"I don't really give a damn about the way you touch me when we're alone"
"You're ashamed of me." Remus' voice is barely there but it's cold and unfamiliar. Sirius stops in the corridor and all of a sudden it's darker, the scars on Remus' skin glimmer in the low light. No one wrote a book on this, because if they did, Sirius would know. All that occupies his mind is this condition. It feels like a restraint around him, like a tough pill to swallow. Sirius still sees Remus, he still sees the quiet moments they've shared, he still feels his hands on his skin. What he can't help, however, is seeing his shadow in the shape of a wolf.
"You can hold my hand if no one's home."
Sirius reaches for his hand yet Remus makes no move towards him. "I could say the same to you. But I don't. I won't." He's still, illuminated in the lamp light, breathing heavily. “Only one of us is a monster, Remus. And it’s not you.” Rationally, Sirius knows the moon is only days away, that this is so much harder for Remus than it would ever be for him. This time it hangs over both of them. Remus’ footsteps echo away from Sirius. Sirius can’t help but feel like it’s unfair.
"Do you like it when I'm away?"
Sirius feels on edge the whole of the full moon. He sits by the window the whole night, praying for a glimpse or a howl. Something, anything to indicate that Remus, his Remus, was okay. He knows it’s one night. One night, twelve times a year. The condensation from his breath pearls on the glass, illuminated by the moonlight. Sirius feels like the moon is mocking him - I’ll always have him in a way you never will. And Sirius should feel guilty. He really should. But Remus is his, wolf be damned.
"If I went and hurt my body, baby, would you love me the same?"
Sirius wakes up at sunrise. He doesn’t know when he drifted off to sleep but he knows Remus will be back. So he runs. Remus is asleep, caressed by soft sheets he knows Madam Pomfrey has transfigured. He’s lightly bruised and a stitched up laceration graces his left forearm. Sirius can’t help but think he’s beautiful. Sirius always thinks Remus is beautiful. Radiant. Like the moon. He crawls into the bed, jostling Remus awake. He blinks slowly up at the other boy. Sirius holds his breath. Remus concedes. He always does with Sirius. He pulls him in by the waist, and they sleep. Silly boy. He thinks this is what he wants, but he does not understand how it will hurt.

"Does this outfit look okay?" Y/N asked her friend as she checked herself out in the mirror
A taller brunette sitting on her bed looked up from her book. She put her book down walking up to the mirror "You look great, I promise. Don't worry, I know he'll say yes" her friend assured her.
"What if he doesn't?" Y/N questioned nervously, her heart had been racing all morning. Today she was going to ask out Sirius Black, they aren't the closest friends but they talk a few times a week. She's had the biggest crush on him since they first met first year in defense against the dark arts.
"Then it's his loss, dear." She said as she fixed the collar of Y/n's shirt. "Now c'mon, Mcgonagall will kill us if we're late again." Y/N grabbed her bag and headed out the door behind her friend.
She had put off doing this for so long because she was scared he wouldn't like her back. Sirius was notorious for only dating the most popular girls in school. Y/N wasn't popular but she was known around school. She didn't come from money and she didn't like how people were treated differently because of their social status. She tried her best to treat everyone the same way no matter what.
6th year is almost over and she can't keep waiting for him to say something. She has to get over her fears and go for it, she won't let the fear control her anymore.
-
She had been waiting all day for this moment, she and Sirius only shared one class. Potions, the last class of the day. She had been on edge all-day hundreds of scenarios playing in her head, everything that could go wrong. Pushing all those nerves down, she walked into the classroom. A few students were scattered around the class, she tried to get there as early as she could. Much to her surprise, the Marauders were already in the classroom.
They were normally some of the last people to show up, She wasn't sure why they were there so early. She walked over to her table and sat her bag down. She hesitated walking over to him, everything in her said don't do it. She argued with the voice in her head, she had to do it now or it would never happen.
She took a deep breath before heading toward their table, keeping her head high as she was afraid if she looked down she would trip. The four boys were in a conversation it must've not been that important because once she arrived at the table all their attention was on her. It was nerve-racking but she kept a smile on her face trying to act as natural as possible.
"Hey Y/N/N, how are you today?" Remus asked
"I'm doing just fine, thanks" she smiled at the boy, she really wanted to get this over with
"Sirius?" She asked
"Yes?" The longer-haired boy looked up from the paper he was doodling on, a small smile played across his lips.
Oh my, he's beautiful she thought to herself, shaking that thought from her head she continued the conversation
"Can I talk to you for a sec?" her voice steady
"Um sure, love" he hesitated at first, he stood from his stool and followed her to a more quiet part of the class
The remaining boys gave each other questioning looks. Anytime Sirius ever spoke to Y/N the other boys were around so it was odd for them to be on their own.
The two stood there in silence for what felt like an eternity, just looking at each other. Y/N's mind had gone blank, she didn't think she'd get this far.
"Did you need something?" Sirius asked pulling her out of her trance
"Huh? OH, yeah" She fidgeted with her ring as she prepared herself for what she was about to say. "I was wondering, would you like to go out this weekend... like a date" she made it through without stuttering, an awkward smile on her face poorly masking her nerves
Sirius' eyes slightly widened, he didn't expect Y/N to be this straightforward.
Y/N's heart was racing in her ears as she waited for his response. Her smile faded quickly as he spoke
"Y/N I'm sorry, but we're just friends. I hope I didn't lead you to believe differently. I'm sorry" he said with a pitied look
Her heart broke, the worst thing that could happen just happened. She had to get out of this situation fast.
"Oh, don't worry about it. I get it, sorry to bother you." She walked off before he could speak again
James noticed her change in body language as she went back to her table. Sirius rejoined the boys and didn't say anything about what happened, he just went back to scribbling on his paper.
-
Later that night at dinner, the boys were in their usual seats eating while talking about random topics. James looked around the room and noticed Y/N wasn't in her usual spot. He took this opportunity to ask his friend what happened earlier
"Mate" he nudged Sirius with his shoulder getting his attention
"hm?" he responded as he had food in his mouth
"What happened today with Y/N?" he asked casually
He swallowed before speaking "She asked me out" he said nonchalantly
This caused the others to freeze in place, they looked around at each other seeing who will speak first.
"What did you tell her?" Peter spoke up
"I said no"
"WHAT?" the three said in unison
"What? She's not my type" Sirius explained
"Sirius, are you joking? That girl has been in love with you for ages, we all know you're perfect for each other" James looked at his friend like he was crazy
"No, she hasn't. I just don't think we'd be a good fit together, she's not really what I go for" He didn't want to hurt her feelings but he just didn't think she met what he wanted. Honestly, he didn't know what he wanted. He knew he was an attractive person and he knew that girls were attracted to him. As much as he hated sticking to the status quo, he seemed to always go for the girls who fit the beauty standard.
"Not your type? what, pretty and stupid?" Remus scoffed
"Hey I'm not saying Y/N's not pretty it's just, I don't think what people will think about me if we were together" he defended himself
"Aright, it's your life" James concluded before they went back to their original conversation

June 30th, 1978
The last day of school, 7th year.
Y/N was packing her trunk for the last time before she left Hogwarts, as much as she loved the place she was excited to start her future. The last year had been fairly normal, she had taken the year to get over Sirius. She thought she was silly for even entertaining the idea that they could ever be together. She knew how he was and just ignored it. It kinda helped that he hadn't spoken to her since the previous year.
She knew it was for the best, if she didn't worry about some dumb boy she could focus on who she was going to be in life. She planned on going to a muggle university as her mother did and study law.
She gave one last look at her dorm, where she spent the last seven years of her life. She casted a spell to have her trunk follow behind her as she left her room for the last time. Walking out of her common room passing all the other students who were saying goodbyes and excited for summer.
She walked down the grand staircase, dropping her trunk off with the others before heading to the train platform. She found a group of her close friends amongst the sea of students who are waiting to get on the Hogwarts express. They walked onto the train that was filled with kids who were excited to go home, finding the compartment they'd sat in for years as they talked about what they wanted to do over the summer.
-
The train ride went faster than she had hoped, she didn't when she would see her friends again. Getting off the train she saw kids reunite with their families, hugs, and smiles could be seen all over the platform. Y/N's parents always waited for her in the muggle part of the station, they didn't like running into people from their school days.
She gathers all her belongings and says her last goodbyes to her friends before heading to the portal. Pushing her trolly through the crowd, careful not to hit anyone's ankle she focused on making it off of the platform. She could see the red sign was a few feet away when a hang gently grasped her shoulder. She stopped in her tracks and turned to see who it was
"Y/N, I've been calling you," The boy said with a small smile, it was Sirius
"Sorry, I didn't hear you" She apologized, the situation was a little tense. They only spoke a few times since that day in potions class
"I wanted to talk to you before we left school but I couldn't find you" he started, Y/N didn't respond allowing him to continue. "I was thinking maybe you and I could hang out this summer, I don't know maybe go on a date or something," he said as nervously rubbed the back of his neck
Y/N couldn't help but give him a confused look, she had no idea why he was asking this now. "What? Where did all of this come from?"  She asked moving her cart to the side to get out of people's way. He followed closely behind her as he continued the conversation
"I've been thinking about it all year, I was wrong to tell you that I didn't want to go out. Honestly, I wasn't thinking clearly, I'm sorry"  He didn't want to go into too much detail on how much he'd actually been thinking about her.
He thought about her every day since she asked him out. He always thought she was cool, she was funny and kind and smart and she was always there for her friends he had only thought of her as a friend. Most of his relationships didn't last longer than three months so he never thought about what he'd want in a long-time partner.
Over the course of his 7th year, he thought about it more and when he did, the more Y/N checked off the boxes. His friends were right, she was perfect for him. He didn't realize that until recently and he was afraid he was too late but he had to ask anyway.
Y/N didn't know what to think, she had spent so long trying to get over him, and all of a sudden he was interested in her. She was quite irritated, why would he think she would be available for him whenever he wanted. She wasn't going to let that happen.
"Sirius, I honestly don't know what to say but I think it's best we don't see each other." She said calmly
"Why not?" It wasn't rare for him to hear 'no', it stung more coming from her mouth.
"I've spent so much time getting over you and you show up out of the blue with this offer. I'm sorry Sirius but it's not going to happen" she needed to get out of there as fast as possible, if she stayed another minute she was afraid she'd change her mind. She began pushing her cart back toward the entrance, before she got too far she turned around watching his face as he processed what happened. "Have a nice summer, Sirius"
She turned back around moving forward, he watched her get lost in the crowd.

Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry cordially invites you to the Class of 78's 10-year reunion! The Hogwarts Express leaves at 11 am, 1 July
The letter in Sirius' hands was slightly crumbled as had just dug it out of the bin. He received it last week and didn't know if he should go or not, he wasn't in the mood to interact with his old classmates. The last ten years have been rocky for Sirius. After leaving school, he traveled the world because it was something he always wanted to do. While he was in Germany he met a muggle woman and he fell for her quickly.
He had never been happier, their relationship moved very fast they were married within six months. It was going great for a while, he was still traveling but she wanted more. She asked him multiple times to move to Germany with her and start a family. It took a while for him to agree to this. A year into the marriage he moved to Germany to settle down, he got a job and was happy.
Over the course of the next five years, his marriage started to deteriorate, for some reason he and his wife couldn't have a child and she started to resent him for that. He tried everything he could to make her happy, he turned into a completely different person and it still wasn't enough. Finally, when he was tired of being in a loveless marriage he left and moved back to London.
His divorce was finalized four months ago, he's doing better now. He's happy to be home and close to his mates, James had gotten Lily to agree to marry him and they have a young boy. Remus finally got the chance to become a teacher like he always wanted, and peter is living a happy quiet life in the country.
Things were finally good.
He still didn't want to go to this reunion, having everyone ask what he had been up to for the past ten years wasn't his favorite conversation. But after a lot of convincing from James, he gave in.
He had a small carry-on in his hand as he walked out of his small flat and set off to King Cross where he would meet his friends. He just wanted to get this weekend over with.
-
When Y/N arrived at Kings Cross, she was excited to go back in time. She hadn't thought much about her years at the school since she left. She did exactly what she planned, she went to school and became a lawyer. A damn good one at that, she hasn't lost a case since she started her own firm. She was doing pretty good for herself.
She wasn't married, she had been single for a few years because of how busy her schedule was. None of her partners understood why she couldn't always be around. This caused a lot of distance in her relationships so she figured it was best just to ride solo for a while.
She had recently reconnected with her friend group from school, and they all talked about their lives. Some of them had kids and were married, Y/N felt a little sad that she couldn't brag about an amazing husband. She had always wondered what it would be like if she had settled down after school like everyone else, but she remembers how happy she has made herself. Maybe one day she'll find "the one".
Right now she and three of her old friends are sitting in the same compartment they did all those years ago. Slightly gossiping about everyone they've seen so far, everyone has changed so much. She was nervous about going, Hogwarts brings back so many memories all the good and the bad.
She forgot how long that train ride was, she found herself growing tired just a few hours in. She decided to take a nap so she would be refreshed when they got there.
-
When they finally arrived, everyone was eager to get off the train. Y/N had woken up an hour prior to arriving so she was ready to go. She stood from the bench seat and walked out of the compartment, her friends following close behind. Y/N followed the crowd off of the train, on the platform stood a very tall man, it felt just it did on her very first day at school.
"Welcome back to Hogwarts Class of '78, we have all missed you very much! Please make your way down to the boats." Hagrid's deep voice rang out
The now adults made their way down to the lake the same way they did when they were 11. Groups of four climbed into the boats and magically floated their way done the lake. The scene was just as beautiful as Y/N remembered.
Once everyone was off the boats everyone knew where to go, it was like muscle memory. Nothing about the castle had changed, it was beautifully lit up by torches along the corridors. The walls had been decorated with magical pictures of all of the students throughout their time at Hogwarts.
It made Y/N feel like she was a teenager again when all she had to worry about was turning in an assignment on time. Staying amongst her friend group they walked into the great hall which was always breathtaking. The ceiling was enchanted to look like the night sky, lit candles floated in the air lighting up the room. The floor was decorated similar to when they would have a dance, all the long tables were gone and replaced with smaller round ones decorated with soft table cloths.
There were snack tables on both sides of the room, everyone scattered around looking at all the nostalgic decorations. Y/N's friends had already found a table and sat down, when she arrived at the table her friends were whispering. Gossip.
"What are you guys talking about?" she asked taking a seat at the table
"Look over there, dear. Isn't that Sirius Black?" One of them said while pointing to a table across the room
Sirius Black. That was a name Y/N hadn't heard in years. She slowly turned her head so it wasn't obvious they were talking about him. When she finally found him, his eyes were already on her. This made her look away quickly, a wave of adrenaline washed over her. She hadn't felt that since the last day she saw him.
All of her memories of him came flooding in all at once, all the laughs and test answers they shared. The most prominent memory was him rejecting her. It didn't hurt as bad as it did back then, of course, it sucks to be rejected but she got over it. She realized how juvenile it was to think about what could've been but she couldn't help but wonder what it would be like if they ever were together.
She shook the thoughts from her head, no, tonight we're in the moment. She thought to herself, she was going to enjoy herself this weekend.
A loud familiar voice filled the great hall causing everyone to look at the front of the room. Dumbledore stood at his podium as he always did when he gave a speech.
"Good evening class of '78, it's so wonderful to see all your faces again! Even though you're all grown up now, to me I still know you as the young kids running around the castle. Please enjoy yourself tonight, catch up enjoy the refreshments and live music. I shall be walking around to hear all of your adventures beyond this campus."
As soon as he stopped speaking a band started playing all the wizard music hits from their time at Hogwarts.
-
On the other side of the room, Sirius black is sitting at a table with his best mates. James hadn't shut up about how much he missed the school, Sirius tried his best to match his enthusiasm but he couldn't. Since he got there, he heard at least four different people talking about his divorce.
He noticed Y/N the second she walked in the door, she was absolutely beautiful. He always knew she was beautiful but seeing her in this place was like a breath of fresh air. He had to talk to her tonight, he had to know what she'd been doing all those years.
As the night progressed, Sirius kept finding himself stealing glances with Y/N. He watched her dance with her friends, he saw her talking to old teachers, he didn't know what happened to all the confidence he once had because he couldn't go up to her.
James had noticed his behavior, no matter what Sirius said he knew he never got over her.
"Sirius mate, just go talk to her," he said pulling his friend out of his thoughts "She probably forgot about everything that happened, go say hello"
"I don't know" Sirius sighed "What if she's married?"
"She's not" Lily, James' wife chimed in
"How do you know?" Sirius challenged
"Because I talked to her, now stop moping and go" the redhead demanded
"James, you're wife is very mean" he said as he stood from the table
"I know" James smiled kissing her on the cheek
Y/N was sitting at her table hydrating after dancing, her back was turned away from the crowd so she didn't see Sirius come up to her.
He tapped her shoulder causing her to lightly jump, when she turned around she was met with an older version of the boy she once knew.
"Hi" He greeted with a large smile
"Sirius, how are you?" she matched his grin
"I'm good, do you mind if I sit?" he asked pointing to the empty chair next to her
"Sure, go ahead"
Sirius sat down on the white chair, he didn't say anything for a few seconds before picking up the conversation
"So what've you been up to? It's been ages since I last saw you"
"Nothing much really, once I left school I went to law school now I have my own law firm," she said with no excitement because it was the twenty-something time she said it tonight.
"A lawyer? Wow, that's amazing!" He was so glad she was doing well in life, better than he was.
"It's not that great, it's a lot of work" she laughed "What about you? What've you been doing the last 10 years?"
He paused, he didn't want to lie and say it was great but he didn't want to ruin the moment. "It's been quite interesting actually" he nervously played with his fingers "I traveled for a while after graduating, then I got married and moved to Germany"
Married, great. She thought
"You live in Germany? That's so cool" she replied
"No no, not anymore" he laughed "I moved back to London when my wife and I spilt" he explained
"Oh" Y/N let slip "I'm sorry, I hope you're doing alright" she offered
"I am, thanks. I'm actually pretty happy right now" he smiled
For the next hour or so they talked about everything they could. It felt like they never lost that time, they felt as if they were still those friends in school. Somewhere through the hour, they migrated to the dance floor. They were a respectable amount of distance apart, Sirius' hands were on her waist, her arms loosely wrapped around his shoulders. they  continued their conversation as they danced
"Y/N, can I be honest with you?" Sirius asked randomly
"Go for it" she said as she swayed to the music
"I honestly don't know why I ever let you go"
She stopped dancing, she scanned his face for any sign that he was lying
"Sirius that was years ago, it's okay" she laughed lightly
"I know I know, I just wish I had gone on that date with you" he smirked
Y/N thought for a minute, maybe this was her chance to see what could've been
"Well, you can always go on a date with me now"
"Really?" he was taken aback that she would say that
"Yeah, why not? You can finally see what you had missed out on all those years ago" she teased
"Let's go then" he said grabbing her hand and running out of the great hall
They went through all the corridors and all the unlocked classrooms reminiscing on their days at the school. At the end of their self-guided tour, they ended up at the top of the astronomy tower.
"This place always had the best view" Y/N said as she stood next to Sirius at the railing looking out at the night sky
"Yeah, it does" Sirius agreed, but he wasn't talking about the stars. He moved slightly closer to her, close enough to where their arms touched. "I'm glad I got to see you again" he said softly
"I am too," she said looking into his eyes
"Maybe when we go home, I can take you on a proper date" Sirius suggested
"I'd like that" Y/N smiled softly, she couldn't help but flicker her eyes down to his lips.
He noticed. He leaned in closer, their noses softly brushed against each other. Right as their lips were about to connect, a loud cough could be heard causing the two to pull away.
"Mr. Black, Ms. L/N it's past curfew" Dumbledore started "Please see your way back to your dorms"
"Yes professor" They said, sounding like children who got caught doing something they weren't supposed to. They both hurried their way down the large staircase, a little out of breath but they were out of Dumbledore's view.
"Now, where were we?" Sirius asked as he gripped Y/N's waist pulling her in for a passionate kiss.

