I wanted to share my experience with system communication as a system who maladaptively daydreams. I'm unsure if any other systems share our experience with this or idk maybe it's a sign that we're faking or are wrong about having a CDD.
We really struggle with internal communication (communication in general but this is a bit different) like talking to eachover inside our head, we do have an inner voice and if there are multiple alters near by there will be multiple voices but conversations between them just do not work.
We maladaptive daydream and it seems that's what's getting in the way of communication. If we're not actively daydreaming about the world's and characters we've created or different scenarios that could happen in the real world we're kinda just monologueing about our every thought, feeling and whatever is going on around us as if we're writing a book or something. some alters even monologue outloud if they're alone.
So let's say that there's two alters co-conscious with another and there's nothing really interesting going on or anything they're really doing the body's just calmly sitting down. In that scenario we're gonna be very compelled to daydream in some way, the two alters trying to talk to eachover are going to struggle remaining focused on talking and blocking out that urge. I don't know about you but our brain just cannot hold a conversation between two alters and some form of daydream at the same time it has to be one of another. And just like how our brain chooses to daydream over sleep, food, hobbies, socialising, work etc. It chooses it over the alter communicating.
So we have to resort to talking to eachover out loud which isn't always an option, or writing down our conversation since the daydream can't interrupt a piece of paper or a screen but even that isn't always possible. I also prefer more physical forms of communication so I know it is an actual alter talking to me and not me just imagining their response if you get what I mean?
Anyone struggle with internal communication for the same reason? Or maybe different reasons? Maybe you have some advice but I'm not sure if anything will actually help

honestly it doesn't bug me that Jerry Seinfeld is bad at acting because the other main cast of Seinfeld are so good, Jerry's acting becomes a joke in and of itself.

I feel like debating who Loki was talking to when he said "For You" in the last episode, is missing the point of the scene. And people referring to it as "cowardly" and a "no-homo" moment is just?? Baffling to me tbh because like;
First of all, it is obviously intended to be to both of them? If they only wanted to make it about Sylvie, Mobius wouldn't be there. If they only wanted to make it about Mobius, Sylvie wouldn't be there. If they wanted to make it about everyone they would've just framed it more equally, he does do it for all his friends ("for all of us"), but they have that scene to highlight these two specific relationships. The framing is quite clear, they have him take a last look at all of his friends before going down the stairs, but Mobius and Sylvie runs after him to have a final significant moment.
Which absolutely makes sense and is consistent with the show we have seen so far, s1 and s2 combined, which is what I love about it. And it was to be honest a surprise! Going into this season, I had little hope for Loki/Mobius interactions, just didn't want to expect too much since S1 had a lot of their connection, but that could've been it. I was shocked when s2ep1 was full to the brim with Loki and Mobius scenes? And then they kept reinforcing every week that they care about each other, is a funny duo to watch, and are important to one another.
And despite this, I expected the rug to at some point be pulled, especially compared to Loki's relationship to Sylvie. No matter people's personal viewing on the show, she is still cited as a love interest by showrunners and is just portrayed as that by the narrative a lot of the time. Sidelining that, even in s2 when the romantic hints are more vague, she's still a very important person in Loki's life. She played a central part of the plot and Loki's own character development of understanding himself.
So to me, I was surprised seeing Mobius and Sylvie side by side in the end. Both being framed as The important people in Loki's life. Then, however you wanna see in what ways they are important is up to you, but they are the people he keeps coming back to for advice and self-reflection. You can frame it as "oh it should've been only been Mobius and they added Sylvie to downplay it", which, I just disagree with (If they wanted to go for explicitly canon Lokius they needed to set that up even more earlier in the season but that's a post for another day). Sylvie is still like, a constant in the narrative and driving force of s1, even if s2 changes things around a bit, and imo it would be inconsistent if she just vanished here. I guess I am used to media that downplays a meaningful dynamic between two dudes in more aggressive ways, which they absolutely could've done, and would've taken me out of the story to be honest... but they didn't, Mobius and Sylvie got to be side by side in the end and that imo validated the Loki/Mobius dynamic way more than downplays it.
TLDR; The "For you" was for both Mobius and Sylvie because why would you frame it that way otherwise, and having them side by side like that validates Lokius way more than downplays it in a "no-homo" way considering the full context of the show.

