hello everyone (хдх)ﾉ♡ this is for anyone who might be looking forward to Li Zeyan’s top-up SP and summer SP translations.

i’m here to inform you that your soldier has fallen severely ill 🤧 fever’s not really budging much from 104°F+ / 40°C+, and there’s then cold and migraine🧍‍♀️so, as much i want to get to the translations asap before uni starts in full swing, i really can’t right now. however, i will translate both cards, and kid you not she has so many things to scream about HHHH 😭 only halfway through the year and two more cards are entering my god-tier list aksksks 🙇‍♀️

Analyzing the anime's all episodes with English subtitles~

I decided to do an observation & analysis of the currently famous anime Spring 2022 SPY × FAMILY. After my previous-of-previous-of-whatever-previous post, I continued watching the episodes, started thinking about analyzing them, and see if there are any spoilers or interesting facts.

W końcu udało mi się wypić 5 l wody!! Trochę się wkurzyłam bo się okazało ,że mój jutrzejszy trening jest odwołany , ale no jakoś już przeżyje . Mam trochę motywację bo zdałam sobie sprawę,że przecież w czerwcu , mój crush crush wyjeżdża do szkoły średniej więc będziemy się widzieć tylko kilka razy w miesiącu , albo i rzadziej + nie może mnie zapamiętać jako grubą , wkurzającą, brzydka świnie . Potrzebuję tego Ana pomóż mi . Przeliczyłam sobie ile ok. Będę musiała jutro zjeść kcal , i jest tego w chuj . Pokazuje mi 912 a ja mam nadzieję , że będzie tak z 800 najwięcej . Na pewno nie dam rady pominąć śniadania -robi mi je moja mama a jutrzejszy omlet ma ponad 300 kcal 💀. I tak lepiej bo chciała mi zrobić hot dogi który ma prawie 500 . Dziś poszło łatwo bo zjadłam w domu , do szkoły nic nie brałam bo miałam jakoś podkradane do 4 lekcji . Jak wróciłam zjadłam lasagne (12:30) i tak do 18:43 udało mi się nie jeść . Miał być fast , ale mojej mamie coś się to stało podejrzane więc zjadłam jogurt proteinowy. Trochę to dla mnie podejrzane ale średnio czuje głód psychiczny . Mam nadzieję ,że to zostanie.Kurde zmęczone tym wszystkim jestem. Szkoła , Ana (choć w sumie z nią to chyba najlepiej) , koleżanki . Mam w chuj dylemat co zrobić . Przez kilka lat miałam taką grupkę przyjaciółek ale w kwietniu gdy bardzo poważnie skręciłam kostkę , byłam dla wszystkich trochę nie miał , mimo ,że tego nie widziałam . Pokocilysmy się i od maja się nie przyjaźnimy . Byłam cicho , strasznie cicho , ale starałam się odzywać . Było też wsuemi Cieszków z moim zdrowiem psychicznym . Teraz mam raz tak , że mam ego top ,a raz zastanawiam się czy nie wrócić do sh , mimo , że jestem wolna chyba z 2 mięsiace . A to wszystko w ciągu dnia .Wtedy stwierdziłam , że po wakacjach wszystko będzie idealnie , ale tak się nie stało . Kontakt mam dobry tylko z jedną , ale pozostałe . To masakra . Szczególnie gdy widzę tą jedną w której trochę wsumie siebie widzę , a wiem że nie mogę jej pomóc . Ona też ma ed , wiedziałam to wcześniej , gdy jeszcze byłam zdrowa , a teraz widzę tylko jej reposty . One jej nie pomagają , czuje się odrzucona , a ja nie chcę by się tak czuła . Onanie pewnie nienawidzi , ale ja byłabym wstanie wziąć to wszystko od niej ,byle by była szczęśliwa . Od ich wszystkich , bo je kocham , nie mam pojęcia jak sytuacja wygląda z ich strony . Kiedyś było tak zajebiście , a teraz nie umiem się znowu odzywać . Trochę jakby były mi obce . W między czasie zaczęła do mnie gadać moja koleżanka , nie wi M czym mg wsumie teraz z nią jestemy , ale wcześniej miała inną przyjaciółkę , ale tak jakby chyba zostawiła ją dla mnie . Z jednej strony chce do moich dziewczyn , ale nie chce jej zostawiać . Mimo ,że obie strony mnie ranią , pewnie wybrałabym je . Ona zasługuje na coś lepszego ode mnie . Sorki ,że tak emocjonalnie , ale nie mam się komu wygadać.