HI oh my goodness i just flashed through ur entire page (its LOVELY writing) and i desperately need more!! I noticed the lack of Remus request so here i am B)
OKAY could I request plot for before remus and the reader are together? Like how they came to be ^^ mm maybe like "coincidentally" him running into her at her favorite bookstore or coffee shop (ITS CLICHE IM SORRY BUT I LOVE THESE LOCATIONS) until he finally asks her on a date !! (and maybe his friends spying on him just becuase hehe)
thank uu
HELLO I appreciate the support and there definitely is a lack of Remus. It’s cliche BUT CUTE! thank you for the request babe!!
“But I can’t just.. talk to her.”
“Why not?” James deflates. “Girls love that!”
They sit at a tiny table, in a tiny bookshop, in an even tinier cafe built in. The air crackles with cedar wood and vanilla, swirling around his hazy mind. It’s cozy and intimate but he has no place to put his legs, he sits awkwardly, leg bouncing anxiously. It accidentally hits the table. Sirius flinches from his mug.
“I’ll scare her.”
“Well then,” Sirius stirs his coffee. “don’t be weird.”
They came to study- or rather Remus came to study and his shadows came along. It’d been fine at first, computer out, a quiet Sirius. But Sirius has never had the patience to play quiet for long, especially when James is near.
“Maybe I’ll just leave it..” Remus murmurs.
Two voices shout at him. “No!”
Remus flinches mouthing sorry to the people around him. Sorry students he’d burdened with his rowdy friends. Hands to a sticky table, he pushes up. “M’Kay, I’m going.”
His feet feel heavy. He wants to do this, he wants your number, but god he doesn’t want to do this. Rejection is enough, but rejection in front of his two best friends? Looking back at his table, James encourages him. Two thumbs up and a hopeful face.
“Oh, shit!”
He’s crashed into you.
“Oh,” you startle, stumbling.
James and Sirius sink into their seats behind you. “Wow.”
Remus stabilizes you. “M’so sorry.”
“It’s okay,” he cuts you off.
“No seriously, shit, I’m sorry.”
You laugh, high and sweet. “I’m fine. At least there wasn’t coffee.”
“Has that happened?”
“Yes,” you breathe a laugh, dusting off your pants nervously. “before an interview.”
“That’s awful.” He’s genuine.
“It was kinda,” you ease. “they weren’t nearly as nice or attractive as you.”
He swallows. He thinks your pretty, very pretty. His eyes catch on your lips, your eyelashes. That’s a weird thing to notice, right? Eyelashes? He’s usually smoother than this, he wishes he was smoother than this. He’s embarrassed.
You flatten over his doubts like you can read his mind. “I’m clumsy, we can say this was my fault.”
“Noble.”
You shrug. “It’s not far from the truth.”
“Not very chivalrous of me.” He laughs a little.
“It’s okay,” you’re comforting, he likes that. “Did you need something over here?”
He scratches his neck, speaking before he can himself.
“Do you wanna,” he doesn’t know what to say. He started the sentence and backed out too late, but you stand there with patient eyes. He swallows a whine. “I’m usually a lot smoother than this, yanno?”
You laugh unabashed. “It’s okay.”
“Falling on you like a building threw me off, I’m sorry.”
“Let’s start over?” You ask. “What’s your name?”
“Remus.” He sounds a little more confident. “I was over there,” he points to James and Sirius who wave. “and I thought you were pretty, would you wanna get drinks sometime?”
You hold back a laugh at the formality of it all. “Yes, do you have a cell?”
“Yes.” He breathes, pulling out his small phone decidedly. He doesn’t rarely use it, ‘cept for plans. Skipping past texts from James, Sirius, Lily.. etc, he opens the little contacts icon. He doesn’t ignore them purposely, he just prefers to call.
“Here,” you smile, taking the phone from him gently. “this is where you can reach me if you want to buy me another cookie.”
He looks down, he hadn’t noticed the fallen treat.
“Don’t” you start firmly with an easy smile. “say sorry.”
He laughs, holding back another sorry. “I’m free tomorrow.”
“Perfect.” you reach down to point at the pen in his pocket. “Can I see that?”
He nods, pulling out the pen for you. It’d been abandoned at the same time he’d realized studying was no hope. His fingers brush against yours as he gives it to you, but you don’t let his hand far. Gently grabbing it, you look up at his confused eyebrows for a confirmation. A gentle can I?
“Oh,” he breathes, nodding. “go ahead.”
You take the pen to his skin and work the ballpoint over the rough surface. The ink bleeds into him as you write the address. You notice his scars, jagged deep tissue, and ignore them. His ears heat up. “Really good drinks here,” you explain “and next to a bakery.”
A laugh stumbles out of his lips before he can stop it and you look up to grin. “Noted.”
Letting his hand go, you watch him bring the scribble up to his eyes to read it. It’s messy but he thinks that has something to do with his scars rather than you.
“Time?” Remus asks, and you grab his hand again, writing a messy 8PM under your other ink marks. “I’ll uh see you there.”
“Perfect.”
He turns to walk, almost immediately turning back and grabbing your arm quickly. “Wait, what’s your name.”
“Y/N.”
“Remus.”
“I know.” You laugh.
He knows you’re not laughing at him, but he cringes anyway as he walks back, heavy with embarrassment, triumphant with the thrill of a date. the boys pat his back when he sits down.
“Poor thing.” Sirius consoles.
James scoffs. “He got the date!”
“But still,” Sirius sulks. “that was embarrassing.”
Remus glares. “Thanks.”
“Well go on,” James starts. “show us the writing.”
Remus sticks out his hand for the boys to see. They hum mildly, looking at him with approval. “Nice bar.” Sirius nods.
“Next to a bakery.” James affirms.
“I, uh,” Remus scratches the back of his neck. “made her drop her cookie.”
“You dickhead.” Sirius laughs.
“I didn’t mean to!”
He slumps in his chair as James hits Sirius. They argue, petulantly and boyish, and Remus looks away. You stand at the register buying a book he doesn’t remember you holding when he’d knocked into you. Smiling at the cashier you grab your change and the bag of goods you bought. He feels weird watching. This has got to be weird, right? But as you walk out, you glance to him, lifting your hand up to your ear during the doorbell chime.
Call me.

Lyall was canonly a bigoted Ravenclaw they most likely kept in touch after hogwarts!!! YALL wheres the fic where no one knows that lyall married a muggle so he and Remus has to hide it similar how people have to hide certain aspects of themselves from their peers for fear of social rejection???? Then theres a time where Sirius/reg scares the shit out of remus when they say some omunious shit how "they know" and "dont mind" and "wont tell" and its just about his mom is a muggle???

Today's @wolfstarmicrofic prompt is unrequited!
(936 words.)
"Oh, just fuck right off!" Sirius snaps, grip tightening on his butterbeer.
"God, what's gotten into you?" Marlene asks, arching an eyebrow. To be perfectly honest, Sirius doesn't want to talk about it.
James is more than happy to, though.
"Don't worry about him. He's all pissy because of his unrequited love." Sirius' head immediately snaps up, alarmed.
"Prongs," He says, warning. His eyes almost involuntarily dart to Remus for half a second, panic seeping through him. James, however, is teetering on the line between tipsy and drunk, completely missing the hint.
"Mm, completely hung up on some girl, right?" Peter chimes in, and Sirius almost wants to laugh. The urge to drop dead is much stronger, though. To crawl into a hole and say there until this conversation ends.
"Something like that," Sirius says quickly, before turning away from them both. Fingers crossed, he can just shut this down. "Hey, Lily, that potions essay..."
Unfortunately for him, Lily seems just as invested.
"How do you know it's unrequited?" She asks curiously. Remus lifts his head, then, nose out of his book. For some reason, that's what tips him over the edge. He needs everyone to stop. This is difficult enough.
"Because I asked, okay?" He says hurriedly. It causes his friends to lapse into silence, but it's like he's just burst a dam. The explanation starts before he can hold it back. "I asked, and they said no. They said it was a bad idea, we were too close for that."
"Huh," Mary hums.
"What?" Sirius asks with a frown.
"They didn't say they don't like you?" Mary asks, and it really throws Sirius. He hasn't considered that.
"No, not exactly," He muses, frowning. "But why would anyone reject someone they like?"
"Maybe they were scared of ruining the friendship you two have," Remus speaks up gently, almost inaudibly from across the common room; capturing Sirius' attention in less than a second.
"That makes no sense," Sirius says without missing a beat, eyes locking with Remus. "They should know me well enough to know that I wouldn't let that happen. I know they wouldn't. We've survived worse."
From the corner of his eye, he can see confusion flit across James' face at that comment. Yeah, it was a bit of a risky thing to say. He's practically handing James the truth. It doesn't matter, though. Not right now. His eyes are fixed on Remus.
"Depends on what you think is worse. They might be worried about a messy breakup getting in the way."
"No, that can't be it," He says, imploring. The longing to see into Remus' mind, figure out what he means is too strong. He'll have to unravel it this way instead. "If they're already thinking about a breakup, then clearly they don't like me that much. Unrequited." He wants nothing more than to drop the matter now that he's proven his point to himself. Maybe he doesn't need to see inside Remus' mind. He goes to down the rest of his drink, but Remus is shaking his head, and Sirius is losing sight of everyone else in favour of Remus.
"Or they just care too much about you." There's something in Remus' eyes, an ache that Sirius wants to heal.
"Really? Why would they reject me when I told them how I feel, then?!" Sirius asks desperately. It seems to snap Remus' resolve, burst his ambigious speech.
"Because I'm in love with you, Sirius! Okay?! Christ, this isn't just some- some joke, or some experiment to me! You looked me in the eye and told me you liked me, and that- that made me hope, okay? I don't want to hope. To think that you liking me means you'll fall in love with me. I mean," He releases a breathy laugh, seemingly unaware to the way Sirius' world is turning on it's axis, "I'm me, and you're- you're perfect."
He seems to have reached the end of his tangent, pattering out as everyone looks between the two of them, stunned. Sirius searches his brain, which may or may not be short circuiting, for some way to voice his thoughts. There are so many things he could say, so many ways to tell Remus everything, but none of them seem to be enough. Enough to encompass everything. A better solution comes to him as his yearning overwhelms him.
With that, he sets his butterbeer down and crosses the common room. Remus' eyes widen, suddenly unsure, until Sirius pulls himself into Remus' armchair, facing him. He reaches out, pressing a hand against Remus' cheek and finally, finally connecting their lips. It's everything he could have imagined and more.
Remus' lips are soft, warm against his, overwhelmingly perfect, and making Sirius desperate to stay there forever, mapping out every inch of Remus' mouth, the way it fits against his like they should have been doing this forever. It's a feeling Sirius knows he's never going to forget, causing the words he has been desperately repressing for years bubbling up inside him.
"I love you," Sirius murmurs against Remus' lips after a moment. "I love you so much, Moony."
Their eyes meet again, Sirius watching as Remus' eyes go from searching to joyful, a grin splitting across his face. It took a whooping cheer from James to break the spell that Remus' eyes got him in. They both turn to their friends, a laugh escaping Sirius as he drops his head into Remus' shoulder.
"Thank fuck that's sorted, then!" Lily says brightly, a wry smile on her face.
Okay, Sirius is really grateful for his oversharing friends.

My Remus Lupin headcanons
Remus is the most empathetic one of the group, often considering if the prank can affect someone, let it be physically or emotionally
Remus has the coziest sweaters for the colder time of the year
Additionally, Rem’s soft spot is seeing you in his clothes, especially his cozy sweaters
He loves reading while you’re sleeping next to him, or cuddling with him. Just you laying on his chest, or softly playing with his hair makes his reading sessions ten times better
This man often prefers tea over coffee. A good green tea usually gets him set up for a long day of classes and studying.
Under pressure Remus self isolates a lot, due to the guilt of burdening others with his problems
If he snaps at someone, he will immediately regret it
Remus is a very sweet guy, that is way too shy to just go up to a girl he fancy’s like Sirius
Remus stayed away from dating for ages, as he thinks he will only burden his partner with him being a werewolf
When Remus has a crush he’ll just stare at them. Sirius and then James will make some comments about him ogling them, which Remus will instantly deny (he’ll still blush a bit though :3)
Despite being the rather quiet one in the group he will not hesitate to call Sirius and James out on their behaviour. Especially after a prank gone wrong he’ll make sure to grinningly add an ”if it isn’t the consequences of my own actions” to the conversation, to which the others scoff in annoyance
The marauders only call him Moony, so his partner calling him Rem, Remmy or even just Remus will startle him at first. Nonetheless,, because only their partner does it, Remus is very endeared by it
Remus is the type of partner to randomly leave some “just because” flowers on your dorm bed, sometimes even with a note
His partner will definitely be the first to say I love you, as he is too scared and hesitant to set himself up for this potential rejection
Remus smells like old books and dark chocolate, which is very calming for some reason
Remus has nightmares about hurting or even murdering one of his friends or his partner when he is a werewolf. His night terrors wake him up with tears in his eyes. You are the only one that can calm him down after some physical affection
Rem’s nightmares have started to gradually decrease since he’s sleeping in one bed with you
Let me know if you’d like some more headcanons of Remus, and feel free to send me some prompts about Remus and the other marauders <3

