Remember when in the Sinner's Pit Hua Cheng fought Ke Mo while holding Xie Lian, and he was all "you should put me down, I can't imagine you enjoy fighting someone with another man in your arms" but Hua Cheng kept doing that, because he did, in fact, enjoy it?

I absolutely love the idea of MXTX guys in red having to be strict parents. It’s not something they thought they’d be doing. They thought they’d be the fun parent but who knew their spouses in white are just too indulgent towards their children, never able to say no.

SQQ grew up as the third son of wealthy parents. He doesn’t know what moderation is. He had a hand in raising his Qing Jing children and look at them, all of them were brats. Brats who could do no wrong in SQQ’s eyes.

LWJ grew up in a restricted sect, never able to indulge in anything lest the elders punish him by denying him a visit to his mother. How could he do the same to his child? His child who is his WWX’s child too. How could he say no to their whims? Why would he say no?

As the pampered prince of Xian Le, XL had everything. Then he had nothing. He knew both sides of the spectrum. While he won’t let their child be bratty like he was, but he still let HC be the strict parent. HC looked hot like that too so more’s the bonus for him.

Au where hualian are married before the events of book one except Xie Lian doesn’t remember. Hua Cheng still can’t find him for 800 years or so. The entire story happens, except the big reveal in the cave of ten thousand gods is instead that they’re married/were already in love long before this

hey headcanon that hua cheng is generfluid btw. that line in the beginning of the book talking about how they have no clue what his true form is cause he shapeshifts so often ?? and one of them was a seductress ??? yeah xie lian just comes home to see his husband is instead his WIFE and she is PRETTY and he LOVES HER ALL THE SAME and sometimes the city calls him LADY CHENGZHU or MONARCH
