One of the Elders dying would definitely be a big game changer. Actually, probably too big of a one for this book, but definitely a big possibility in the future. Jupiter, Jack, Unit 919 member or a member of the hotel staff are all definitely safe from this murder mystery since this story is (thankfully) focused a lot on the found family. Corvus is only safe on the technicality that the murder is happening inside Nevermoor. Although I can see him getting murdered by Wintersea in the future if Morrigan pisses her off. Ezra and Wintersea are definitely not dying here. They are too important for that. But one or both of them will definitely be dead by the end of the series. Unfortunately we will have to deal with Baz. Jess said that we wont find out about his knack in this book which means he will show uo in future books. A Wunsoc member is a definite possibility, but the most likely one is a new character. Probably an established dragonrider or a member of Silver District. Dragonrider since we will be finding more about the Dragonriding World and because of the emojis Jess shared. A person from the Silver District because we will be spending some time there.

The halls are a very interesting piece of architecture and wundersmith lore I hope we find out more about.

From what we know the halls appear whenever a wundersmith dies or turns 100 years old. However, I theories that that is not the only requirement for the halls to appear. I think that they also have to master the wundrous arts. Why? Because Morrigan explored the halls and found that the longest one ended with Odbuoy Jemmity's hall (now it is possible that she actually didn't explore all of the halls), but the bigger part is because of the Cursed Children. If any Cursed Child that was born a wundersmith died and gained a hall I'm sure that there would have been a mention of it in Hollowpox. Why? Because more halls appearing after supposed death of every wundersmith except Squall would raise some questions. As for the hall's purpose it's probably a reward?? You know for mastering the Wundrous Arts. It's probably decorated with something that distinguished the wundersmith from the other wundersmiths. Something personal. The Squall hall 99.99% exists, but I don't think that the lessons would be held there simply because of how many unwanted questions it would raise with the Basement Nerds. As for what it would have in it? Probably some cool shadow murals or something.

okay when a wundersmith turns 100 years old, they get a hall in the school of wundrous arts, right? so logically; the squall hall.

besides the puns, do you think that’s where the lessons will take place? and what would it have in it? what purposes do the halls even serve? do they just spawn in with stuff in them or is it decorated by the wundersmith? and if a wundersmith doesn’t live until 100, do they still get a hall on the day they would’ve been 100? that would be so sad for the people who knew them.

you know what i think kids/teen books do 'fantasy romance/fantasy books' way better than any of the adult fantasy books booktok raves about. i try and read some of them and 90 percent of the time its just smut and abusive relationships disguised as 'dark romance'. then i read books like Keeper Of The Lost Cities, The School for Good and Evil, Percy Jackson, Land of Stories, the Nevermoor series, that kind of thing, and they are all actually so amazing because they have fleshed out characters with flaws and an engaging plotline instead of just badly written romance. and when they do have romance it's well written and about the people rather than the tropes.

so squall being mistaken for a ghost in the first book because people caught glimpses of him and heard him humming in the deucalion when he was visiting on the gossamer leaves two possibilities, since we know he can only be heard or seen when he's on the gossamer if he wants to be

he forgot himself while looking around / spying on morrigan, accidentally let himself be spotted or heard for a second before realizing he had to bail

he was doing it on purpose to fuck with people

i prefer door #2, partially because it's funnier, partially because i don't think he'd be careless enough to be seen by accident, and partially because... i mean look, if you can't actually physically interact with anything around you, you gotta do something to entertain yourself.

That Starry Night Sky could mean so many things!

It could be connected to the Skyfaced Clock. It's possible that it symbolizes that Mog's lessons with Squall will be held at nighttime. Or we maybe it's telling us that the story begins the night of the Black Parade.

Thinking about how the second Neverfour emoji is a starry night sky… and the Silverborn cover background is pretty distinctly a starry night sky….. here's how my Celestial theories can still win!