Rick is known to mirror myths a lot (Silena-Clarisse and Patroclus-Achilles, Polyphemus' cave, Hercules' labors, etc) He could and SHOULD have mirrored the Trojan war in HOO.
Let me set the scene. Gaea doesn't pop up until the last couple books. It's easy to be scared of something that is mentioned but not seen, which in my opinion, is why Gaea in the HOO books just wasn't scary enough.
So the antagonists in the first few books are the Giants working under Gaea's orders. Percy is kidnapped by them and given to the Romans in the hope that the Greeks and the Romans will go batshit crazy in a fight and forget all about the prophecy of the seven and destroying Gaea or whatever.
Camp Halfblood is fully ready for war. As soon as they find out (through an oracle or smth idk) that the Romans exist and they have Percy, not even Chiron can stop them. Percy is the hero of the Battle of Manhattan, of course, and the hero mentioned in the last great prophecy. He's like their modern Aristos Achaion.
Meanwhile, the Romans have no clue what's going on. There's this guy he's funny, he has no memories, he just shows up at their wolf goddess and trains and gets sent to them. Cool.
Juno can't stand to see New Rome be attacked. Whether or not they would win is a whole different story. So she plucks Jason from CJ and brings them to the Greeks just for some sort of a balance.
This mirrors the Trojan war in the sense that Troy was a fortified city, so is New Rome with tons of forts and walls. Aeneas' lineage went on to be Remus and Romulus, the founders of Rome. And Helen of Troy was stolen from the Greeks.
Anyway so there's that conflict, but at the same time Camp Halfblood is getting ready to attack, Jason, Piper and Leo get sent on a quest to rescue Hera who has been captured by Porphyrion and Enceladus.
On the way, Jason starts to regain his memory a little bit, though he doesn't know everything yet. He's still super conflicted with everything. A pretty girl thinks they were dating, Leo says they were best friends, Annabeth says the Romans are enemies. But whom should he really believe?
Piper's whole arc through the first book could be about how she's the daughter of the goddess of beauty, she wrongly assumes her fake crush on Jason was her mom's fault. And she's learned so much bad stuff about her mom from myths, she outright rejects feminity and anything remotely girly at first but then slowly she gets to know Aphrodite isn't as bad as some myths make her out to be. Bonding and shit bc why should Poseidon be the only present godly parent?
Leo, meanwhile, has no idea he can essentially fire bend in the first book. His arc could be about discovering his mother's death was his fault, slightly and coming to terms with it with the help of his friends.
Reyna on the Roman's side is freaking out bc Octavian wants to go to war with the Greeks who are close to attacking them, there's a strange dude who keeps trying to pick fights with gods, a horse girl and not to mention monsters won't fucking DIE.
SON trio go on their quest to Alaska to kill Alcyoneus/ release Thanatos and things are getting clearer to them as well. Just when the Greeks are about to attack on CJ, Polybotes and the monsters attack as well. Somehow, both sides end up fighting the monsters together.
They're not friends, but they're not enemies either, bc Percy is reunited with his gf and Jason is returned to his home.
The Roman senate and the Greeks somehow come to the same conclusions- that a quest needs to go to their ancient lands. Over the next few months the work of the Argo II commences.
Things seem smooth for a while. But Gaea grows restless. She poisons Octavian and manipulates him through dreams and stuff like Kronos did to Luke. As is the nature of most Roman emperors, Octavian overthrows Reyna and declares himself the leader of New Rome like his namesake Octavius Caesar. (HAHA! HISTORY PARALLEL BITCHES)
This puts the actual quest on hold bc the seven now need to find the Athena Parthenos to bring together the Greeks and the Romans and to stop Octavian's plan of trying to fuck as much shit up as possible.
Reyna, Nico and say idk, Grover, are the ones to deviate from the quest and bring the statue to USA again. But the Seven are still very much in Europe after rescuing Nico.
Percy and Annabeth fall into Tartarus which helps close the Doors of Death, except this time since Nico isn't there, Hazel has to take on control over ghosts and the dead in the House of Hades and leading up to it. The powers of mist, in my opinion, should have gone to Piper since charmspeaking is a lot like bending the mist verbally.
Piper's arc through the third and fourth book is starting to discover herself and with the help of her mother, figuring out she doesn't like Jason romantically like she thought she did.
Hazel's arc is gaining control over what she once was (dead). She's jealous her dad was there more for Nico than her, but she pushes past it and never lets her anger and grudges get the better of her which is like breaking boundaries for children of Hades/Pluto.
Frank's arc in HOH was really cool, I like that. So no change to that.
Jason, poor guy is still very much confused about everything really. He's used to being the leader, he feels lost in the large group. He has his moments to shine ofc (please take away his excess amounts of head injuries), but he starts to feel inferior, which is where Leo helps him bc the guy knows what that's like.
Anyway, in the absence of Percy and Annabeth, Jason has to take charge. He discovers he doesn't really like it. That's not what he was meant for even though he had greatness thrust upon him at a very young age.
His BOO arc is earlier this time and takes place throughout HOH and BOO. He's content with himself, even if he isn't with anyone. HE'S THE ONE THAT GETS SENT TO OGYGIA!!!
And Calypso eventually does fall for him bc he's smart, nice, and just an overall swell guy. But he helps her to realize that she can be content in herself as well. And he promises her that he'll help her.
Show me Leo, Jason and Percy trying to think of ways of helping the goddess.
In any case. BOO could have been like Iliad pt 2 also known as the Odyssey. It takes them the whole book just to get to Athens. Meanwhile, they've understood that Gaea is the main main villain. She's even raised some of the other primordials against them.
Percy and Annabeth already saw Tartarus, and then there's Oceanus who makes their travel much harder than necessary. Something something about how they get tossed all over the place and somehow manage to gather all the correct ingredients for the potion (i forgot the name lol) on their small adventures in the different places. In the end they finally make it to Athens. Except this time, there's only a few giants there bc they killed the rest before.
Annabeth and Percy are taken hostage, like it happens in the books, but PERCY WILLINGLY GIVES UP HIS BLOOD TO RAISE GAEA RATHER THAN LETTING ANNABETH GET HURT BC OF HIS FATAL FLAW LIKE ATHENA TOLD HIM WOULD HAPPEN EVENTUALLY!!
The Gods DON'T SHOW UP PLEASE!! That was so lameee. Why even do the whole quest if their mommies and daddies were going to show up to help them????
So while Percy and Annabeth are battling the remaining few Giants, Leo, Piper, Hazel and Frank go up against Gaia herself. In the old myths four titans held Ouranos down while Kronos chopped his essence up. In the same way, they battle Gaia away from her turf in the air, keeping her distracted enough. All these demigods are needed because she's a primordial dammit!
Jason, my guy, comes in a clutch, chops her to pieces and sends her essence to Tartarus!!
The world is saved, the end!

Reveals Day 1
Tumblr media
Hello, everyone! We are so excited for day 1 of reveals! We are so proud of all of the hard work that the Fest participants have put in! We will be revealing new works each weekday for the next two weeks!
As a reminder, please keep in mind that a lot of Conan's material (and the Marauders Fandom) can be angsty, so please mind all ratings and tags!
I want ya (like everyone else here tonight) - by starsbythepocketfuls
Everyone loves Mary. It’s a fact, anyone who meets her loves her, and the only people who didn’t clearly had issues. So it’s no surprise that Lily’s one of the many. Mary’s just got that gravitational pull, she's impossible to stay away from. It might be a new year, a new party but it’s just the same. Someone asks Mary out, she kindly rejects them, the world keeps spinning. So Lily’s not going to ruing their friendship over something unrequited. She’s not going to sit there and die inside every time someone dances with Mary. She’s not going to do anything. Until she gets really drunk… Mary doesn’t like her back, she can’t, can she?
the day the stars died (and our hearts misaligned) - by saturnitystar
He draws his lower lip between his teeth, still refusing to meet Regulus’ eyes. “You promised. You promised it wouldn’t go this far. You – you said you were okay, that everything was going to be fine but it’s not, it’s not fine anymore.”
“Everything is fine –”
“No, it’s not!” Sirius almost yelled, eyes widening at the way Regulus immediately pulled away to shield himself. He felt as though someone had plunged a knife into him, seeing his younger brother scared and curling in on himself with his eyes squeezed shut – scared of him.
Sirius discovering Regulus’ dark mark, and the conversation that ensues. (inspired by Conan Gray’s “Astronomy” <3)
sleeves - by ilookinpeopleswindows
“Pads!”
Sirius turned around. A football, in all its black and white glory, greeted him with a smack to the face. “Bloody hell, James!” He was going to have a bruise.
(or: severe sirius angst. proceed with caution.)
The Cut That Always Bleeds - by fictional_simp09
Alice struggles being in a secret relationship with Narcissa, especially when she finds out her parents have arranged for her to marry Lucius Malfoy
~ Based on The Cut That Always Bleeds by Conan Gray
Don't leave me hangin' alone again - by 29_AonekoLee
They never bothered to give a name to their relationship; there was a mutual agreement that it was ephemeral, just an interlude. But as they approach the inevitable end, Sirius and Remus try desperately to prolong their time together. [fanart]
Please feel free to reblog, comment, kudos, and otherwise encourage the participants! They worked so hard!

TW: Internal homophobia (Walburga and Orion nothing could make me like you)
Give me Sirius Black who knew he liked Remus romantically. Who wanted to say something but was stopped by an overwhelming fear of rejection because that was what he’d known all his life (courtesy of his parents).
Sirius knew he liked Remus but anytime someone asked him how he felt he would deny it because he was terrified that it would get back to Remus and it would ruin their relationship forever.
Give me Sirius who knew how he felt about Remus but was scared of it. Scared because he’d been told it was wrong. Scared that Remus would think so too.
Sirius was scared because what Remus thought mattered. He wanted Remus to approve of him. He was scared Remus wouldn’t look at him the same way anymore.
Give me Sirius who was denying his feelings for Remus from himself too. He knew that he was in love but he wouldn’t allow himself to think it because then it would be real.
Sirius was denying his feelings to himself because he didn’t want to feel that way. He just wished he could be normal.

Snapes Boggart
I don't think it will have anything to do with Lily. She is already dead, she had already rejected his friendship - the worst has already happened, and he has accepted that. He has taken these events into himself and grown from them. Voldemort's wrath? Mmm... Boggarts aren't really just something that scares you - they specifically try to make you feel your greatest fear. eg. Remus' isn't just a werewolf... but the threat of the full moon coming to make him transform, even though the moon isn't scary. Voldemort could figure out Snape is fooling him, and that would be quite spooky - but being killed isn't exactly something that worries Snape too much. Dumbledore losing faith in him is a better candidate, because Dumbledore is the only one with any care for him. If Albus kicked him to the curb, sent the Ministry after him, cancelled his role of Potions Master, told him to never come near Harry again... what exactly would he have to live for...? He may as well try and kill the dark lord himself. ((oh fuck thats an interesting fic idea - Severus on the run trying to single-handedly take down Voldemort, because he may aswell.))
I think his Boggart is his father.
His father was a muggle and he was abusive. I'm not saying Severus shakes in his boots every time he thinks of his dad, but the memories do still upset and embarrass him. He hated muggles and he loved magic. No muggle children liked him, only Lily - a witch. The muggle world gave him nothing but misery. Him being a half-blood was a shameful thing for a young Snape. His feelings about muggles cost him his friendship with Lily. His feelings about muggles lead him to become a Death Eater... lead Lily to her death. He has grown, he no longer seems to care about blood purity above aesthetic anyway... but his entire life has been irreparably changed and shaped around the fact he has Muggle blood. I think if Severus Snape walked into the classroom when Remus was teaching about Boggarts... his father would have walked right out of that cupboard and started belittling him in a thick Mid-Northerner Black Country accent, perhaps even drunken. Of course Severus is hardly going to cower in fear at his father... but I think just the thick reminder of where he came from, who he was, what decisions he has made in life because of it... it completely unsettles him. Seeing his fathers face is an instant trigger, and the humiliation of a room of students seeing it - god, he WISHES it was just Voldemort killing him...

