i’ll still use it for news regarding fandom stuff (eg: mimi drama cd, official merch, tgcf donghua updates) but i’m not posting my art there anymore after hearing about the new feature that allows anyone to use grok on an image you’ve uploaded.

Even if this is untrue or gets rescinded, more and more things keep getting changed or added that are making the site worser for artists. you can’t even post links anymore without your visibility getting nuked which pretty much makes my being there useless if i want to sell my art or products or even post fic 🤷‍♀️

i originally made my danmei side acc there for the sangcheng nation that was somewhat alive at the time, but it’s nonexistent now and most of my mutuals have already migrated to bsky. Honestly, twt was never my favorite platform to begin with even before the billionaire Nazi took over.

ummm i love modern aus bc they usually mean jc doesn’t suffer as much lol and i just want him to have a break sometimes. I love the ones where he’s an instructor of some kind and nhs signs up for his classes in order to seduce him 😙

but of course, the post canon sangcheng reconciliation angst fests are some of my favourite ones too ❤️‍🩹

but i also love post canon fics where they’re married and live in LP with a bunch of kids and dogs 🥰🥰🥰

Who do you send as top and bottom in 3zun? (And its variations)

in general i prefer:

LXC: Switch

JGY: Top

NMJ: Bottom

so for 3zun i prefer switch!lxc + top!jgy + bottom!nmj but i can still read stuff where jgy bottoms and lxc + nmj tops (which is most common from what i’ve seen) or other variations

Then for nieyao/xiyao i also prefer jgy to top and the others bottom but i don’t mind reading fic with the roles reversed. and honestly most people tend to make jgy a bottom; he just gives me top energy tho personally

for nielan i prefer top!lxc + bottom!nmj but i am also okay with them as switches, and i won’t necessarily avoid bottom!lxc + top!nmj but it’s a bit meh for me tbh 🙍

overall i’m pretty lax with the roles for 3zun tho which makes it much easier when reading fic lol

when it comes to nhs i usually exit out of fics if it has top!nhs bc i can’t fw it at allllll it just feels so ooc to me personally 😅

What is your opinion on Cql/The untamed? (since I'm already here, what is your opinion on ChengQing/Wen qing x Jiang Cheng?)

mmm honestly i don’t really care much abt cql and i think it’s a little overhyped. After I read the novel i wasn’t even planning on watching it at all tbh but then I ended up watching it with my friend. I think it’s one of those things where if it’s your first introduction to a story then you’d probably enjoy it, but if you read the novel/manhua or watched the donghua first it might be harder to get into.

imo the casting was great for some characters but then absolutely horrible for others. And the wigs…

i give them props for making dage a crybaby tho, that was an intelligent move on their part lmao

as for chengqing…i don’t ship it but i think it has potential and i think it’s addition elevated the drama and made it more bearable. i personally like them more as supportive friends bc of the parallels in their respective losses (WQ lost her didi, JC lost his jiejie) I can see JC liking her, though I don’t see WQ liking him back.

What is your opinion about Su She/Minshan ?

tbh i don’t think about Su She very often but I’m pretty neutral about him! I like that he was so loyal to JGY, and that he showed normal human traits with his resentment towards jin zixun/lwj/those who look down on others condescendingly. He’s probably one of the most Normal characters in the novel lol

and JGY’s reaction to his death had me feeling 😢

alright. So.

there are a looooot of routes one can take with this. so many. and i’m not sure i can choose a favourite amongst them, but i will say that i enjoy the ones that are packed full of angst and hurt/comfort because sangcheng shines the brightest when they are both miserably sopping wet and find unexpected comfort in one another (bc they are the only two ppl that can understand what the other went thru) 🤌

in most cases, it’s either JC or NHS finally reaching out to the other after GY temple.

While I personally find it less likely for JC to reach out to NHS first, (because he’s not really the type of person to do that sort of thing) the aftermath of GY temple shows a notable upset in his behaviour that will probably leave him in a state of heavy contemplation for a long while. So it is possible he would reconsider his approach to life and seek out an old flame, especially if he and NHS were a Thing during the short period of time after the 1st siege of BM but before NMJ passed, and NHS had been the one to pull away first due to his brother’s death.

As for NHS, the most commonly used idea i’ve seen is where he’s finally accomplished his revenge and now has the actual opportunity and time to go and win JC back. So he’s incredibly pushy and enthusiastic in his approaches whether (covert or overt) and JC is resistant until he Isn’t. Or JC will keep pushing him away until NHS eventually goes “okay i understand i won’t bother u anymore” and dumbass JC will be like “🧍no wait.”

