I wasn't thinking of any specific moth, she's a mixture of various different species I thought were neat. I like to headcanon that bug hybrids have a tendency to rub their hands together like flies do to stay clean. Moths don't really do that but I thought it suited Pearl's character, the body language...

I needed her more pointy at the bottom to offset all the fluff. I love when she's fluffy but keeping her a slightly awkward amount of tall and lanky and spiky is integral to me
