This savory tart has caramelized onions, crispy bacon, and tangy blue cheese on top of a flaky puff pastry crust. It's the perfect mix of flavors.
Ingredients: 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed. 2 large onions, thinly sliced. 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled. 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar. 1 teaspoon brown sugar. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 400F 200C. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add thinly sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 20-25 minutes. Stir in balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, then remove from heat. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to fit a baking sheet. Place the rolled-out pastry on the baking sheet. Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the puff pastry. Sprinkle crumbled bacon and blue cheese over the caramelized onions. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!

These delightfully flavored and creamy vegetable tarts are simple to make using frozen, tiny tart shells. They taste great in the summer because they are made with sweet onion, bell pepper, and asparagus. Serve them as a tasty appetizer or a quick and simple main course with a green salad.