The thing with stories of any type is that everything is a translation. Sometimes literally, from the author's own head, from another language, from book to TV.
Then there's things like visual metaphors, props and fake backgrounds, set pieces, onomatopoeia, paragraphs of description that everyone will visualise slightly differently, animated contortions, unrealistic but helpful sound effects, camera angles to emphasise mood.
In fantasy or scifi settings you can't even assume they're speaking the language you do. That their culture is exactly what's shown and nothing more.
So much of what makes up good world building is shorthand, is making it work to the audience, is using something in the right context rather than digging up every detail that would make or break the illusion.
A character in a magical world, or even simply a non English speaking country, would not use the same curse words. Leather could be presumed to be cow but could just as easily be any number of bizarre creatures. Booking a hotel could require a very different system to one we're used to. Champagne, the word, wouldn't exist without France but it carries the meaning of expensive alcohol for celebrations and parties, the readers would understand what it means.
Tolkien did it with LOTR and it was a masterpiece. The prevalent themes of dark and light being mere shorthand for expansive good and evil, used to convey the messages it needed rather than entirely new words the readers wouldn't intuit? The characters not even going by their actual names? A whole entire conlang that never even gets mentioned in the actual story??? That's a man who has a grasp on how tightly interconnected the world, history and culture all reflect each other. I mean of course he did, it was his job, but what he did was nothing short of fantastical.
All this to say, I believe this is the root of all world building. Cohesive, well balanced, feasible, detailed-but-not-too-much, no words that'd break a reader's/viewer's immersion, expansive enough, realistic, resonant, coherent, believable. All of it, whether fantastical or realistic, stems from one thing.
Is this a good translation of what you had in your head?

Me (lying to myself): "Of course this isn't just a pointless Twin Peaks reference for the sake of reference, this element has to have an in-universe meaning. This part of the dream is about Viren's wildest desires for control, things Viren himself knows are delusional and foolish. The curtains and the lights are red, symbolising violence or desire. So either Viren fantasies about Opeli stroking his wood or they did have an affair and she had an abortion regardless of Viren's wishes, and he helped her in it, performing the spell himself, because this way would be painless for her and he knew it was best for everyone, but it's still a memory that stays with them both. The writers have obviously thought this through."

thinking of rereading the entirety of HoME again. for my health
#‘for my health’ says the woman who has been struggling so much she’s barely read a book in the last half year lmao#silmarillion#(eh close enough)#tolkien#personal#also because I got so viscerally appalled when someone the other day tried to claim that ‘the second age has a lot less written about it tha#n the first age’ like I beG YOUR PARDON LMAO WHOMST#clearly someone hasn’t read unfinished tales 🙂‍↔️ clearly someone hasn’t read the entirety of HoME 🙂‍↔️#and like obviously idc idc I’m not a completionist truther read as much or as little of a fandom as you want enjoy what you want etc.#but when I went ‘oh there’s actually a lot in unfinished tales and in the home! it’s rly fascinating and fun and some of my favorites have y#ou had a chance to check it out ever?’ this person rly had the audacity to say they’ve ’read some of the unfinished tales’ like hm. somethin#tells me I don’t believe you lmao#I have never once in my life heard someone call. unfinished tales. the book. titled unfinished tales. ‘the unfinished tales’ like lmao what#anyways. it’s okay to admit you haven’t read something babe I was actually gonna recommend a few parts of that book and HoME you might enjoy#but 💋 okay then 💋#also normally I’d give ppl the benefit of the doubt but this person is Like This TM a lot and always has to outdo others & im over it lmao#but also also anyways. I am not immune to the HoME rereleased editions with that gorgeous artwork they are calling me and I am weak to#resist their siren song 😭😂 they’re so beautiful but each set of like 3-4 books (some have 3 some have 4 and the last one also has an index)#are like. over $100 each lmao ripppp.#I do own a few of the HoME but I don’t own all of them and. aaaaaa I need a complete reread#13 yo me 🤝🏻 late 20s yo me : going ‘hmm life is crazy maybe I need to immerse myself in the obscurent most dense Tolkien lore I possibly can#and yknow what. we’re so right. we’re so right#the history of middle earth#unfinished tales#and that conversation. as weird and posturing as that person was being. did get me reminiscing about my HoME obsessed days and I was like aw#I should revisit that :)#sometime self care is rereading 12 volumes of obscure lore about a fictional world with no one to talk with it about#anyways home my beloved. unfinished tales my beloved. love those books#obviously OBVIOUSLY I love the silmarillion and LOTR and the hobbit and beren and luthien etc etc ad infinitum as well! ofc! I just. I love#all of them ♡ hehe ♡

