For example, the "our switches" section has 50 pages.
Order to support our mom (and in turn, our family) as well as get something that can help your system! Please reblog for more systems to see!

For Any System That Needs To Hear It
You aren't faking it because you have a large alter count
You aren't faking it because you have a small alter count
You're not faking it because you have a large innerworld
You're not faking it because you have no innerworld
It doesn't matter if you have 2 alters or 20,000 alters, if you have an infinite innerworld or a small/no innerworld. You're still a system
You're not faking it because you have a lot of introjects
You're not faking it because you don't have any introjects
You're not faking it because you have a lot of nonhuman alters
You're not faking it because you have no nonhuman alters
You're not faking it because you have a lot of child parts
You're not faking it because you have no child parts
It doesn't matter what types of alters you have or don't have, all systems are different
You're not faking it because you're young
You're not faking it because you didn't know till you were older
You're not faking it because you're self-diagnosed
Your diagnosis status doesn't matter, and when you figured it out certainly doesn't. Some systems figure it out at 13, while some only figure out when they get diagnosed, everyone is different

The ableism in the DID/OSDD community is insane.
I have polyfragmented DID. I split extremely easily and have been going through some hard times over the past few years. In total, we are a collective of 64 alters.
This was a comment made on a post where I talked about my experience as a majority traumagenic system, with a few willogenic alters.
[ID: a screenshot of a tumblr comment, the pfp and username of the commenter is blacked out, along with the username of the person they were replying to. The comment reads "Okay, they're actually awful now that I check, and probably fakeclaiming (47 alters? Forget that bro) But you're also awful. I'm traumagenic, but I'm not ableist enough to exclude endogenics because the research is lax. You're both awful." /end ID]
It's naïve of me to expect that there will be no fake-claimers in the community, but the reality is that there really shouldn't be any. No use comes from infighting. Fake-claiming systems with a higher alter count, as a system yourself, is why people shy away from the online DID/OSDD community.
Stop being ableist, it's not cute.

Shittiness aside, there's something beautiful in OSDDID I think.
Like, I helped us survive. I'm here because I'm needed. My existence makes our life a little less miserable. And I think that's beautiful.
Everyone who needs to hear this: You formed for a reason. Your existence is helping your fellow headmates. You're rad as fuck :3

tw abuse
our relationship with computers is very emotional and spiritual. growing up we couldn't trust our memory (although we couldn't completely understand that at the time), but our computers were always something we could trust. our history was always there. files don't go missing (unlike our brain lol). if our abuser did something to us, at least we'd have our computers after that was over (unless they took that too, then all hell broke loose, if we could even put up a fight). near infinite internet access wasn't always the best, but at the very least it was a necessary escape that kept us alive. nowadays we're free from our abuser, and have moved on to work in tech. whenever we get another computer from a client that they've decided to abandon, whether its an old phone, a laptop, whatever; we are filled with joy whenever we get it roaring back to life.
they saved ours, they deserve to have theirs saved too. we believe computers go to heaven.