Have you ever heard of a שְׁמָרְצָב /sh-mar-'tsav/?

It's a uniquely Israeli term crafted for "Turtle Sitters”, volunteers who dedicate their time to safeguarding these precious creatures. As hatching season has begun in Israel, I wanted to share their work and this wonderful Hebrew word with you.

The term שְׁמָרְצָב /sh-mar-'tsav/ is a spin on the Hebrew word for babysitter which is שְׁמַרְטַף /sh-mar-'taf/.

The Hebrew word for Babysitter is a combination of two words שְׁמָרְ (to guard) and טַף (baby).

The turtle version replaces the טַף (baby) with צָב (turtle), creating שְׁמָרְצָב /sh-mar-'tsav/...

As these volunteers focus on helping with everything to do with our sea turtle hatchlings! 🐢💕

At the Israeli sea turtle rescue center in Michmoret (מכמורת), volunteers work in shifts, scanning the beaches for sea turtle nests. Sea turtles are wild animals, and so volunteers minimize human contact as much as possible, only engaging directly for medical treatment, monitoring, and rehabilitation.

As part of their preparation for the nesting season, the center requested the IDF to remove hazardous obstacles placed at the start of the war at Betzet beach. The IDF not only agreed but personally assisted in removing these obstacles, ensuring the safety of both the nesting turtles and the turtle sitters.

This year's nesting season began with the discovery of the first nest, belonging to a female brown sea turtle, containing 104 eggs safely relocated to a hatchery to be guarded until they hatch.

Being a שְׁמָרְצָב /sh-mar-'tsav/ is about being part of a mission to preserve the delicate balance of our environment and ensuring that future generations can also marvel at these wonderful creatures.

Katara spends every moment she can gathering volunteers.

It isn't as difficult as she had thought. She went into town, standing by the notice board, as she called out into the crowd. A few people turned to listen as she explained that the Northern Water Tribe was in trouble, as she had been given permission to gather volunteers to take into the arctic. She put a poster up on the board, and went back to the palace. She talked to the guards in the break room, and they were always happy to help.

In the end, it takes five days for Aang to arrive, riding on Appa. He descends down on the Fire Palace, causing servants to scurry about. Katara went out and hugged her younger friend, not caring when one maid gasped loudly.

"Thank you so much for coming, Aang," she said, pulling back to look him over. "Where have you been? I haven't seen you in months."

Aang gave a bit of a shrug. "Just... Doing this thing for Avatar Yanghen."

Knowing better than to ask, Katara nodded and led him inside, where Beteye was. He was talking with her father and brother, who had arrived the day before.

Zuko was noticeably absent. He hadn't exactly been avoiding her, but it was a near thing. Each time they happened to be in a room together, he got this look, like he wanted to ask her something, and would stare at her for a moment before eventually leaving. It hurt a bit, but Katara wasn't in a particularly amicable mood either.

After a quick discussion, they headed for the docks, where there were a few Southern boats. It was mostly Southern Warriors, but a few of the Northern Refugees were also on board. Apparently, when they heard Princess Yue was in trouble, they wanted to help.

And, of course, Captain Jee and the Wani crew.

They had a meeting, discussing their strategies. The final decision was Aang would go in first, with Suki and Sokka, to try to speak with whoever was in charge - Hahn or Arnook - and at least confirm whether Yue was in immediate danger or not. Depending on what they discovered, her father would lead the Southern Warriors and Northern Refugees would press forward into the wall. Katara and two Northern Refugee benders would wait with the borrowed cruiser and the Wani, until they received the signal - a firework - for reinforcements, where she and the other two waterbenders, would force the entire wall down.

