We all talk about how Sirius and James sneaked into each other's beds to talk about random stuff at night. And how close they were because of it.

But I like to believe that Remus and Peter talked as well, when they bumped into each other on the way to the loo and the way back to bed and one of them noticed the other sad or melancholic.

It wasn't as frequent and common as Sirius and James, the bffs, but they got closer because of these late night talks.

Peter trusted Remus with many things, especially about his insecurities and fears, because Remus felt them as well. And Remus told Peter not to compare himself to Sirius or James. To love himself more.

And Peter was like: "You are very special and worth it as well, Moony. Don't forget about it"

It was mainly them complimenting and cheering each other up.

i'm rereading the httyd books bc i convinced one of the book club groups in my second period to use the first one as their book club book... anyways, i'm fifty pages into the seventh one, which is the book where my memory starts getting the most foggy (the last time i reread the series, it was like... 2021? 2022? i think spring 2021 maybe? anyways, i got like a third of the way through the seventh before finals and such and then worked a rigorous job over the summer and then had my class schedule from hell, so while i remember the general premise of the seventh-the end, i don't remember it like i remember books one-six and i am. i know this is where it starts to get ANGSTY beyond belief and i am SO EXCITED
