Obsessed with My Name is Earl because it genuinely has the concept that karma is not only real, but so real that when you realize it and the signs of it, it doesn't stop. It only gets more powerful and more apparent the more you listen and understand. It becomes more obvious that the universe is almost talking directly to him. Like it has a special eye on him. Deterring him when he strays from his list, and rewarding him when he finally does the right thing.

Day 22: Karma

Honestly, I have a love-hate relationship with the karma system in the Fallout games on one hand I love the balance and how it changes the endings but on the other hand it can be frustrating when you're trying to keep good karma and have to steal stuff or steal something but the person is dead like come on it's not bad karma to kill the guy but if I take his used cigarette it's bad karma?

I must’ve been a saint in my past life because I just lucked out amazing karma today. My coworker made me a bday cake, I got paid, one of my best friends sent me a gift and it came today and my other friend just got back from a mission and texted me

A bee’s life. Did you remember that bees are essential to exist in order for humans to continue to live?

The bee was on the bus, huddled in the drain hole of a plastic seat. They struggled to just get upright and fell to the floor, in the walkway. I’ve been telling myself that I’m going to start bringing a small plastic container to carry whatever buggies I find on my day to day life, but I always forget. This bee was very lucky that I had one of my reusable bags at the ready in my tote. I used a pencil’s end to nudge it into the bag and waited for my stop. Even luckier were we when the stop had a few rose bushes to act as cover. I shook them out onto the ground very close to the base of the rose bush and watched as they scurried to the safety of the branches. It was wildly windy that day, so I hope I chose the right coverage for them.

It’s not going to seem like I did much that morning, but every single opportunity you get to display kindness and compassion towards beings who cannot defend themselves is an opportunity you should take. That poor bee could have been mushed for simply being a bee in the wrong place at the wrong time. No crime committed except for the ‘crime’ of being small.

Love bees. Love our small creatures. We have to be better then the humans of the past. We have to set an example.

Yesterday was ROUGH, guys. I was flying to visit my family for the holidays, and despite being at the airport over an hour early, I nearly missed my flight because December airport security is basically the tenth circle of hell. By the time I got into the terminal, I had six minutes to get to my gate (which of course was at the exact opposite end of the terminal). So I had to go as fast as I possibly could, running through the airport like I was in a rom-com, and COMPLETELY panicking!! I didn't get to the house until almost 2 am, I was SO ready for this day to be over. But then, out of NOWHERE, my friend texted me saying they got two tickets to see Gracie Abrams in LA as an early Christmas present and that they want to take me with them!! It feels a little like the universe is making up for the chaos of yesterday. I tried to get a ticket to that show and failed so I'm super super excited now! (Plus after the whole airport security debacle, I took the plunge and invested in Clear so things are looking up 😎)

Anyway, I just wanted to share because I wanted to see if you guys have any cool holiday plans or travel stories or concerts you're looking forward to!

I let a dude use one of the bathrooms at work today as I was closing them, as is standard protocol for the closing of the grocery store bathrooms so people don't make a mess or complain.

For some reason, this was enough for him to tip me 200 dollars and then pray for me.
