just thinking about that study I read awhile back that said humans sleep much better when near another person. Imagine Harry having a nightmare, so Severus comes in after hearing him scream, and he wakes him up and comforts him for awhile. Severus gets tired of standing so he sits down to hug Harry and Harry falls asleep on him, so he just lays down with him cuddled up to his chest with Severus' arms wrapped around him and then he ends up falling asleep as well

then they both wake up wondering why that was the best sleep they've had in years 😭
