i was thinking about regulus today, how he must have been a teenager, a boy. just a boy. so here’s fun facts about him

regulus wrote his door sign himself, so probably there was a day where he just decided to do this and put it up himself or get kreacher to help him, typical teenager behavior. harry thought this was something percy might do, reading harry pov always cracks me up and then the context is actually sad!!

he took pictures with his quidditch team and he was smiling with them, this shows us there was things that bought regulus joy

this is just him being a typical student hehe!!

grandeur means of high rank or of social importance and this implies his room looked like one. it also shows that sirius and regulus’ room were very different. it also says that regulus had the family motto “toujour pur” which means always pure, so someone painted that in his room when he was a child or it has always been there, intentionally placed. who made choices for his room decor? a teenager eager to please his parents or a mother who wanted to oversee the room decor, we’ll never know.

New Chapter / 20 / Primped and Preened

James lifts his head just enough to glare half-heartedly at him. “You’re enjoying this way too much.”

Regulus tilts his head, his smirk softening into something a little more dangerous, a little more smug.

“Immensely,” he says.

James sighs dramatically, though there’s a flicker of warmth in his eyes that he can’t quite hide.

“Come on,” he says, trying for a pleading tone. “Do me a favor and spare me the humiliation. I did apologise, you know. Sincerely.”

“I know,” Regulus whispers. He leans in, his lips quirking as he adds, “That’s a good boy.”

James freezes.

His entire body tenses, his hands tightening slightly where they’re resting against Regulus’ hips. Heat rushes to his face, and his breath catches in his throat. Regulus, of course, notices immediately, because of course he does.

“What?” James manages to croak, his voice coming out rough and uneven.

Regulus doesn’t answer right away. Instead, he leans closer, his breath warm against James’ ear as he repeats, low and deliberate, “I said, that’s a good boy, James.”

The words hit James like a whip, sharp and electric, and for a moment, he forgets how to breathe. His head drops slightly, his hands gripping Regulus a little tighter as his brain short-circuits completely. Oh, for the love of God.

No thoughts except this one really big thought that Walburga murders James, cooks him and feeds him to Sirius but Sirius doesn't know that until afterwards and he loses it and then butchers Walburga and Orion and proceeds to cook them and consume them, also feeding them to Regulus, Regulus is aware of everything that went down but he'll gladly eat their parents for Sirius sake even if it makes him a little sick inside a first, this all jumpstarts secret cannibal black brothers, Sirius does most of the killing, Regulus will usually prep and cook and then they both feast!

I hate my brain

I was just peacefully scrolling through my Jegulus-possessed tumblr, not a care in the world when I started singing Blood // Water by Greyson in my head and I was over a trans regulus fic, and my mind went to that song being about Walburga (I think, Sirius and regulus’s mom) because of the line: “The price of your greed, you son and your daughter, what you gonna do when there’s blood in the water?” … they both died, I mean, Sirius after Walburga but still. I thought I should share my pain, thanks for coming to my ted talk.

Guess who just finished their fall semester at college and is ready to hibernate for a week straight? Yup, that would be me!

I got an A in French, which probably means that in a few years the only things I’ll remember how to say are Je ne parle pas français and C’est pas Versailles ici (thanks, Dr. Swanson) so to celebrate, I decided to post two chapters of my Jegulus fic! Chapters 4 and 5 are out now—go check them out!