"Remember," Aang said, looking a bit nervous. "This is a diplomatic mission first. We don't want to kill anybody. We want to stabilize the Northern Tribe, not break it down."

"And rescue Yue," Sokka added.

They were set to leave that night. Katara had traded the tailored robes for her old blue under tunic and red parka. Her waterskins, old as they were, hung from her shoulders, ready to be used as the weapons they were in her hands. As they were standing on the docks, Katara organizing and doing a final check or supplies, she saw him walking towards them.

"Zuko," she said, when he stopped a few feet from her.

He blinked, that far off and confused look still in his eyes. "Katara, I..."

Shaking her head, she looked down at her checklist. Taka was carrying the last crate of provisions aboard. "If you're going to apologize, don't bother. I wasn't... You made a promise to your people. That you were different, that you would be focused on bettering their lives, not fighting across the water. And you lent us a ship in the end."

She could see Zuko give a bit of a nod out of the corner of her eye, and she turned to look at him. He was making that face now, the one that she always thought was adorable, but Sokka compared to constipation. It was Zuko's 'I want to say something, but I probably shouldn't' face.

"What is it?" She asked, though she had a feeling she knew what it was about.

"I..." He swallowed. "I was wondering. If you could tell me more, about my mother." As if realizing where they were, he straightened. "Not now. But when you get back."

Katara wished she could tell him everything she knew. Why Ursa had married Ozai. Her suspicions of a lover before Ursa's marriage. All of the little things Ursa had shared with her.

"Lady Katara," Rinzo called from the deck. "The crew is ready to go!"

"Good luck," Zuko said, starting to back away. "Be careful, alright?"

Clenching her jaw, she reached out, catching his arm. He paused, turning to look at her with wide eyes.

"Hira'a," she blurted. She let go of him, starting to head up the gangplank. "Your mother was from a town called Hira'a."

It was the last thing she said to him, before heading on deck to direct the crew. She knew he would have wallowed in his thoughts the entire time she was gone, no matter what she said. But now, he had something to focus on. A lead to search for his mother.

And while she would prefer to go with Zuko, she couldn't until Yue was safe. Besides... Maybe some time alone would do him some good.

Will Solace crept through the night silently, he was planning to surprise Nico. They hadn't had much time alone since Will was stuck working in the infirmary; he reached the door and heard sobbing. Something had happened. Nico was the only one here; he's already gone through so much, why does the world want to see him suffer. Will wondered; he opened the door without making a noise as he saw the figure of Nico di Angelo sitting on his bed crying. Will walk forward and sat down next to his boyfriend, he saw the small blade in his hand and the blood covering his arms. Will took the blade from his and placed it on the table next to him,

"Angel what happened?" Will asked softly hiding the panic and fear in his voice, Nico couldn't speak, he just shook as tears ran down his face. Will hugged him and kissed his forehead, "Angel, you are the best part of my life. What happened love?" He whispered in his ear, hardly able to stop his voice from shaking. He brushed his hands though Nico's hair until his breathing evened, he still didn't talk but soon he fell asleep on Will. He probably need some sleep, Will thought to himself, Nico looked like he hadn't slept in days, he probably hadn't .

Will didn't sleep that night, he watched over Nico gently stroking his hair the whole night, when some light shined into the cabin Will properly looked at Nico. His arms had stopped bleeding but he saw just how bad it was, how long had this been happening? He couldn't believe he hadn't noticed, he'd been so busy trying to treat everyone in the infirmary he hadn't realised. Will plunged into guilt, what if it was his fault? Nico had always loved his Aviator jacket but Will hadn't realised it's been weeks maybe months that he wasn't seen without even when it was 104°, how was he only finding out now? Will prayed to ever God he could remember that Nico would be okay; he checked his watch 10:47am. He knew he was going to get in a lot of trouble for being late to the infirmary but right now he didn't care, he would stay here until Nico was okay, no matter how long it took. Nico woke up at 1:32am,

"Sunshine why are you here? What time is it?" Nico glanced down and realise Will had seen his arm, he thought about how mad Will would be and started shaking. He expected Will to leave, but all he did was wrap his arms around Nico.

