Notice how i never brought up eve in any of my complaints abt cain & abel?its not becuz i havent thought abt her,but since we all know how viv writes her female characters,theres not a universe in wich eve would have been handled properly in the narrative,like at least theres an open plot potential fr her sons😑the most nice possibility i could thing is it will be revealed she divorced adam long ago & got herself a new man/angel IF THEY MAKE EVE & LILITH A THING ISTFG IM GONNA-

Howvr i still have hope that eve in s2 gonna appear as an obstacle against lute & her plans once shell step in & take over adam high position,or she could offer aid to emily on contacting charlie in hell to help the sinners.& even if eve wont contribute to the plot they can just cut to her showing sir pentious around in heaven & helping him get use to his new life.

Nontheless im afraid she wont matter in any way in HH cuz ever since the story introduced lilith as the rebellious wife of adam i had this worry that eve will be the foil to her & have a submissive/meek role

Submission: And the Incompetence Reaches New Heights of, Well, Incompetence

Two thoughts here: (1) It’s obvious that KP Coms is panicking at the realization that in their zeal to up the positive PR re: Catherine, Princess of Wales, they made a colossal mistake in having her trot around with a new handbag worth a stupid amount of money when people don’t have the pounds to pay for heat for the winter. Ergo, the new announcement on not revealing the designers she’s wearing. Looks bad, dontchaknow. Except that up until this point, she has been a very effective ambassador for British fashion and by installing this ban, she’s no longer passively merching the British fashion industry. Plus, there’s this little thing called the Internet and people can SEARCH for whatever she wears. They are in a bit of a conundrum, which I could see coming a mile away. Proof of life versus proof of massive entitlement versus children shivering in their beds at night. What to do

(2) No wonder Charles is furious at them. That word salad regarding the Early Years initiative is Meghan worthy. Have compassion? Doesn’t put food on the table, luv. It would have been better if they hadn’t said ANYTHING. This is ridiculous. The vacuous nature of these two is coming to the fore. I was sympathetic to this initiative at the beginning because you have to start somewhere, but it’s like William’s homelessness boondoggle. All this sounds great and seems to be nothing more than empty words. The time has come when neither of them can hide between the “happy” family narrative that they’ve been exploiting for over a decade–they are just like you and me, except for that billion-pound fortune. That perfume ad with Catherine gliding through the woods and romping on the sand dunes with the kids was the biggest mistake they’ve made. William looks worse every single day, although he seems to be having a ball hanging out with his bros drinking beer. The lack of any substantial effort on his part to do basic royaling is becoming more obvious with every passing month.

Note to KP Coms team: It’s just not that hard. Don’t show Catherine shopping when she hasn’t shown up for at least a year at any of her patronages (and yet she has a NEW one) and stop having William paling around with his bros when he dodged Carter’s funeral, all for a black and tan? Boggles the mind. W&C are now rivaling the Sussexes. Who’s lazier, who’s more entitled, who’s more out of touch? I never thought I’d say this, but it’s now a REAL contest. Everyone at the KP Coms team should be fired, and Catherine and William should get off their asses and do their jobs, for which they are compensated to an obscene degree.

Just weeks ago they (KP) were touting how much money Kate could generate with her royal warrants, which have obviously not happened, and now Kate should not be known for her clothes.

Which one should it be? Should we take bets on whether or not Kate has a handbag with her at her next public engagement? 

What really gets me is that this story is only making the rounds because KP wants it to be making the rounds.

Those “negotiating skills” are what caused so many royal warrant articles to be written last month; now they’re attempting to deflect any negatives away from her wardrobe.

Maybe if Kate wants to be “known” for her work she should ACTUALLY work, but that ship sailed years ago. 

I can’t wait for whatever Kate is going to release for her Early Years campaign this week. Will it be a video with babies & pastels? 

I hope the peeps at KP who read my blog are working on getting their resumes/CVs ready. Because you should be looking for jobs in a non-communications field right now. While you can still get one!

Honestly I don't get the muscle argument with Dick and Jason because people are just talking about height most of the time. They get upset when Jason isn't his canonical height. If artists drew Dick as short and thicker than Jason wouldn't that work. But for the most part fans who say big Jason is toxic just switch it and make Dick taller and beefier. It more often feels like people are co-opting social justice issues to get around the fact that they don't like beefy depictions of Jason but just saying that is silly so it has to be about toxic masculinity or some other social justice issue.

