SORRY for writing this post bc like I don't even go here it's not even my area of interest but it's always odd to me when people on here say things like "why are people on here so into pregnancy/mpreg/abo/whatever as a kink/in erotica/in fanfiction, don't they know it's a reflection of a scary oppressive patriarchal system of gender based oppression, don't they know pregnancy in this situation is scary" and it's like idk I think if you looked into the demographics of people enjoying this stuff [on here] you might actually discover that a lot of them are part of demographics that are intimately familiar with patriarchy, reproductive issues, bodily autonomy, etc like this is a part of their daily lives & have to deal with these things every day. personally a lot of the people I see who are into this stuff are people for whom straight patriarchal relationships & especially pregnancy are actually basically their worst nightmare & something they personally never want to experience. like idk "why are you as a woman/trans person/queer person into this stuff don't you know it's scary" isn't this the "people process things they're afraid of through eroticism" site. I thought we'd agreed that was something people did
#this is not about any mutuals posts tbc. but other people's stuff I'm always seeing on here#thoughts#which NOT to say a lot of this stuff isn't very conservative at base in values even so. but like I don't find it that hard to imagine#why people are into it actually#again not about any of my mutuals who have good critiques of stuff. this is about people I don't know in the notes of some posts I saw

I wish there was a button I could press that could bring back one historical figure so I can ask what their fucking problem was, before slamming another button that kills them again