"Angel breathe, I'll always be here for you love. I know you've gone to Hell and back love but you have so much left to live for." Will said softly holding Nico tighter,

"I'm cursed. My whole life has been Hell, my sister died, I was talking ghosts for years, I've fought so much yet everyone still acts like I'm evil, like I'm going to turn around and burn this place down the first chance I get. You're the only good part of my life, and every single time you talk to me I feel like you deserve someone, anyone better than me, I killed Octavian Sol, I don't know why you still talk to me." Nico broke down into tears,

"Nico, love, I promise you aren't cursed. Angel I love you, there is no one better." Will said holding Nico's face in his hands,"How long has this been happening love?" dropping one hand to pick up Nico's arm, he ran his fingers over the cuts singing softly so they heal.

"F..four months...." Nico stuttered softly, "I'm sorry it's jus-" Will put a finger over his mouth "Angel you don't have to apologise, I just wish you told me. I wish I had talked to you earlier and tried to help." Will said, failing to keep his tone even,"Will, I didn't want to distract you. You're busy all day in the infirmary the last thing you need is more to do!" Nico started to sob again,

"Angel, I'll always have time for you. Please, please tell me if you ever want to do it again love, promise me you'll tell me." Will said kissing him softly,

"Sol I love you, and I promise I'll tell you, on the river of Styx." He whispered in an almost stable voice.

"I love you too Nic" Will said, kissing him one last time before they both fell asleep on each other. The next morning as they both awoke Nico whispered,

“Sunshine, please don’t tell anyone, including Hazel” still grasping Will’s hand from the night before.

“Of course love,” Will said stroking Nico’s hair and wrapping it around his fingers.

“I’ll tell her eventually but right now I just can't," Nico responded in a soft sob.

"Angel, take as long as you need. I love you so much," Will says kissing him softly.

"Sunshine I love you too," Nico said quietly, then slowly humming you are my sunshine while putting tiny braids in Will's hair. They just sit there without talking for a few hours.

"Sunshine?" Nico asked,

"Yeah Angel?" Will responded brightly

"It's almost 6pm, won't you get in trouble?" He asked cautiously "You've spent two days here, they probably know where we are but don't you need to be at the infirmary?" Will brushed a lock of Nico's hair behind his ear,

"Nic, there are other people. They'll be fine without me for two day, I've missed you. Also when was the last time you ate or drank water? At least two days ago, I know that much. Angel I think we have to leave your cabin at some point if we don't want to die here." Nico leans up firmly kissing him, Nico's lips felt cold against his but they were soft. Will puts his hand in Nico's hair, it was tangled but still soft running down to his shoulders. Half the time it wa covering his face, so much so that Will now had a habit of putting hair ties on his wrist since Nico always forgot to bring them. Will was warm and almost glowing, Nico had one hand through his hair feeling through the soft, blonde, light curls that looked like they were shining in the sun. After twenty second's they broke the kiss,

"We can worry about health later love." Nico whispers in his ear sinking into another kiss. After they break the kiss Will starts kissing his neck softly and brushing his thumb over Nico's hand, by now they had given up on sitting and we're laying on the bed with Will practically on top on Nico. He blushed violently as the blonde boy kissed his neck gently, it all ended too quickly in his mind as the clock reached six and this time Will was insistent on him eating something.

As they finally walked out of the cabin Percy said,

"Finally the lovebirds came out, we almost sent Jason on a mission to give you food. We weren't sure if you were ever planning to come out of there." Nico laughed back

"Well we have emerged from the..-mysterious place of cabin 13." Percy flashed him an almost relived smile like he was glad that he was joking with him. They walk over to the Hades table, "Don't you have to sit with the rest of the Apollo kids?" Nico wondered,

"Oh, because I've just been so amazing at following the rules Angel." Will grinned back, giving Nico a small kiss. Most of the tables exploded, especially the Aphrodite kids. And from the corner of his eye Nico say Annabeth looking at him proudly as well as a bunch of people handing Piper money while she had an 'I told you so' look. The two boys just sat down laughing holding each other and from that moment Nico knew that whatever happened, as long as Will Solace was with him he would be okay.