Additionally, I’ve seen NHs often portrayed as lost and lonely after GY temple and seeks out JC—who is ever the straightforward, unrelenting man—for guidance, eventually staying at LP for a spell and becoming attached to JC. Now this I don’t fully agree with unless it takes place long after, because NHS is shown to be very satisfied with himself immediately after obtaining his vengeance, and competent at leading his men during the burial of his brother. So only once that initial high of achieving his goals wears off (bc as we have seen in the novel, there’s a reoccurring theme that seeking revenge ≠ good ending) and NHS begins to feel empty would I consider this route viable.

We can also use confrontation as a means of reintroducing sangcheng post canon. It’s possible JC had overheard or will later find out about WWX’s conjectures regarding NHS’s involvement in JGY’s demise at GY temple. If we are to take these conjectures as fact, then it adds yet another layer of angst for our beloved sangcheng to navigate. JC angrily confronting NHS afterwards can facilitate the start of their reconciliation. However, for this route to work, NHS must have been attempting to thwart JL from entering Yi City with the dead cats rather than luring him there along with the other juniors (bc this event can be interpreted either way), or JC must have already slept with him at one point during post Sunshot or CR era. Reason I’m saying this is because JL is the most important person to JC, so if NHS had actually tried to kill him then in all likelihood JC is just going to kill NHS or write him off and be done with it. But if they had slept together, then in the same way JC could not bring himself to hate WWX even after he had a hand in getting JYL killed, I don’t think he’d be able to fully hate NHS either. Now this is fully my own personal hc, but I really see JC as the type to imprint on people, and the intimacy that can come with sleeping together is the perfect catalyst for that. He’s not going to sleep with just anyone—he’s going to sleep with someone that means something to him. And once he has, that person will permanently leave a mark on him (I am not shy about reusing this concept in my fics lmao). So now we have a conflicted JC that wants to rage at NHS but cannot bring himself to physically hurt him at the same time and doesn’t that remind you of someone else? oh-ho! how delicious this soup is. 🤌🤌🤌

So we’ve established that one party reaching out or confronting the other are the most effective ways to reintroduce sangcheng post canon, but what if they just. Don’t do that. What if neither of them wants to see the other or speak to the other again? Ah, see now we have something a little more meatier and juicer to chew on.

Sangcheng want to remain estranged, but what if they are forced into proximity with one another, whether it be due to cultivation conferences, or more evil beings manifesting in the MDZS world inciting chaos or conflict? WWX elopes with LWJ post canon, but now we have NHS as another piece of JC’s past to replace him. Being around someone that you once shared something special with but no longer recognizing them as as they once were after all that happened…do you see the potential here? Neither of them reach out, but neither of them can look away either. The want is there, the need is there. And as we are all well aware, JC is a man that wears his entire heart on his sleeve. He literally cannot hide his emotions. NHS is the opposite. This will undoubtedly lead to conflict, and more importantly, connection.

JC becoming frustrated, “why are you acting like nothing ever happened between us?” and NHS, “I don’t know what it means to love anymore. I don’t even know who I am anymore. we’re not the same people we once were. just forget about me, Jiang-zongzhu.”

JC, “if you want me to forget about you then stop casting looks my way. stop making it harder.”

This could very likely end with a rump in the sheets, which would only further exacerbate the situation and make it nigh impossible for Sangcheng to get over each other. They’ve diseased each other. They’re addicted to each other. And resistance is futile, whether it takes months or years.

On a completely different note, there’s even the possibility of Sangcheng becoming a thing Post Canon even without having a relationship or feelings for one another during the main story. Sort of a realization moment where they just randomly look at one another one day and realize, “Ah. you are just like me, aren’t you?”

In conclusion, the possibilities for post canon sangcheng are absolutely endless.

And sangcheng has rotted my brain.

What do you think of the Yi Village arc (and its characters)?

it seems like a lot of the fandom disliked the Yi City arc but i actually enjoyed it on my first read through. it was so painful and concludes in such a bittersweet way…😮‍💨 but that’s what i like about mxtx’s writing, she doesn’t pull her punches lmaoooo

Though i think because everything ended the way it did, i don’t think about XXC, SL, XY, or A-Qing very often, even if I enjoyed their parts in the story. I like all of them though!

WX for obvious reasons involving harassment and HL because for some reason a lot of them can be really pretentious. They get mad if you don’t ship the canon CP but still read tgcf. it’s perfectly normal to read a book even if you don’t like the CP though, i’ve done that plenty of times if the story is engaging. There’s also that whole “our ship is better bc there’s no kinky sex” thing they tend to do. Oh and apparently they also have the thing where they attack people for switching the gong and shou roles :/
