BEHOLD my designs for Fred and Arch! And if you didn’t see my first Fred post my design for Krystal as well!
Once I heard this audio I couldn’t help but put these characters over it because they just fit so well 😭😂

(Unseen Academicals, Terry Pratchett) I think Shang Qinghua and Ponder Stibbons should have tea and compare notes about somehow accumulating so much behind-the-scenes power by doing menial jobs no one else wants that they could basically run the show if they wanted...
meanwhile we have Shen "meh good enough" Qingqiu

Rhysand stans:"nobody wants to talk about how Rhysand is a SA Victim"
Girl, I see constantly posts/tiktoks/content about how Rhysand is a SA Victim and 99% of the comments are always super supportive, but every time a Nesta post is made about how she was SA'd by the Kelpie and/or Thomas there are always some Nesta antis in the comments being like "her trauma, doesn't absolve her of being a horrible sister!!!!" even though the post has nothing to do with feyre
or than god forbid people point out that feyre is a Victim of SA in the hands of Rhysand all hell breaks loose, and instead of acknowledging what rhysand did was SA , most of the fandom is out here trying to justify it with the same old tired phrase of "he did it to protect her" or even worse out right denying it by being like "rhysand touching feyre's waist, arms, making her sit on his lap and kissing her against her will isn't SA because only certain circumstances need to occur for it to be classified as SA"
Don't even get me started on the people who believe that gwyn faked her SA and is secretly an evil lightsinger
And the one who rarely gets any recognition of being a SA Victim (besides from his fans) is Lucien. I saw a handful of posts/tiktoks from lucien fans that bring this topic up but those are not nearly as popular as Rhysand's posts and where are almost always some people in the comments of lucien's posts who are asking "when did he get SA'd?"
The majority of the fandom always talks about Rhysand being a SA Victim

Feyre: I left instructions for everyone while I'm gone.
Cassian: Mine just says "Cass, no."

The Three Railway Engines, beginning of final story:
Edward and Gordon often went through the tunnel where Henry was shut up. Edward would say, "Peep, peep - hullo!" and Gordon would say, "Poop, poop, poop! Serves you right!"
Main Line Engines, beginning of final story:
Edward scolded the twins severely, but told Gordon it served him right. Gordon was furious.

Nevermoor is such a masterpiece, Im near the end of Hollowpox and it is so amazing! The characters are well written, the plot is perfect, and the cursed child thing is pretty unique! I love the series, it is ridiculously underrated tho :(

How to Train Your Dragon: the Book Series
first off, a pinned post:
hi! you can call me rain, and i'm here to talk about the *book series* of How to Train Your Dragon.
this is NOT an account to hate on the movies. the first movie was one of my childhood favorites and i still love the soundtrack.
but you know what is also good? you know what has intricate plots and great characters and excellent, profound themes and messages, and is really another thing entirely? the books. (I'll make a post - probably multiple posts - about the differences, but really they should just be considered separate things at this point.) There's 12 books and they tell a wonderful story and I love them, and I think more people should read them. and that's why i'm here today

I suggest any person who has finished the entire Three-Body Problem series to listen to this song from the final season of the radio drama:
youtube
Some of the lyrics take from the song Singer (歌者) sang in Death's End, hence the title being Singer! There are additions which coincide with plot points in the book as well, which are the last two verses. After listening to this, I think it makes the passage with Singer more impactful with an aural reference for the song!

I love how while he is in denial in both Aziraphale is on different levels of denial in the books versus in the series.
My first realization of that was in how they talk about Heaven's punishment. In the series Aziraphale is always talking about mean letters and reprimands and he never questions Crowley's small coments implying Hell is way worse. Now I don't think they are true, it's just different kinds of abuse. But in the series there's an opening for the doubt if they are or if it's just a question of perception.
In the book they aren't even different forms of abuse. We might not see heaven or hell or how their meetings go (emotional abuse versus violent threats mostly) but Aziraphale himself says heaven's punishment will be very similar to hell's not only that but when Crowley implies he is getting worse because heaven has ineffable mercy Azi just goes "Did you ever visit Gomorrah?" like a mad lad. And like it's wild because Aziraphale straight up says heaven does torture and is basically going "bitch please, we are both fucked" but than just after that Aziraphale is back to talking about how great and good heaven is and holy shit the whiplash.
Now while I love both versions of this concept a lot. I'll admit that the book one wins for no other reason but the fact that Crowley does not connect the dots between Aziraphale's coment and his previous "heaven is mercifull I'm actually the one fucked" coment and actually answers that yes, he went to Gomorrah once because they had a bar who had some cocktails he really enjoyed. This dumbass actually needs Aziraphale to look at him unimpressed and say "After" to connect the dots and I love it for him.

i'm rereading the httyd books bc i convinced one of the book club groups in my second period to use the first one as their book club book... anyways, i'm fifty pages into the seventh one, which is the book where my memory starts getting the most foggy (the last time i reread the series, it was like... 2021? 2022? i think spring 2021 maybe? anyways, i got like a third of the way through the seventh before finals and such and then worked a rigorous job over the summer and then had my class schedule from hell, so while i remember the general premise of the seventh-the end, i don't remember it like i remember books one-six and i am. i know this is where it starts to get ANGSTY beyond belief and i am SO EXCITED
