Do you know where I could find all the Silverborn snippets?
Here you go! Below the cut are all the snippets so far. If they’ve been transcribed I’ll link to those posts, and if any pop up for snippets that don’t have IDs yet, please send them my way and I’ll just add them here.
All of these have been shared through Jessica’s Instagram story (with the last one being not quite purposeful, oops lol)
The Feast:

Fun fact: After this was shared I asked for a hint on what the redacted word is, and Jess said it was a surname that we haven’t seen so far!
The Play: [ID]

New Silverborn Snippet
The parade was halted in its tracks as people swarmed through the barriers and into the empty street in front of them, a choreographed stream coming from every direction to block their path. Without even thinking about it, Morrigan Cadence, Hawthorne, Thaddea, and Lam stepped in front of the younger members of Unit 920, and the others followed in less than a heartbeat.
‘SEND HER BACK! SEND HER BACK! SEND HER BACK!’ The familiar voice of Laurent St James, founder of the Concerned Citizens of Nevermoor Party, campaigner against Wunimal rights, loud owner of terrible opinions, and most notably, in the words of Jupiter North, ‘some rich idiot’ – boomed unpleasantly from his beloved megaphone.
‘Ugh, not this guy again. Hasn’t he shouted about you enough for one lifetime?’ Cadence muttered to Morrigan. ‘Take a day off, mate.’
‘The Concerned Citizens of Nevermoor say “NEVER MORE!”’ shouted St James. ‘Never more will we allow our city to be controlled by a maker of monsters, by a wolf in sheep’s clothing, by a too-powerful, too-dangerous, megalomaniacal despot!’
‘Is he talking about me?’ Hawthorne said quietly, grinning as he lifted the sleeve of his cloak to reveal his werewolf costume again. ‘How rude.’
Morrigan almost laughed, but not quite.
‘Never more will we allow our citizens to be put at risk! The Wundrous Society has smuggled in a WUNDERSMITH from the WINTERSEA REPUBLIC, our ENEMY NATION! We must rise as one and say NEVER MORE! Never more will we allow them to do as they please, running their wild schemes on the taxpayer’s coin and putting our children in danger!’ He paused, picking up a small child beside him and lifting her onto his shoulders. ‘We must rise up and DEMAND that they SEND HER BACK!’
Then he handed the megaphone up to the little girl, whose tiny voice grew monstrous as she shrieked, ‘SEND HER BACK! SEND HER BACK! SEND HER BACK!’
Morrigan felt she might vomit. She turned in a circle but there was nowhere to go. She was surrounded by so-called Concerned Citizens holding signs with slogans like MONSTERS WELCOME NEVER MORE! and HEY WINTERSEA, WE DON’T WANT YOUR WUNDERSMITH! Though they’d grown since she’d last seen them, still they numbered only a hundred, maybe two. But there were thousands of Nevermoorians lining Lightwing Parade, and even some of them took up the chant. Unit 919 closed around her.
‘DO SOMETHING, you fool!’ came a sharp shout. Morrigan turned to the sound of the voice and saw a familiar pale face in the crowd, twisted with disgust. Her fingertips tingled with gathering Wunder. He was right, she ought to do something, she had to do something–
‘MOOOOOGGGGGG! MOG, I’M COMING!’ The sea of black cloaks parted to let Jupiter through, still holding his candle aloft. He launched himself to the front of the parade, blazing with righteous anger, shouting, ‘How dare you!’
And Laurent St James put the child back on the ground, squaring up to Jupiter and bellowing, ‘SEND HER BACK, SEND HER BACK!’ right into his face.
Several things happened at once. Unbalanced, Jupiter dropped his nightbeacon candle. It rolled into the crowd of Concerned Citizens, still alight. The little girl reached down to pick it up and time slowed to a crawl and Morrigan felt every drop of water in her body turn to ice. She wanted to shout a warning but the words stuck in her throat, so she ran for the candle instead, fingers tingling as she grabbed it just in time, and– They were everywhere. Everywhere. There was no Wundrous defence against this. No way of unseeing it. The artists were all wrong, they were too gentle. They lied. The misery they’d painted wasn’t big enough, it wasn’t hard enough, it wasn’t frightening, or painful, or ghastly enough. The Unresting wore their guilt on the outside like chains. Like thick vines creeping around their hands and feet, wrapped around their necks, forever twisting, tightening, squeezing. The nightbeacon didn’t just let Morrigan see them, it let her hear them too. And that was worse. It was so much worse, it was unbearable. No rest, they sang without words. No rest. Morrigan wanted to weep. She wanted to run. She could hear words beneath the wailing, could hear her name spoken in familiar panicked voices, but they felt so far away, and all she could see was the Unresting. A ghoulish woman advanced on her, mouth open in a silent scream, reaching out with pale, grasping hands through a tangle of vines, ‘GET AWAY FROM ME!’ Before the words even left her mouth, Morrigan regretted them. A sea of faces turned towards her, black-socket eyes and gaping maws, growing wide with horror or hunger. She’d broken the rules. She’d noticed the Unresting. And they’d noticed her right back.