part of the problem is that a lot of hugo's politics are really well thought out & considered & good but then some of them are like. entirely vibes-based to the point of feeling muddled & inconsistent & even straight up Bad sometimes. which is annoying
#sometimes it's like he's just saying things. chewing it over in real time but not getting anywhere really. which is frustrating when you've#just been immersed in a really deep & serious point he's carefully made & laid out just before#<- e.g. this section of revolt vs insurrection has some good points ig & could be interesting if it was actually grounded in some sort#of idk. political theory or something. but instead he spends a lot of it just falling back on ~vibes which sucks Especially bc#sometimes that 'sense' misleads him i think! and he ends up wandering closer to certain reactionary ideas than he intends#like he starts w this really banger bit basically making fun of the bourgeoisie opinion on violent uprising but then?? kind of ends up#doing that a bit himself by the end? not to mention that tbh i think the whole distinction he's trying to make here is kind of bogus anyway#it really feels he's trying to soothe his like lingering bits of conservative discomfort around this sort of armed uprising#by sorting it into a 'good' 'type' while maintaining a 'bad' 'type' for anything he's still not comfortable with#<- i wouldn't phrase that quite so harshly except i still think his bit on 1848 is annoying & this sort of goes hand in hand w that towards#like. actually actively working against the values he's trying to strive towards. y'know.#it's like you can see genuinely him intellectually trying to come round but he has still not let go of these#sort of like. instinctive conservative bourgeois discomforts in his subconscious. if that makes sense#thoughts#<- also the take on caesar & alexander & columbus etc. 😑🚬 i'm tired#kind of funny though bc sometimes his characters (i.e. like the amis) come across as having more clear grounded discussed well#thought through political opinions than he does. lol. it's like he saw the vision but was struggling with it personally at times#les mis

everyday i log onto the internet i am forced to fisticuffs combat the halbarry default yaoi allegations. THEY’RE NOT A BASIC BRUNETTE/BLONDE JOCK/NERD DYNAMIC THEY’RE MORE THAN THAT (coping)
#i can’t talk to certain dc fans some of them are too immersed in fan conversation that they lose their fresh perspective#yk krillers doesn’t know anything abt superheroes and actually told me that they thought halbarry were the opposite#bc hal’s got that plane autism and barry is basically a track star#and i think that is far more enlightened than some of the stuff i see in my peripherals#but they can’t be reduced to fanfic tropes like that either way… they are special… TO ME#it’s just wild to me that i’ll see 2013-style yaoi fanart in 2023#they’re not twinks!!! they’re not twinks and they’re not seme/uke substitutes!!!#i think a good rule of thumb is that most of their dynamic goes both ways#<- not referring to seme/uke but that too ig (does not know which word means what)#but you’ll especially notice this in older vs newer iterations of their relationship#does ‘i won’t let you get lost to the speedforce. don’t let me get lost in the stars’ mean NOTHING to you ?!#they’ve done it all!#older hal used to be the one to reach out and bridge their early friendship while barry was the stick in the mud#and newer hal struggles to adapt to barry’s way of friendship while barry is the one to usually initiate their bonding#also i love hal annoying barry bc that is honest to god his love language#but i never see the reverse in fanworks?#ig bc barry’s way of being annoying is more understated but it’s still pretty egregious#hal is annoying bc he likes attention barry is annoying bc he likes to see hal’s reaction#thank god they have each other so they can (relatively) contain their annoyingness to themselves 💚#except the pda is rly just shameless. why are they always all over each other in front of the justice league.#i’m not even rly complaining anymore i’m honestly just waxing poetic abt their relationship#they have a sedating quality abt them (when they’re not riling me up in a fit of passion)#halbarry#the flash#green lantern#barry allen#hal jordan#dc#danbles