Yes I like Snape, Yes I like the Marauders (Minus James and Peter).. Sirius seems like a stupid guy. Easily manipulated. One to easily get attached to people. He seems like doesn’t think about the consequences of his actions or how they affect others. He’s just doing what James wants him to. Remus is as we all know- a coward- he similarly to Snape, was an outcast just looking for a place to belong which he got- in the wrong place- James- coupled with Sirius’ stupidity andddd we got a cowardly prefect going along with what his messed up friends want. I like Snape more than the Marauders because we actually KNOW him. We see what he’s like, why he’s like the way he is (trauma) he is a complex character not many can understand and I relate to him in various ways. (For one he is heavily autistic coded).
I do not like what the Marauders did to Snape and everyone else. I like their characters mainly because without them, Snape’s story wouldn’t have been like it was. We wouldn’t have the complex broken man we all know and love. Honestly, if anyone was apart of the lgbt community it would be Severus. Severus is always in the minority. In every way. The marauders? Maybe sometimes- like Lupin he’s a werewolf that’s a minority that is hated on, but that’s pretty much it. We can understand why Remus Lupin stayed with James and Sirius it’s because he was scared to be alone again, I honestly believe that if James was never in the picture- Remus and Severus could’ve been friends because they have things in common. Same with Sirius, but if they were friends we wouldn’t have gotten Snape’s sacrifice. Severus’ story needed the Marauders to bring the weight of his actions and later his redemption to light. The Marauders really just needed to get a life and be punished by authority figures for once and I’m not talking about detention.
I like the Marauders because they in a way- supported Snape’s redemption. Not willingly- but they sort of brought it about. But I can’t really like them more than that, because canonically? We don’t see what drives them, all we know is they didn’t like Snape for simply existing and that is a trashy excuse to go after someone for YEARS. Don’t like someone? Don’t interact. I do feel like James manipulated the others to do his bidding or at least look the other way, and Sirius was just an extremely idiotic immature guy that couldn’t look past what he wanted or take others feelings and well being into consideration. But I don’t like them more than being part of the reason Snape’s redemption is so great.
A man that was abused, bullied, harassed, SA’d, groomed into a cult and nearly killed- forced to keep quiet and just take it- rose above his trauma and pain, and made the ultimate sacrifice for the very people that hated and rejected him. Snape is the one that deserves all the love and admiration. Not the marauders. Yeah. They played their part in Snape’s story. I like them for that. But it IS Snape’s story not theirs, not Harry’s nor anyone else’s and you can’t change my mind. Snape is the most relevant character within the series whether JKR and Mstans like it or not. Snape is the one who needs the spotlight, he deserves it. It is his story.

Me and My Husband-Chapter 1
Summary + series masterlist
Main masterlist // marauders era masterlist
This is a slow burn wolfstar x reader/arranged marriage au
Word count : 2,724
The Marauders had all piled up into a carriage of the Hogwarts Express, sweets and lollies littering the seats and floor as they talked all about their break from school. Sirius had of course spent most of his break with the Potters once again before having to go back home before the start of their new school year. "We went to this muggle movie theatre and it was amazing, I've never been to one before" Sirius was currently spouting out about all the things he had done with James, not having a chance to do those kinds of things in his own home. "It was quite fun until we almost got kicked out because Padfoot here wouldn't shut up!" James spoke up with a humorous tone. "Well enough about that, how did your guys break go?" Sirius asked the other two boys after giving James a slight shove. Remus spoke up first "I went to visit my grandparents, they live out in the countryside, so it was nice to have some peace and quiet finally" Peter timidly spoke, a hint of concern in his voice. "Did you handle the full moons alright?" Remus gave a slight nod "it's a pretty secluded area, plus lots of room to run around" He gave Peter a smile to ease up any concern he had for the young Werewolf.
The rest of the trip was filled with mindless talk about more stuff that happened during their break, what kind of pranks they were planning this year and of course relationships. Sirius seemed to stiffen as soon as the topic had been brought up. Peter droned on about his new hufflepuff girlfriend he had gotten at the end of last year before asking the others if they had any crushes or anything. "Well I can't say I have one yet, but who knows this year I might get lucky" James said with a huge dorky grin on his face. After being rejected by Lily Evans far too many times the boy had decided it was best to move on, and now without the constant attempts to gain her affection they had become close friends. Sirius hadn't contributed much to the conversation though, in fact he hadn't spoken a word since Peter had brought the topic up. Although James and Peter didn't notice, the two boys continued with meaningless conversation. Remus on the other hand had noticed how Sirius was unusually quiet, his stormy eyes didn't look away from the window he was leaning against until the scarred hand of the tall boy touched his knee gently "you alright padfoot?" Remus's soft voice had always been pleasant to his ears. Sirius gave a small nod and faked a smile, though Remus could always tell when someone was faking a smile he just always knew, tilting his head as his eyebrows furrowed, clearly not believing what he had said. It scared Sirius just how much of an open book he seemed to Remus, though he guessed everyone felt that way about the tall boy. He knew Remus knew he was lying, he leant down towards him "I'm here if you need anything Sirius" giving him a soft smile, everything about Remus Lupin was soft, his hair, his voice, his warm skin and even the sweaters he always wore. Thankfully though he didn't press on, just leaving his large warm hand on Sirius's knee.
The train ride had come to an end soon after that, the four rowdy boys rushing off the train. All laughing like madmen at some stupid joke James had said. "Let's get to hogwarts quickly I'm starved" Sirius said with an over dramatic and drawn out sigh, James slung his arm around him as a laugh was drawn out from him "yeah because you totally didn't have enough from the trolley" Sirius elbowed him in the side, although that did nothing to discourage James. "Yeah padfoot you would've brought her whole stock if Moony hadn't stopped you" Peters jab had James cracking up all over again. Even Remus let out a small laugh, though Sirius just huffed "you're all the worst" shaking his head at his three friends. "Yeah but you'd be lost without us" James stated, ruffling up the hair of his best friend. As they continued walking Sirius caught sight of the one person he dreaded seeing around the school other than his younger brother, Y/n l/n, or as he referred to her since their last meeting during their break, the absolute bane of his existence. The sight of the expensive jewellery she wore on her hand made his thoughts bubble with anger, she was just as pompous and up herself as ever. He quickly dismissed the thoughts of her, not wanting to think more of it.
The four friends eventually found their way to the great hall, watching on as new 1st years were getting sorted. The boys were certainly the loudest when new students were sorted into Gryffindor. After the sorting and the same speech Dumbledore gave every year the feast had begun, everyone digging in and talking loudly with the people around them. Once the boys had finished eating they rushed to their dorm room, already excited to start planning out pranks for their last year. They all fell asleep quicker then they had initially planned on, the adrenalin wearing off as they started to crash out, barely out of their clothes or under their covers. Remus fell asleep sitting at his desk, his head leaning against his sweater he was using as a makeshift pillow. James was sitting upright, leant against the headboard of his bed, Sirius had crashed out at the end of James bed, his legs dangling off the edge of the bed. And Peter had fallen asleep on his own bed, though lying on top of the covers in nothing but sweat pants he had changed into.
They woke up later than usual, all stiff and sore from the uncomfortable positions they slept in, except for Peter, he was just cold. They all got dressed and decided to go down to the courtyard, they had the entire weekend to settle back in before 7th year classes started. Which they were all eternally grateful for. The Marauders made their way outside, laughing and joking around as usual. Finding somewhere nice to sit they picked back up their conversation from last night. "So this year everything needs to be bigger and better boys" James announced, clapping his hands together "I was thinking that prank we did last year on Snivellus, when we turned his uniform bright pink for the whole day, was pretty good but we could definitely top that". As soon as he finished the four boys all had that same classic Marauders look on their faces that screamed they were up to no good and to steer clear. Sirius shot up "how about we make it rainbow and glitter" Peter laughed and added on "yeah we could even add frills this time" that sent the boys into a crazed fit of laughter all except Remus. It wasn't that he was against the idea, it was more that he had something else in mind "or we could turn his uniform into the girl's one" despite his voice not being as loud as the others, their laughter had completely stopped. Wide devious smiles quickly covered the shocked looks they gave him "Merlin Remus you're a bloody genius!" James shouted, as he ruffled his hair up in approval.
They continued talking about how they'd pull it off when James noticed none other than Lily Evans walking through the courtyard "hey Lily!" James shouted out without a second thought. Lily's head shot up and she smiled at the boys walking over with one of her friends she had been talking to. "Hello boys, I hope the break treated you all well" the boys responded with simple answers of head nods and even a thumbs up from Remus. Sirius had finally noticed who Lily just so happened to drag along with her, of course it just had to be her, Y/n. "Mind if we sit with you guys?" Lily asked, her tone as sweet as always. Sirius would have denied her, almost saying how they were planning some 'Marauders' stuff. But of course James beat him to it "of course not, go for it ladies" he smiled at the two girls as they sat down. Sirius was angry at this, not at James for letting her sit with them, but at Y/n for thinking she could just sit near him so casually.
Sirius couldn't help the hateful glare as he watched the girl in front of him, seemingly avoiding conversation with the rest of the Marauders. All he could focus on was the girl he deemed to be the bane of his existence talking away with Lily, the two only met because of Lily's best friend Severus due to the two being in Slytherin. His stormy eyes held a gaze with the glittering gem on her left ring finger, acting as a constant and cruel reminder of his unwanted fate. Remus of course had noticed, he always did when Sirius's mood suddenly changed. The Werewolf leant down to whisper into said boys ear "You know if you keep brooding at her you're going to burn holes into the back of her head" he let out a soft huff of amusement as the boy looked back over at him, an incredulous look on his face "I'm not brooding, I just don't like her" Remus had that look on his face, the kind of look that said yeah that's totally it. The boy shook his head leaving the over dramatic boy to continue his not brooding session.
Y/n knew Sirius was glaring, she could feel his eyes on her as soon as she sat down with Lily. She tried to ignore it, instead choosing to focus on her conversation with said girl about their breaks, the muggle born witch always asked about the balls and events Y/n went to. Neither minded talking about it, Lily got an inside view of what rich and exclusive Pure Blood gatherings were like and Y/n was able to boast about the overly expensive dresses and jewellery she wore to each event and how pretty she felt in them. She was able to ignore the glaring eyes that seemed almost harsh enough to feel in her skull, until Lily had pointed it out "you know Sirius has been staring at you this entire time" the Slytherin didn't spare a glance at the mentioned boy "I'm well aware, he's been doing that a lot lately, I have no idea why" she let out a scoff at the end of her sentence. As much as she liked to talk about every little detail that happened during her break to Lily. The one thing she just so happened to leave out was the meeting between both her family and the Blacks. When Y/n's left hand combed through her hair brushing it back giving Sirius a perfect view of the beautiful ring he had come to hate, and of course he had taken it as a personal insult, as if she was flaunting the expensive jewel on her finger to dig the knife deeper into him. And that kind of insult wasn't something he had taken very lightly as something seemed to snap inside him, the black haired boy stood up abruptly walking over to the two girls "may I have a word with you l/n" his stormy grey eyes filled with hatred and disgust met the dull and harsh eyes of the girl he stared down, awaiting an answer from her. "With all due respect Black I'm currently busy" despite the two seeming to hate each other's guts, they always still acted formal with each other, years of being raised by pure blood families leaving its mark on the two teens."Yes well it's a very urgent matter Y/n" at the use of her first name she sighed and stood from her seat next to Lily, Sirius had only ever seemed to use her first name when he was beyond angry at her "i'll be back soon Lily" the girl just smiled and nodded joining the conversation with the rest of the marauders as Sirius dragged her away. Remus noticed the tight grip his friend had on the girl's wrist, he felt a tinge of worry creeping up on him, though he seemed to be the only one who noticed, not even Lily had noticed how Sirius pulled away the girl she was just talking to a second ago. Remus knew he was overly perceptive sometimes to his own detriment, so he softly interrupted the group's chatter with the excuse of going to the bathroom. Only to follow the two teens who had just left, stopping just before turning the corner peeking over slightly to see the people he was looking for.
Sirius had cornered Y/n against the wall, not wanting to let her leave until he spoke to her "do you seriously have to wear that stupid ring everywhere" he scoffed down at her, disgust clear in his voice. The Slytherin rolled her eyes at the boy "my parents wanted me to, it's not like I could say no to them, you know what will happen if Regulus finds out you're not wearing yours, do you really want your parents to find out" it was now Sirius's turn to roll his eyes "that doesn't mean you have to flaunt it around and keep reminding me of it" the girls face morphed from slightly irritated to furious "Excuse me! You think I'm flaunting it, as if I ever wanted this, as if I like this any more than you do!" Her voice kept rising in octaves as she yelled at the boy in front of her. "All I'm saying is you seem far too comfortable wearing that to be too upset about it" he leaned down into her face, it was clear to Y/n he was trying to intimidate her, there was a pause of silence before a loud slap rang out in the empty corridor they had found themselves in. Sirius's hand shooting up to hold his now reddening and sore face "you prick! Stop speaking to me like that, as if you know anything about me, it's like you think it's my life's dream to be betrothed and bear children to some moronic teenage boy I hate, simply to uphold our stupid pure-blood lineage!" Sirius was too stunned to speak, he didn't know if it was because of the slap, the angry words the usually quiet girl had yelled at him, or the tears that were now violently streaming down her face. Y/n turned away from him, face red and hot from her anger and tears, in doing so she had locked eyes with none other than Remus Lupin who was standing at the end of the corridor in shock only slightly out of view, both their eyes widening as their eyes locked. Y/n letting out a shocked gasp had alerted Sirius, whose head shot over to look at Remus, the tall Werewolf looking between the two, a slight bit of fear etched on his face at being caught. He looked down "sorry, I didn't mean to overhear anything, I was just worried about you" he didn't say who exactly he was talking about, eyes locking onto the floor. Though Remus himself didn't know who he was talking about either, only looking up when he heard the sudden movement of feet, watching as Y/n shoved Sirius away from her. Finally being freed from against the wall, she took off in the other direction, unable to contain her violent sobbing. Remus looked awkwardly at Sirius as he slowly made his way over, the taller boy staying still in his spot "you can't tell the others about this, can you promise me that Moony?" Remus seemed shocked, while he looked at Sirius. He seemed so vulnerable and scared, almost weak even as a few tears leaked down his face "I- I promise… I won't tell anyone anything" he gently put his hand on Sirius's shoulder. Said boy leaned into the touch of his friend, he sniffled slight before speaking "thank you Remus"