So I don't know this character, but I can tell a lot about this wheelchair even from the silhouette - and it shows someone who likely knows their way around wheelchairs!

So a couple things jump out at me - the first is the spoked wheels. Those are a common trait of custom wheelchairs, unless you get really fancy. [Both links lead to LoopWheels and SoftWheels listing for education purposes. Sometimes wheels will have lightweight plastic spokes but it's less common on custom chairs.]

The single piece footplate implies this person is either a full-time user or, if they are ambulatory, they use a wheelchair enough to get a custom one.

The back looks low enough that their shoulders are free, and though there are push handles that isn't an automatic problem - a lot of people opt to have them, choose them "just in case," or need them sometimes but not always.

A really neat note is that you can see that single axle running under the chair - this is a great detail! Most (if not all) rigid frame chairs have that one single axle to connect the wheels. It's kind of like homestuck troll horns in that even people who are into drawing wheelchairs will forget to put it there lmao.

So I can't give it an exact score since I don't know the context of this wheelchair user - but I can say that this is a great depiction of the silhouette of an active custom manual wheelchair! In that aspect it's a 10/10 outline lol

art tip i was extreeeeemely late to finding out about: throw a black layer on top of your drawing, set to colour mode, and keep toggling it on and off while you draw so you can check that your colours are interesting and you have enough contrast between them!

Submission: The story behind the facade

Another long one, but I haven’t seen anyone else address this issue.

We all gripe about how inept the KP coms dept. is, and I think a lot of that is because you have indecision and incompetence at the very top. You do the math. That said, they have done a great job at erasing the line between the duty aspects of being a working royal (as in, their JOBS) and the more personal and physical aspects of the Wales family. Catherine wears a stunning dress to the Bond premiere and the grumbling about the paucity of events populating her calendar dies down. William takes George to a football game and the grumbling about his lack of commitment to his royal duties reduces to a whisper. Every other royal I can think of keeps their personal lives fairly distinct from their public lives precisely because we see them day after day out there doing the ribbon cutting. What separates the Wales from EVERYONE else is that they’ve flipped the dynamic through a series of carefully crafted PR events that rely very heavily on the attractiveness of the couple and their children to silence or at least muffle the criticism. Frankly, attending Wimbledon wearing the latest from Emilia Wickstead does fuck all for the majority of Brits. Is it great PR? Sure. Except that Wimbledon will generate its own amazing PR. Having Catherine appear at Wimbledon is in service of HER PR. It’s not like Wimbledon won’t sell out if she doesn’t attend. Let’s get real here.

The perfume ad makes my case without me having to even think for two seconds about this. Did she appear behind her desk with the camera focused on her and her alone? Did she make a short announcement that she’s finished up her medical regimen, there are side effects, unfortunately, and she’s not sure of the extent of her ability to attend to her royal duties in the future? Did she follow that up by another sentence or two about how she’s so proud of her patronages and the work that they continue to do during these trying times (maybe even a cheesy handclapping on her part might happen)? Did we get any that? Nope. We got her gliding through the trees and cavorting on the sand dunes. NO mention of her duties as a royal. And if we dare question why she’s not addressing her duties as a WORKING member of the BRF, then we are monsters. Look at her gliding through the trees. She’s suffered so much. She’s so pretty, and what designer is she wearing, by the way. 

I’m becoming disgusted with these two and their PR shenanigans. Anyone with a brain can see that something serious is going on here, and some transparency–given that they live off the public purse–would be appreciated. And to be clear, I am not a Sussex stan, I despise them, ironically for the same reason I have issues with the Wales: they are abusing their privilege. Aside from whatever serious shit went down last year, I think that W&C aren’t that enamoured with being working royals and the stats support that, but they sure like their five lengthy vacations a year–no long weekends for them! If they don’t want to do the job, then abdicate. It’s that simple.

I’d barricade every door, or never build them at all. I would still be full to bursting with the pleasantly consumptive desire that pervaded me at sixteen; I would beg for a sort of domestic vampirism to replace sex, and I’d say: This is what love is, baby, take it or leave it. We would never buy groceries. You would crawl into our bed each night brimming with raw anticipatory genius, and I would kiss your hands to settle them, again and again, because I could make a million empty promises but I could kiss you for days on end.