So I was doing more research (like you do), this time here:

It's like, a dollar on Kindle, but anyway.

I was reading the section about Xiwangmu, the Queen Mother of the West (pg 35), and it said that her consort was Dongwanggong, the King Father of the East, NOT the Jade Emperor. While this is likely just the kind of inconsistency that happens to a mythology over eons and vast distances, but it got me thinking about a story from my other source:

The story of the Queen of Heaven, Tian Hou/Tian Fe Niang Niang (pg 104). Now, being described as the Queen of Heaven one would expect her to be consort to the ruler of heaven, the Jade Emperor, but I couldn't find any sources claiming that. They all said the Jade Emperor's consort was Xiwangmu.

I also had Nu Wa, an early earth goddess, on the mind because she shows up in both books. Her parentage is a bit wobbly because of how old she is, with some sources claiming her to be the daughter of the Jade Emperor, while others say she's the child of Huaxu (another powerful goddess) and Leigong, the god of thunder, along with her twin brother/husband Fu Xi.

Now, taking all this scattered and messy mythology I thought: how can I clean this up so it fits in a modern story (like LMK) in a way that makes sense? Here's what I came up with:

The Jade Emperor and Xiwangmu are both on their second marriage. JE's first wife was Tian Hou, XWM's first hubby was DWG. Both couples split for some reason before JE and XWM got together.

Nu Wa is a child from XWM's first marriage with DWG, making her JE's stepdaughter rather than his biological daughter, while Fu Xi is still the child of Huaxu and Leigong because I know gods are different, but incest is still yuck.

I know trying to iron out mythology is a pointless endeavor because they were never meant to hold together in the first place, but I think I did pretty well here. Thoughts?

Hey snake owners. Specifically ball python owners. I'm looking into getting a ball python this summer. I've been doing some research and I'm going to put some of the information I've gathered here and If anyone wants to correct me or add anything to what I have that would be awesome. I really want to give the snake the best home it can possibly have

General

Royal pythons, better known as ball pythons are a species of constrictor snake from West Africa. Ball pythons are known for rolling up into a ball. They come in hundreds of different morphs (patterns and colors) with thousands of different morph combinations. Ball pythons range from 3-5 feet with females tending to be larger. They live about 20-30 years. They tend to be incredibly docile snakes that don't mind being handled.

Husbandry

Ball pythons have very specific husbandry needs. One end of the tank needs to be a warm basking area and one needs to be cooler, so all heat sources should be placed at one end of the tank. The required temperatures are about

Basking surface temperature: 95-104°F (35-40°C)

Warm hide temperature: 86-90°F (30-32°C)

Cool hide temperature: 72-80°F (22-27°C)

Nighttime temperature: 70-78°F (21-26°C)

Fahrenheit is a more suitable measurement because of the smaller increments. The air temperature should never reach more than 95°F.

Ball pythons need plenty of hiding spaces, at least one hide on each end of the tank, preferably more depending on the size of the snake. Along with hides, they should have plenty of rocks, leaves, and branches to feel comfortable. While ball pythons are not arboreal (living in trees) many will climb if given the opportunity, so climbing space is also useful. A basking rock or branch in the hot end of the tank is also important. They need at least 6 inches of substrate that retains moisture well. Pythons are diggers and the depth is important. Coconut fiber and sphagnum moss are a good mixture to help retain humidity. Ball pythons require 60% humidity to thrive and so a water-retaining substrate is helpful, along with a large water bowl, daily mistings, and a humid hide. The snake also needs a heavy water bowl large enough for the snake to lie in but shallow enough to avoid drowning.

Growing ball pythons can be fed rodents no larger than the thickest part of the snake once every 7-10 days. Adult ball pythons can be fed once every other week. They should always be fed with tongs. Do not feed your snake if they are in shed. You will know they are in shed by a blue coating over their eyes.