I’m also curious about people’s thoughts on this. I too am suffering from the American release date being practically two months after the initial release. While I don’t want to see spoilers I know from experience from Hollowpox that I will be peeking at the Silverborn channel in the discord like this 🫣🫣🫣 anyways LOL.
I made a private “Silverborn Spoilers” community with the new feature (that I don’t understand at all) because I was thinking that could be a good way try and keep stuff contained, because just relying on muting tags isn’t always reliable….. and because I am always tempted to click on the hidden posts 😅. The only issue though is that you can’t reblog from communities nor can you make a private one public? But Silverborn is a year away, so maybe it would change by then. 🤷
For context, this is a Nevermoor fandom poll on whether or not you're ok with spoilers from people in the fandom who have read Silverborn once it comes out. Please put your thoughts down below, I'd love to hear them!
My thoughts under the cut:
Personally, I made this poll because I'm a bit conflicted over whether or not I want to see spoilers before I read Silverborn, once it comes out (I live in the US, so I definitely won't get it first). On one hand, I'd love to have an unspoiled (besides snippets and things) read of Silverborn, so I can experience all of the twists firsthand. But on the other hand, I also want to experience all of the fanart, fanfics, analyses, and commentaries in real time, I don't want to miss anything!
Again, please reblog and share your thoughts!

Spoilers for book two of the Nevermoor series
So Silverborn comes out in 2025, so I went back and reread all of the previous Nevermoor books to prepare for it; and a couple of things really stood out on reread.
One quote in particular from the second book really caught my attention for a couple of reasons. It’s a bit of Morrigan’s internal monologue where she’s reflecting on her slightly cynical view of life and how she’s thought like that since being raised as a cursed child in Jacklfax. The quote reads “asking her not to expect the worst was like asking Hawthorne not to get excited about dragons, or Jupiter not to be ginger.”
This kind of internal monologue is disturbing in its implications of the way Morrigan views herself, while also being incredibly accurate. Morrigan’s anxiety and low self-esteem were drilled into her at such a young age that she is simply incapable of remembering a time before them and thinks of them as a part of herself just as much as hair color or special interests. I wasn’t quite sure what stood out to me about this line until I realized that this was the exact same way I thought about my anxiety and low self-esteem as a child. This continues throughout the series as well, particularly book two, and can be seen in both obvious ways, such as her absolute terror of her unit turning against her and being cast out again after the first blackmail note appears, and in more subtle ways as well, such as her complete lack of surprise at how brutal and uncaring Wunderous Society adults are towards students, or her complete lack of resistance to Onstald telling her she’s evil simply because of who she is. She’s already predisposed to her environment being like this, so she barely gives it a second thought until an outside party points out how wrong it is. She’s clearly incredibly stressed out, but even what she can tell Jupiter, she doesn’t say anything about in order not to pile on to his workload with her problems.
In conclusion the Nevermoor series by Jessica Townsend is a great series go read it. I’m going to go cry now.

This spring is such a peak for me not gonna lie
First, new Hunger Games content technically NEXT WEEK
Second, my very current obsession and the most recent reason why I'm insufferable, Doctor Who, is getting a new season (and this time I'm convinced it's going to be a full 13 episodes)
Third, the world of the Finnish concert culture is now open to me as I'm legally allowed to enter a bar to attend a concert
And fourth, finally, FI-NAL-LY, a new Nevermoor book and content after five years I think (although I do have to wait till like December to get it translated to match my first three)
And the fact that this is the order these things will happen so I won't miss all of the THG and DW content because I'm inactive to avoid spoilers for Silverborn

Sometimes, I wonder about the other bids mog got. who is mrs. Ardith Asher? Where is the Devereaux Ladies College? How about Colonel Van Leeuwenhoek and the Harmon Military Academy? Some questions just need to be answered.

@@the-wundrous-society, a Nevermoor community through the new community feature is now able to be joined. Could maybe serve as a more central place to discuss Nevermoor stuff without wading through the tags? 🤷 As far as I know you can’t join with sideblogs yet, but that’s planned for the future.

Since Morrigan’s gonna be Squall’s apprentice, I think it’d be amazing if Hawthorne met him. Like, one of the first times we hear about wundersmiths he‘s terrified. And Morrigan isn’t anymore, and that dynamic would be fascinating. Hawthorne is usually the one guiding them, and he wouldn’t be.

HOLLOWPOX SPOILERS!!!
okay but seriously.how is Mog going to hide Squall’s apprenticeship from Jupiter. He’s a witness so he’ll definetely look at Mog with his knack and see what she did.
I have a theory that maybe with the use of wunder,Mog can somehow use it to hide such things from witnesses maybe? It’s a work in progress but
Or maybe she’s not even gonna try to hide it from him.Maybe she tells him immediately or he figures it out like that.I doubt it tho because i don’t feel like it’s gonna happen that early in the book but i guess we’ll see.

if we're talkng about the silverborn exerpt about the (spoiler warning) people/person covering up for Morrigan's social awkwardness (mood), then is it really guarenteed to be a surname?
Hi I couldn’t sleep last night so I was brainstorming the next part of silverborn that Jess revealed.
semi hollowpox spoilers under the cut ig
The name that was covered up was a surname, but not one we have seen before.
for the Deucalion this leaves fenestra (although, she’s a cat. She may not have a surname), Martha, and frank.
for wunsoc his leaves (generally the whole society, but whatever,) some of the basement nerds, Sofia for example, and rook.
given the oddness of the “ritual”, I have a feeling it would be frank, rook (although, her family would be Dearborn and murgatroyd), and perhaps Sofia.
this does not make sense, I got nowhere, god help me