Lily couldn't stop crying. Sirius had never seen her like this and it made him really uncomfortable. If it would be any other girl, at least Sirius would say something funny to cheer her up. Although with The Ginger it was different.
Instead of helping her or comforting her, Sirius observed how thick tears fell down her cheeks, ruining all her makeup. And how she blew her nose with the same piece of paper over and over again. Disgusting. Sirius wrinkled his nose.
That girl was something strange all together. Sirius had never met someone like her.
She wasn't a pretty girl for him, but she wasn't ugly. She was loud, upfront and annoying. But at the same time, so innocent and naive that it was unbelievable for a girl her age. They were both intelligent but Sirius was all about fun. Lily was all about effort. Teachers loved her. Students loved her. Remus loved her. And James adored her. Sirius didn't understand why.
Sirius had learned to like Marlene and Mary, even other girls like Dorcas, and Alecto.
But there was something about this girl that Sirius simply couldn't stand.
He didn't understand how James could be so obsessed with her. Sirius kind of resented her for how she had treated him over the years, how she had rejected him. For Sirius, James was so amazing that he deserved so much better.
However now, Sirius was surprised to see how Lily cared for James. After the nasty accident during rugby with a rough visitor team, in which James had hit his head so hard, it started bleeding through his untamed curls and he passed out, they all went through a tense moment. They all cried scared for James's wellbeing. Sirius was still kind of shaking.
But it was over now. James had gotten some stitches. He was still unconscious because he lost too much blood but Poppy had said he would be fine.
Sirius hadn't wanted to leave his side. Neither as Lily. The way she stared at James through tears was something Sirius had never seen before. The way she grabbed his hand and kissed it. The way she whispered encouraging things to him.
Seeing that, made Sirius sentimental. He even felt goosebumps. And he knew in that instant that no one would love his best friend like Lily Evans in that moment.
Although Sirius was allergic to vulnerability. He was still learning to embrace his feelings for Remus. Sirius simply didn't want to admit Lily Evans might be the love of James's life. They were still young. So young.
"Jesus Christ, Ginger" Sirius exclaimed when Lily bursted into tears once again "This is not Prongs's funeral, alright? He is fine"
Even joking about James's death made Sirius feel a cold shiver. He just couldn't imagine it. So he added:
"He will be just fine" trying to convince himself of it as well.
Lily sniffed wiping her tears again.
"I got so scared of losing him" she said as she caressed his cheek "I... I love him, Sirius. I love him so much"
Sirius moved uncomfortably on his chair.
'Who do you think you are?' Sirius thought 'I love him more. Nobody loves him like I do. Nobody got as scared as me'
Sirius didn't say any of that.
"He's fine" he mumbled "Don't exaggerate"
Lily's red puppy eyes focused on him without discretion. Sirius looked away. He hated how sometimes she scanned people as they were interesting books.
"Hey Sirius..."
"Shsh..." Sirius silenced her "You're gonna wake him up" he whispered pointing at James.
Lily ignored him.
"You know, I've been trying so hard for you to like me. For us to get along. But it is impossible" she said with a sigh "What did I do for you to hate me so much?"
Sirius was surprised by this conversation. He took a look at the door, begging for someone else to come back and mediate. Well Remus, only Remus.
"I don't hate you" he shrugged.
"You are jealous because you think I will take James away from you, don't you?"
Sirius leaned in defiantly. She mirrored his position. James sleeping between them. "That's ridiculous!"
'Nobody can't take James away from me' he thought 'Right?'
Lily smiled teasingly as if she was reading his thoughts.
"I am in love with him, Sirius" Lily leaned back on her chair, crossing her arms comfortably. Something odd considering the fact she was drowning in a sea of tears minutes ago. And she looked ridiculous with a pinky nose and ran makeup "You love him as a best friend"
Sirius almost rolled his eyes.
"I am not leaving him. Not now, not ever" she snapped "And obviously you will always be his best friend" then she leaned in again. "Seems to me we will have to learn to stand each other. Right?"
Sirius suddenly felt a knot on his throat.
He might've looked tense because Lily softened her expression and reached his hand.
"Sirius, I like you" she said with a soft smile "We could be good friends"
Sirius stared for a second at her hand on his. Then pulled his hand away.
The girl was trying. Sirius was a difficult best friend. James was better. He obviously accepted Remus as Sirius’s boyfriend. Of course they were best mates after all. But Sirius knew whoever Sirius fancy, whoever made him happy, James would try his best to like them as well. James was a gentleman like that.
It was about time Evans realized how amazing James was. Sirius couldn't live without him.
Now he felt tears filling up his eyes. So he looked away. He was so pathetic still.
Lily sighed in disappointment and turned to look at James as he was waking up.
They both became alert.
James groaned and moved from side to side before opening his eyes. He had been sleeping for hours and hours because of pain killers. Poppy did say his head would ache when he woke up.
Although he smiled when he saw them.
"Hey"
Sirius smiled but before he could say anything, Lily was speaking.
"Hey, hey darling..."
Sirius wanted to tell her to give James some space, she was too close.
"How are you feeling?" she added.
James seemed happy but he was closing his eyes.
"Kind of dizzy..." he swallowed "Everything is blurry"
It was Sirius who grabbed his glasses from the nightstand. Lily grabbed the glass of water from her side.
"Here you go, mate"
"You must be thirsty"
They both spoke at the same time, handing James their respective things.
"Thank you, gorgeous"
James said as he took his glasses and put them on. But also took a sip of water. So Sirius didn't know if he was speaking to him or Evans. He was flirty with both like that.
They both waited for James to blink and wake up for good, but he seemed sleepy still. Maybe the medicine had been strong.
James noticed how his girlfriend and best friend were very pendant of him and smiled.
"Am I dead and reached Heaven?" James asked dreaminly. "I think I am surrounded by angels"
They both laughed realizing James was still under the effects of the medicine.
"God is real, mum. You were right" he added "And he blessed me with angels who look exactly like my two loves"
Sirius and Lily looked shyly at each other, hiding smiles.
"My beautiful girlfriend" James squeezed Lily's cheek "And my beautiful best friend" he patted Sirius’s cheek.
Sirius let out a giggle. He was so happy James was okay.
Meanwhile, Lily's eyes filled with tears again.
"God! I was so worried about you, Potter!" then leaned in to kiss him on the lips "Don't ever scare me like that!"
James smirked, eyes half closed.
"Oh smoochy angel! You kiss just like her..." James exclaimed "Just like my Lily"
Lily laughed happily "You are an idiot" she kissed him again.
Sirius noticed how they were intertwing fingers at this point. But James's eyes were on Sirius.
"Do you kiss as well handsome angel?" James asked raising his eyebrows suggestively.
Sirius laughed because he knew it was not the medicine. It was just James. His silly James.
"You wish, Potter" Sirius pushed James's face away as he continuously blew him some kisses.
"Lily won't tell Remus, I promise"
Sirius snorted and Lily shook her head with a smile.
"Speaking of Remus" Sirius stood up from his chair "I'll let everyone know you're awake"
Sirius was relieved now that James was fine. He was fine. Now he wanted to leave before he bursted into tears. Maybe he understood why Lily was upset and crying before.
They both loved James. Differently but as intensely. And maybe she was right. They would have to learn to share James. And be civil about it.
"I'll give you some time as well, Mr. and Mrs. Potter"
He said this looking at Lily. And almost smiled. Almost.
Lily, on the other hand, was giving him a bright smile. Sirius hated how good she was.
Before Sirius walked away, he hesitated but turned to James. James Potter was Sirius’s family. He was Sirius’s home.
"Hey Prongs"
James looked at him.
"I'm so glad you're okay"
And luckily he finished talking before his voice broke.
James smiled at him and extended his hand for Sirius. The latter grabbed it breafly before walking away to the door.
Sirius turned once more to see the mellow couple in front of him. The way they looked at each other, the way they whispered things to each other. They way they touched each other's faces delicately. And the way they kissed...
Sirius couldn't get between that. His best friend was in love with Lily Evans, she made him happy and viceversa. So Sirius would have to learn to like her. He was not going to be a bitch anymore.