Handling

Ball pythons almost always take well to handling and depending on the temperament of the snake can even enjoy it. It's best to tap train them which involves taking a paper towel roll or something extended from the hand beside the feeding tongs and tapping the snake every time it's taken out to be handled. This helps let the snake know that it is not being fed. It is important to pay attention to the snake's body language. If it seems stressed (tensing, bucking, heavy breathing) you should return it to its enclosure. A happy snake will have slow tongue flicks. A ball python (this depends on the snake but as a rule) should only be handled once daily for about an hour. You should not handle the snake for a few days before or after feeding it as this can cause it to go off food or regurgitate respectively. You should not handle your snake if they are in shed unless they have stuck shed. There are multiple ways to remove stuck shed including placing the snake in warm water or placing a warm wet towel on the snake.

Difficulties

Ball pythons are an incredibly popular snake. This unfortunately leads to a lot of mishandling. Snakes are kept in enclosures much too small with much too few hiding spaces. An adult ball python requires an enclosure that's at least 4x2x2 feet. Ball pythons tend to be very picky eaters. There are many reasons that they may go off food including improper enclosure conditions, handling before meal time, shed, and you look at them wrong. Feeding live is a controversial topic in snake keeping though I'm personally against it as it can be incredibly dangerous for the snake.

In snake breeding, there are several morphs associated with neurological issues including any spider, bee, champagne, spotnose, and woma morphs. These morphs are intrinsically linked with what is known as the wobble. The wobble is a neurological condition that can cause a snake to have difficulty keeping itself upright. It may lift its upper body so far that it falls back on itself (stargazing) and it may also turn its head in circles multiple times (corkscrewing). These behaviors create an incredibly stressful life for the snake.

Common conditions include:

Mouth Rot: an infection of the mouth that can be noticed by white or red puss in the mouth

Parasites: Internal parasites are often hard to spot but general unwellness (regurgitation, diarrhea, infection) in the snake should warrant a visit to the vet

Ticks and Mites: They can be hard to spot sometimes, especially with a dark or spotted snake but lifting up the snake's scales can reveal them attached to the skin

Skin Infection: It can be caused by an enclosure that is dirty or too moist and is noticed by red skin and blisters

Respiratory Infections: They can be noticed if a snake is blowing bubbles with their nose, yawning frequently not after a meal, wheezing, and gurgling sounds Inclusion

Body Disease: This is a viral disease that affects the nervous system. It demonstrates itself through the snake being unable to right itself and often paralyzation. This condition is usually fatal.

i only lost 1lb…in three days, i’ve only lost a pound…after a liquid fast and sh*tting my brains out the night before, i only lost one singular pound…“all weight loss is good weight loss” blah blah blah—don’t get me wrong i’d rather lose 1lb than gain 1lb but still :/ was really hoping i’d wake up to being out of the 200s this morning :( i only have myself to blame though—between my 2k cal binge the other night and my lack of exercise no wonder i’m still a whale 😭 what did i expect? my binge to ✨magically✨ shock my metabolism into shedding the last 3lbs???…yes…yes i did BUT I DIGRESS…

on top of that, as if i hadn’t learned my lesson earlier, my max cal intake for today was supposed to be 900 cals yet one pint of halo top ice cream later i ended up just a bit over 1,000 cals…WHEN WILL I LEARN THAT MY ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES?! but in my defense, i fully blame my appetite suppressants (i know it sounds contradictory but follow me)—those little white pills are nothing shy of five shots of espresso in my eyes—i could pull three all-nighters in a row off of one singular pill alone if i wanted to, and do you know what staying up until the ass crack of dawn means for me?? constant midnight snacking that’s what! if i could manage to go to sleep at a decent hour like a normal functioning human being instead of this nocturnal creature i’ve somehow morphed into i would probably never binge again!!! everyday i fight the urge to start b/p’ing again and everyday i get weaker and weaker…i just want to be skinny, is that too much to ask for?
