The curse mainly refers to the narrative tool/device that brings the character closer to their ending, and can be an external or internal force. Every main character gets a “curse”. Whether or not the curse has a physical form in the novel/character’s reality is varied

People who think this season is ending soon because “no one is on” are simply watching the wrong hermits. Sorry your favorite Hermit isn’t playing rn but this is an opportunity to try out new people if you want Hermitcraft content. Pearl, False, Skizz, Tango, Jevin, Joe, Impulse, and X (and those are just the ones I can say off the top of the head) are all still on regularly. I don’t know the others streaming or uploading schedules but Skizz and Pearl are on multiple times a week. Joe is on near daily.

Skizzpulse’s vibe is highschool sweethearts (everyone wondered why impulse would date a band geek even though he himself was a band geek) who have now retired and all of their 7 kids have moved out. They live in a little suburban home where they sleep in separate beds (not because of any marital issues but because as soon as they fall asleep Impulse becomes incredibly cuddly and Skizz steals all of the blankets). They go on daily walks together and read to the kids in the Children’s hospital. Impulse tends to the garden and Skizz cooks. Not only do their kids visit regularly but their kids friends do as well, along with random people they met around town (church, the park, their house, local concerts, etc.). Everyone comes over to hang out and enjoy Skizz’s cooking and pitch in to help create a safe space for their community. Nowadays, many people have met each other through spending time at their house and they have built a larger local community of people, which seems rare in this day and age.

How I imagine Skizz joined Hermitcraft

Broke: Impulse is an imp and Skizz is an angel because they're best friends and the imp thing matches with Impulse being summoned onto the server like a demon when he joined originally

Woke: Impulse is an Imp and Skizz is a dove who keeps being mistaken for an angel because his best friend is an imp so people just assume when they see the white wings

Bespoke: Skizz is an angel but Impulse is just a goat and his horns are unrelated to being summoned

Impulse and Skizz past piercing stories

Impulse: Now you guys are gonna go on there and tell everybody about my piercings. (laughs) Alright. Let's-let's-let's do it, let's do it. I-I'm an open book. I said it before, I'm an open book. Here we go. Uhm. First piercing...occurred...in...my f-s-first year of college. (laughs) First piercing occurred in college. I-I went up to NAU, and for whatever reason I decided I wanted to...pierce my eyebrow. So this eyebrow--I think it was this one--hang on, yeah, it was this one. I know because I can feel, like, uh, scar tissue, basically. Uhm. Yeah. So I pierced this eyebrow--I loved it, actually, uh, I loved the eyebrow piercing, back in the day, I thought it was cool. Until! Until it got caught. On my girlfriend's, like, purse, or backpack, or somethin'--something happened, somehow, and it got caught, and like, ripped. Didn't rip completely out, but it ripped enough. Uh, wasn't good. So that came out.

Impulse: Uh, what else, um...what else. Uh, some point I thought it'd be cool to have my tongue pierced. It was cool, except for the fact I did it Thanksgiving week. And I couldn't eat Thanksgiving meal that week, cause my tongue was so swollen and painful. Um. That piercing was fun, though. For whatever reason the tongue one was, uh, it was interesting. It didn't, it didn't hurt, it felt kinda weird. Uh. Then! Well, I had my ears pierced as well. I had my--just my left, ear pierced. We did that in drum core. The entire drum line wanted to--or, the entire snare line wanted to get their ear pierced, so we had, like, matching earrings? So we had our ears pierced, that was-that was one of my early ones too.

Impulse: And then-and then-and then I got my nipple pierced. I did it. (sighs) That was a--that was painful. (laughs) I went in-I went in thinking I was going to get both done. I was gonna get both-both nipples pierced. And then! I got one pierced. And it hurt so bad. It hurt so bad, uh, that I was like, "I'm just gonna--I'm done, I'm not doing the other one," uh. I walked out of the piercing place, and my girlfriend was like, said I looked like a ghost. Like, all the color had drained from my face. And I was like, "yeah, I didn--I couldn't do it, I couldn't go through with the second one." Uhm. Oddly enough that piercing also got caught on a backpack strap, and partially ripped. That felt great, and, uh, and eventually I decided it wasn't worth the, umm, risk anymore, and I took that one out too. So all my piercings have been taken out, I have zero piercings now. They've all--(laughs)--they've all been undone. And just scars have been left, basically. (laughs) There you go, there's the story. Put that on Reddit. (laughs) "Impulse has had his ear, eyebrow, tongue and nipple pierced."