James Potter & Damon Salvatore///Is it another love?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anonymous request: I love your writing so much I was wondering where you can do a crossover of the vampire diaries and The Marauders the reader is a Marauder and she likes James but he likes Lily she overhears that James would never like her so she goes out to cry and but then she meets Damon Salvatore who comes out from a Time Machine weeks later he takes her to his world since he has fallen in love with her so he tells to leave everything and go with him
“Since Lily doesn't like you, why not go for Y/n? who is also attractive.” Sirius smiles
“Y/n’s beauty is something I agree on, but I only view her as a friend and it would never happen.” James tells him “Because I love Lily.”
Wiping off your tears, you walked away quietly to avoid hearing James rejecting you anymore.
“But Y/n and you make a cute couple.” Remus tells him
“But I only want Lily, can't you guys not understand that?” James crossed his arms angrily
"And why can't you not understand that Lily doesn't like you back.” Sirius fumed “you're missing on a really nice girl like Y/n. I hope you don't regret it when she finds somebody else better than you.”
When you got outside, you started to cry again as you kicked the ground. "Why did I believe that he would like me back? I'm so stupid!! Of course he likes Lily.”
While you cried furiously, you didn't notice a machine falling on the ground and a person coming out of it.
As you stood up, someone asked from behind you, “where am I?” and scared the living hell out of you.
As you attempted to calm yourself down after getting scared by this weird guy with weird questions, you asked “who are you?”
“I apologize for scaring you, I didn't intend to do so. My name is Damon Salvatore.” He smiled as he kissed your hand.
You couldn't help but blush at this cute weirdo guy “My name is Y/n Y/l/n, but why did you ask weird questions?”
He smiles, again “Your name is beautiful just like you. I can't believe it’s my lucky day. I just met the most beautiful girl in the world.”
You smiled at this guy who was not only weird but he’s charming and cute. “Haha thank you but you didn’t answer my question.”
“Beautiful it’s hard to explain, and you’ll laugh at me after I finish telling you.” He tells you
“Why is it hard? You can tell me I promise that I won’t laugh.” You tell him back smiling
He looks at you with a sad look “you will laugh at me and I don’t want to scare you away because you will once I tell you and I know we don’t know each other but I already like you.”
You giggle, "You already like me? How is that possible? If I'm a boring person and it's ok, you don't have to tell me anything if you don't want to.”
He laughs, "you’re not a boring person. Your amazingness makes everything possible, and I'll reveal my secret to you at a later time.”
"Y/n there you are!!!,We were so worried about you." James glares at Damon, “Why are you conversing with this dumb ass stranger?”
Damon growls, "I don't think it's any of your business unless you're her boyfriend even if you are, you don't have a right to talk to her like that and I have a name boy.”
“He's not my boyfriend, he's just a friend.” You tell Damon with a smile
James looked at you shocked that you would say that "first Y/n don’t tell strangers about our lives and second of all, I don't need to know your name Mr.”
“James stop it and leave them alone. They were just talking and we rudely interrupted them.” Sirius tells him
James glares at his best friend then he looks over at you "while you were too busy talking to this idiot we were worried thinking that something bad happened to you since you didn't come to the Common room like you were supposed to.”
Damon fumed as he walked past you “Call me something else again and I'll have your ass on the ground.”
"Sirius and Remus take James away before something happens." you tell them as they nodded trying to take him away but James kept pushing them away “the fuck you’re not staying with him if we’re leave your coming with us.”
You give Damon a somber smile. “I have to go with them to avoid trouble because James shouts, but I'm hoping to see you tomorrow.”
He shakes his head, "He should get in trouble not you or your friends but I'm hoping to see you tomorrow as well princess and have a good night.”
You nodded with a smile “thank you and I hope you have a wonderful night as well.”
While walking with them, you rolled your eyes as James shouted at you and asked questions about Damon.
"Stop rolling your eyes and answer me. Who the fuck is he?” He demands getting in your face
“I will slap you if you keep yelling and swearing at me, and you cannot demand to know his identity.” You told him before leaving
“Y/n,Get back here now!!. We're not done talking yet!!” James yelled out for you, but you flipped him off and kept walking.
James exclaims with frustration, “can you believe her?”
Remus shrugs his shoulders "Well you did go over the line.”
“I was just trying to protect her. I can't do that now?” James questions angrily “He could have done something to hurt her.”
“Yelling and swearing at her is not a way to protect her. It's pushing her away instead.” Sirius explains “and after what you did, I don’t think she’ll want you near or around her.”
“Given what you did, I agree with Sirius that she probably won't want to be near or around you.” Remus adds “Probably not even with us as well.”
With a smile, Lily says, “Y/n, I was looking for you.” The smile she had turned to a frown. "What's the matter?"
"Ask your boyfriend." Anger poured out of you as you walked past her.
Lily asks in a confused manner, "My boyfriend?"
James asks Lily with anger, "Have you seen Y/n?"
"She went in that direction,” Lily points out. "What happened?"
James sighs and thanked Lily before heading in the direction he was instructed to go.
She observes his departure and is irritated because no one is explaining the situation. “Could someone please give me an explanation?”
“James got mad because he saw Y/n and an unknown man talking.” Sirius explains “You know how he is overprotective of her.”
“Sirius, that also sounds like he got jealous.” She tells him with smile
“James doesn’t like her, he likes you”. Remus tells her
“But I don’t see him like that because I really like somebody else.” She confesses
“Is it Snape?” Sirius tease her with a smirk
“Maybe”. She blushes as she shrugs her shoulders “but I do hope that one day, Y/n and James end up together.”
“Y/n we didn’t finish talking.” James grabs your arm
James' hand is removed from your arm by you. “We have concluded.”
“I was just trying to protect you from him who could have hurt you, can't you see?” He fumed
You rolled your eyes, “You need to worry about Lily instead of me.”
“You are the focus, not Lily.” He huffed
“The conversation we had is irrelevant to me now, it's concluded.” You walked off.
Damon comes out of the machine with a smile as everyone asks him questions “I just saw and met the most beautiful woman in the world.”
"Brother, what are you talking about?" Stefan looks at him with confusion
With a grin on his face, Damon gazes upon his brother, “Y/n Y/L/N is the most stunning woman I have ever met."
Elena laughs, “Babe, I'm speculating that your brother came across a stunning woman when he went to another world.”
Stefan laughs too "I think you're right because right now he's being stupid and not listening.”
“what should we do?” Caroline asks
“I think let’s leave him alone for a second and he’ll probably tell us later.” Elena replied
Caroline rolled her eyes "why later? I want to know about the mystery woman that got the demon in love? Oops, I meant Damon.”
“I have a name and the mystery woman that got me in love is Y/n I already told you guys.”
Caroline crosses her arm in frustration "We all know that, but we want to know who she is.”
Damon smirks, “you’ll soon have the chance to meet her because I'm thinking of bringing her into this world.”
“That’s not saying much.” Caroline grumbles
After what happened last night, you been ignoring James who has been trying to talk to you since the morning
“Why are you so moody Prongs?” Sirius asks pretending to not know what got his best friend in a bitchy mood
“Because Y/n is not talking to me.” James grumbles as he rolls his eyes
“After what transpired last night, why should she?” Sirius defends you “You're my best friend, but she's also my best friend. What you did was wrong.”
“I'm apologetic for trying to safeguard her. Perhaps in the future, I'll keep my mouth shut.” James storms off
“James, come back.!!!That wasn't what I intended to say.” He ignores Sirius' call out.
James dropped to his knees on the grass as he let out tears "I'm so sorry Y/n for the things that I have done.”
“James,be patient with her right now. She's upset, but eventually she'll forgive you.” Lily tells him
“You think so?” he asks with hope on his face
“Of course!!!” She smiles
Outside, you were waiting for Damon who sent you a letter to meet him here “there you are my princess.”
You blushed "so I read your letter and it said that you have a surprise for me
He looked at you with hope but scared at the same time “promise me you won't get scared or try to run once I take you to my city and tell you what I am.”
You give him a confused stare, “I don’t promise anything but okay.”
Damon grabs your hand and leads you to a machine as you look around the machine “you made this cool time machine?”
He laughs as he closes the door and he sits next to you “I wish but actually it was Bonnie my friend, that made this.”
You looked at him with a smiled as you noticed that you and Damon came to a stop and the two of you got out
You were taken aback by the beauty of this city and looked around in shock. “Where are we?”
He smiles at you, "Mystic Falls."
You stare at him in shock. "Mystic Falls?, as they claim, is the location of the supernatural."
He nods and lowers his head. "Indeed, and I am among them."
“What kind of supernatural are you?”
“Vampire.” He says “ I understand if you’re scared, if you want I’ll take you home so you don’t go by yourself.”
You moved closer to him and grabbed his face with a smile. “I’m alright; I'm not terrified or anything.”
With a grin on his face, he grabbed your hands and kissed them. “Okay then, my Princess, let's go meet some individuals.”
"Have you seen Yn? I haven't seen her all day.” James says
“It's probable that she's with Lily or something. End your overprotectiveness. It's both adorable and annoying.” Sirius tells him
"Oh Y/n? She was with the same guy that we saw her with last night and they were having a conversation.”Peter butts in with a smirk
”You gotta be kidding me.”James growls. She didn't listen. She's going to hear from me when she gets back.”
Sirius glares at Peter who stopped smirking then he looks over at James, "Prongs you can't tell Y/n what to do, she's allowed to talk or to hang out with whoever she wants.”
“There's an aspect of that guy that makes me apprehensive about Y/n being around him.” James tells them “But I'll figure it out soon or later, but I will.”
After he laid you on his bed so that you could sleep more comfortably, Damon went back to ask his friends and brother how they felt about you. “So what do you think of Y/n?”
“She's incredible, with a great heart and personality, and she's the perfect match for you, my brother.” Stefan replies.
“I agree with Stefan that you have never been so happy for a woman before. Since she makes you happy, we support your decision of you and her dating.”
Damon chuckles, "I was going to date her regardless of your approval, but thank you.”
“When do you plan on asking her to leave everything behind and join you in this world?” Caroline asked.
“When she wakes up.” Damon replies
The aroma of pancakes and toast greeted you as you woke up and went to the kitchen to see the Damon flipping the pancakes and he noticed you and gave you a smile
“Good morning princess, please take a seat and I'll bring you a plate.” Damon tells you
You smile as you sit down. “Thank you and good morning to you too.”
Daman placed your plate next to you as he sat down. "I was wondering if we could talk later?"
You give a nod as you begin cutting your pancakes and eating it “it’s so delicious thank you.”
Damon returns to his seat after taking the plates to the dishwasher. “I'm hoping that what I'm about to ask you won't make you too uncomfortable because you might think it's too soon or that you don't want to do it.”
You smiled “Whatever it is, just tell me.”
Hope is in his eyes as he grabs your hands and he looks at you. “Leave everything behind and join me in my world.”