_________Stardew Valley MBTI_________ -----Elliott as an ISFP-----
[+Elliott Immersive Wedding Mod v 3.0 Sneak Peak!]
INFPs and ISFPs are deeply passionate, caring, creative people with a profound capacity for emotional depth and understanding (thanks to their dominant cognitive function - "Introverted Feeling" or "Fi"). However, they are largely misunderstood (even within the MBTI community) and are often unfairly perceived as or presumed to be 'weak', 'fragile', 'crybabies' or 'unmasculine' by others.
Both INFP/ISFP men and women tend to experience a lot of trauma because of their personality type; however, men with dominant Fi seem to experience a lot more direct abuse for trying to express themselves authentically -- and their tenderness, sensitivity, interests, and/or passions get perceived as weakness, brokenness, or an inherent indication of their sexual identity (whether straight or LGBTQ+).
As an INFP myself, it's beyond heartbreaking to see my INFP and ISFP brothers struggle so much with their self-expression and self-actualization just because they were born boys in a world with messed-up ideals; I often wonder how much more everyone would benefit if men were allowed to fully express themselves and their emotions without fear of judgment or ostracization from others, regardless of type.
And thinking about Elliott in Stardew Valley and his personality as an ISFP, I wanted to explore more of his past experiences and unique struggles as an ISFP man in my next mod update:
Mod Update Preview! [Mild Spoilers!]
In version 3.0 (coming soon!) Elliott will open up even more to the farmer about his life, not only about his painful childhood memories but also about how his Fi resilience helped him find the support he needed growing up; having even just one person who truly understood who he was helped him build the confidence to express himself freely without fear of shame or judgment.
We'll also see Elliott admit that his relationship with the farmer has convinced him that the unconditional love and acceptance he once received in the past can continue to flourish with his new family and friends in the present if he allows it to.

Cringe warning: very bad Esperanto.
Lerni sentas malgxuste.)
Sed, mi restis kun la Esperanto(n?) čar gxi estas facila. Mi volas lerni lingvon por la sakeo (that’s… is that seriously the word? Sakeo? I joked once that Esperanto is 80% English words with -o and the end and 15% other languages with o- at the end, but I digress) de lerni lingvon. Homoj diras ke tio estas malbono kialo, sed, kial? Estas amuza… ne estas krimo amuziĝi.
Honeste, mi estis (estis for ‘have been?’ doesn’t feel right…) uzi Google Translate por helpi min, sed ne por lambastono. nur por kontroli se mia gramatiko estas bona.
Cerba furzo? (Googling how to stutter in Esperanto. Great.) (also I’m realising I said bonvolu instead of… oh my god? Am I seriously forgetting hello? Oh, Saluton!)
Edit: after writing this post, I got an easy, actually video about languages recommended… lol
#lemons random rants#Esperanto#conlang#conlangblr#did I mention I want to learn Toki Pona too#anyway- point is with this post- it’s hard to immerse yourself in a conlang#because podcasts in Esperanto tend to be about Esperanto- for example#I dunno.#4-5 years and I still suck#yeah I know doing one duolingo lesson a day is probably why- but you’d think I’d be somewhat good after 4-5 years#I can read basic paragraphs in Esperanto but some words fly over my head.#I could probably read and understand ‘there was a fruit that was very yellow and juicy’ but could I write that sentence? er… unlikely#I also get tio/tiu and all that jazz mixed up#same with mia/miaj/miajn and all that.#I guess it’s kinda intuitive. sometimes I look at something and think ‘this doesn’t feel right.’#I have the same problem with art where I got really discouraged because people assume I’m a beginner#I’ve done art on and off since 2018. even before that I drew a lot in 2017 and 2016.#I’m just not that good.#same with languages.#sometimes I wanna learn music too.#but I make something super generic and repetitive. and give up. because I don’t know how to structure a song.#my instinct is to just add more and more but never change the er- core… melody?#this post took 20 minutes I could’ve been working on my writing or something.#it’s not laziness. I work really hard at my writing. I just struggle to invest time in anything else because… I’m not a natural at it. also#it strangely feels like slacking off when I do anything other than write#edit or proofreading#also I’ve technically cleared the entire Esperanto course on duolingo like five times#I like skipping to all the ‘big tests’ sometimes where they don’t give hints and they’re very long#as for my Toki Pona? Even worse! I know a lot of the words but not how to structure it. suli. laso. mi. jan. a. awesi(?). kulupu. Soweli#Soweli my beloved creature. insa? look point is I know some words but not how to structure things

and it's wild because my number one response when in traumatic situations is to infact step back and figure out my emotions and how they are pertaining to the situation. and then i forced myself to work through the discomfort of bringing them up, and learned how to gently bring them to the table when I understood them. i learned how to say "I don't understand how this is making me feel right now and I cannot respond to you until I do"
and it's wild that just because I did not just say "oh sorry, you're right and I'm wrong" means that I'm just so severely traumatized that I "wasn't communicating correctly" because that is just false and unfair to literally anybody that is subjected to that kind of behavior.