I am very sorry to bother you, but a very sweet prompt fleeted into my mind as I prepared myself to come out to my parents, and I'd thought I'd share it in the sheer hope you'd read it, enjoy the thought and perhaps write something based on it, if you're comfortable.
Just imagine, you're very close to Sirius Black (you can choose to which degree, platonically, romantically, interested but not together yet, preferably the last because hehe). You've known for a while you were transgender (FtM) but never had the strength to come out, fearing rejection and alienation from the friend group. Just a sweet little comfort fic because I'm anxious as fuck.
Tumblr media
≋ What you're doing is extremely brave, I'm so very proud of you. I wish you the best, friend. Know that whatever goes down, you'll never be judged or rejected here. I'll pray your coming out will be met with love and affection.

Hogwarts seemed intimidating, more than anything. Eleven year old me, sitting in that train, chewing my nails and staring out at the moving scenery, had not the slightest idea that finding friends would be as easy as breathing. At least it is when four troublemakers decide to adopt you into their friend group, barely a week after classes started.
‘The marauders’ they’d call themselves, not so slowly becoming every professor’s nightmare.
They each had something that made them so intriguing. The four of them were attached at the hip, and with me being dragged into their pranks and escapades things only got more entertaining. Even as my house was far away from the castle we studied at, every day I got to spend with them made it feel like I was home, with their jokes and their being able to light up a dull moment with only a couple of words. James, Sirius, Remus and Peter welcomed me in, as one of them.
In the midst of my lowest moments I wondered, would they still accept me if I let my walls down? I sprinkled seeds of the truth here and there: I cut my hair short, I opted for pants instead of the usual skirt, I was at my happiest during winter - when finally I could show off the baggiest of sweaters to conceal the appendages on my chest. It’s not purely a physical discomfort, though. It’s in the little things, small seemingly meaningless moments that no one appears to notice but me.
People perceive me differently based on how I move even the tiniest of muscles, it is painfully obvious. The boys have never done it, not once, they’ve always treated me as one of them. Never has one of them implied me being weaker, more delicate or called me ‘sweetheart’ in that obnoxious way lots of people do when they’re trying to put me back in my place.
My head constantly feels underwater with the knowledge that if I were to sit wrong I’d be labeled as a girl, if I walk in a specific way it’ll put attention on my hips, even just standing, unmoving, gives me anxiety. The most insignificant of movements could shoot down the image of me that I want people to see whenever they lay eyes on me.
I feared the worst each time I let my mind tug me into a daydream. Deep down I knew, they’d never turn their back on a friend, but fear nipped at my heels every day. Not only was I hiding who I was from them, but I was lying to their faces about it as well. What hurt me the most, though, was not being able to admit my identity to Sirius.
Sirius Orion Black, he’s been the one that made sure I felt safe around him and the lads. More than once I caught myself being entranced by his words as he let the rest of us know what a nightmare his family life was. He was the total opposite of what his mother wanted him to be, yet that didn’t stop him from being his pure unfiltered self, if anything he enhanced each trait she found disgusting. Sirius wasn’t scared to be his true self, even if it meant going against his blood.
It sparked something in me. My heart has been his, for a long time now.
Sirius, with his raven locks, smooth skin and ever present smirk on his face is the one and only subject of all my dreams. He constantly looks as though he knows everyone’s secrets. The thought makes my stomach twist. When I awake, with the moon still high up in the sky, I almost turn to the pillow beside me, to take a peek at him, they’re that realistic.
At any rate, if there’s someone that I feel should be the one to know the true me, it is him. I contemplated asking all four of them to meet me, but I don’t think I could rip the bandaid that easily. I want to talk to the one who knows -somewhat- how it feels to have expectations placed on oneself, the one who knows that being someone you’re not is more painful than the Crucio curse itself. Of course our situations are oceans apart: he doesn’t deal with having the need to hide certain parts of my body, or with the numerous wailing moments caused by being born in the wrong body, but I think he'd be the first one to accept me.
I had a whole speech prepared, a letter pages and pages long that I was going to give him, so he could read it without my presence, but as I hear his footsteps approaching me, I can imagine him already. His wand resting behind his ear and tie loosened, hands comfortably and nonchalantly situated in the pockets of his jeans with his luscious hair possibly styled into a bun.
“You’ve been rather gloomy lately, mate.” His foot taps my leg, before he lowers himself to sit next to me. We’ve always enjoyed sitting in the astronomy tower together, in the short span of time between a prank or two. Here, we don’t have to worry about being something else, we’re just humans admiring the stars. In hindsight, I should have figured out he knew I’d be hiding out here, as for my ‘being gloomy’, well, I thought I’d done a good job pretending. Apparently not. It makes me wonder if he’s seen through all of my white lies.
“You know how it is, life is hard.” I turn to him, expecting a silly joke like ‘Life is hard, but I’m harder’, something stupid to cheer me up as he usually does, but said joke never makes it into reality. He’s not even smiling, his lip is caught between his teeth in a clearly troubled look, it doesn’t suit him. No trace of a bun holding his luscious hair in place, what a shame.
“Are you okay though?” He whispers, even if we are the only beating hearts in the room and the sincerity in his voice almost brings me to tears. “I mean it when I say you haven’t been yourself lately.” I haven’t fully been myself for ages, but he doesn’t know that. Of course he doesn’t. I’ve been everything but myself. Oh, how many times have I hoped I could just rip my chest apart and rid myself of this body that doesn’t belong to me, before emerging from the depth of it as the man I know I am.
My tongue is threatening me to run faster than my mind. ‘I’m a man’ I want to shout, ‘I have always been a man, from the moment I was born, and I hope you can accept me for what I am.’ It sounds so easy in my head, which is why I hate it more than anything when my throat dries up as soon as I part my lips. His gaze falls to them, but it comes back up to meet my eyes when only a sigh escapes from them.
In being faced with my hesitation he speaks again, a subtle comforting smile on his face, “Hey, I’m not holding you hostage. You don’t have to talk about it, if you don’t feel like it.” His elbow meeting my side in a gentle shove sends my heart ablaze, it is just a simple touch, not even skin on skin, yet it makes my entire body warm up.
“If one day you woke up and saw that you were trapped in a cage, what would you do?” I tentatively ask, testing the waters of the ocean I know I am going to dive in today. My question causes a corner of his lips to tilt upwards, “I’d pick the lock,” He says, as if the solution would be that easy. I foolishly hope it was.
“What if there is no lock to pick? What if you could escape it, but you’d have to face one of the biggest fears in your life in order to do so?”
His answer, before I can even finish the last syllable, “I’d do it. If it means freedom, I’d do anything. You know it.” His hand rests on my shoulder, I can feel his thumb pressing into my muscles, more than anything I want to hug him and confess my reality with my face hidden in his neck. But I don’t. I’m tired of hiding. My life has turned into a twisted version of hide and seek, where I’m both the seeker and the one hiding. I seek a day where I won’t have to hold back anymore, a day where I’ll be able to use a masculine pronoun without expecting weird looks towards me, yet I hide away in the darkness, afraid of the future, afraid of losing everything I’ve built so far.
I’ve built mansions, cathedrals, palaces with precarious foundations and I think the time has come to fix that.
“What’s with all the philosophical talk today? Cages and fears and whatnot. Is it a new idea for a prank? Because if it is you need to hear one James had just a while ago-”
“I’ve been lying to you, Sirius.” I confess with the taste of bile in the back of my throat. The letter I had prepared and read so many times I’d memorized it sits deep in the pockets of my pants, I’m running on no script and no idea of where this conversation will bring us. I have no patience to hear what he might say, so I don’t even stop to breathe before I speak again.
“I’ve been lying to all of you, even to myself at times. I want to preface this by saying that I understand if this is confusing to you, or if you don’t understand where this is coming from but I am not the girl you boys befriended all those years ago. I’ve never been a girl, not once, but this doesn’t mean I’ve been faking to be your friend. I’m still the friend that helped you get out of detention, I’m still the friend that sent professors down the wrong hallway when they would ask for you mid prank preparation, I’m still the friend that would do your essays for you in exchange for part of your food at lunch. I’m still your friend, just not the friend you thought you had.” The words flow out like a river overflowing, it is only as I say the last word that I notice the tears rolling down my cheeks, “I’m not a girl,” I say again, my voice cracking in a sob, “I’m a guy.”
The grip he had on my shoulder tightens for a moment before he lets out the loudest sigh of relief I’ve ever heard, “By Merlin’s beard, you scared me half to death there.” His other hand rests on his chest, most likely trying to relax his beating heart that, if it’s pounding half the speed of mine, then it must be fighting tooth and nail to escape his ribcage. Something halfway through another sigh and a chuckle comes from him as his head shakes, “So, you’re a bloke, huh? Is that what you’re telling me?”
I nod, swallowing the gulp stuck in my throat, I can’t force myself to make a sound. The arm wrapping itself around my shoulder and pulling me into Sirius takes me by surprise, “You were always one of the lads, mate.” He says, grinning ear to ear, “Thank you for telling me. I can’t imagine this was easy for you…” The weight on my back does not abandon me completely, it is only the tiniest amount lighter. The first step is taken, there is no going back, little by little he’ll be able to uncover all of me. One small step at a time. Now it is no time to let him know how the only things I smelled while brewing amortentia was his cologne, butterbeer and the occasional cigarette.
I don’t know what else to say, it feels like I just lept from a flying broom awaiting contact with the ground, but the crash never comes, my bones never break and no absurd pain breaks through me. “Thank you for still being here.” I choke out. His thumb runs over the corners of my eyes, the silver rings on his fingers graze my hot skin, “Thank you for telling me.” He repeats, dragging my body closer to his in a warm hug, “I want you to know, telling the others, that’s your choice. I won’t say a word. There’s no rush. I’ll even hold your hand while you do it.”
I melt in his arms. His last remark, as teasing as it was, is enough to pull a smile out of me. “I’ll make sure to let you know whenever I’m ready so you can wash your hands first. Who knows what you’ve touched.”
“Wow, rude much.” Sirius holds me for what feels like a lifetime. They say Hogwarts is the safest place there is, but I think I’ve found a worthy adversary to that claim. We don’t say anything, I said my piece and he listened. That’s all that was important. One day I’m going to have to tell James, Remus and Peter as well, but that can wait for now. The worst is done.
“Do you feel a little more free now?” He murmurs in my ear, “Has that cage began to feel like something you could escape from?”
“Yes.” And I mean it when I say it. The future looks brighter than it ever has.
