Do you think you speak too fast/ too slow?

Here is what I learned from a speech coach.
warm up:
start this exercise by taking a deep breath and saying “aaaaah” - try to extend this to 30 seconds. Now if it doesn’t go till 30, that’s fine. Aim to work your way to that. If you can work it up to 30, go for 45/60 seconds. Do this 5 times.
next. Download an app called Metronome beats. It’s basically what singers/ musicians use for beats.
Settings: keep beats/bar as 1,
clicks/beats as 1
start at 90. It will start with a click sound and continue “beeping.”
Match your words to the beep. One beep = one word. Now slowly, increase the beat by 5 till you reach 110. Increase it at your own pace but try to spend at least 20 seconds on each number (90 for 20 seconds; 95 for 20; 100 for 20….) That’s when you stop.
either start by reading something out loud and matching the beat, or select a topic and speak freely.
do this every single day. This will help with your breath, if you’re speaking on a topic it will help you think better and improve over time. The best way to further complement this exercise is to improve your vocabulary. Try to learn 1-3 new words a day and incorporate it in your vocabulary.
This is a great tool to use when learning new languages too. You can practice your speaking skills and see how fast you can remember/ read words.

Introduction!
Hi everyone! I'd like go make a few well known points on this blog, such as its purpose, what it includes/will eventually, rules, and a little bit about myself.
Origins/About the Admin
The admin uses he/him pronouns and will use the online alias of Red.
This account was born from a conversation between a good friend of mine and I. I, a trans boy, have had to do so much digging and so much research, discreet things that transphobic parents won't approve of, and dove through so many loopholes that made my journey through gender dsyphoria and discovering my identity so much easier but so much harder at the same time.
I thought that if I used all that I had gathered and put it all on one platform, specifically focusing on that one thing alone, it would give other people out there what I didn't have. A bit of ease through what is already such a tough journey.
JUST TO CLARIFY!!:
This blog is safe for all umbrellas of queer or straight origin.
This blog is safe for everyone.
This blog is NOT trying to "convert" people. The "transgender agenda" that transphobes seem to stamp all of us with is nothing more than wanting to be ourselves and feel comfortable as who we are.
If you are uncomfortable with this? Please, feel free to leave. I never asked for transphobes here and I certainly don't want them to stay.
This blog WILL be providing tips and tricks for all the handsome young boys and demiboys, beautiful little ladies and demiladies, gorgeous genderfluids, incredible enbies, and all of you wonderful somewhere-in-betweens!
Just what are these tips and tricks?
Tips and tricks will include how to pass as what society deems feminine or masculine.
I do not judge if you know you are a boy and want to be feminine, I do not judge if you know you are a girl and want to be masculine.
This is not meant to enforce society's ideals of the gender separated stereotypes, but rather showing you what those are and helping you present when in an unsafe space or an unaccepting space.
But what about asks and messages?
Please do not be afraid to shoot me a message through my inbox! Anonymous messages are completely acceptable and I am fully willing to answer any questions I can.
Don't be afraid to ask overly specific questions either! It could be an advice box if you need it :)
No transphobic or homophobic asks will be tolerated. You will be blocked, reported, and never seen on my blog again. This goes for transphobic jokes, memes, news articles, claims, scientific reports, etc.
THIS IS NOT A VENTING BOX!! I'm sorry in advance to my loves who are struggling with their lives right now but in order to help you if you submit an ask in the ask box, I must answer publicly. If you need to vent, don't be afraid to send me a message. :) I am here for you all and will listen to you all.
The admin of this blog does cope with ADHD (attention deficient hyperactive disorder ie. brain zoomies zoomz and cannot focus well, gets off task easily) and autism (ie. help me with social cues please I do not understand neurotypical people) so if you could use any of these codes at the beginning of a message I would greatly appreciate it!
(vent) - you would like to vent [ this is a rather general one ]
(help) - you would like advice with something included in your message
(word vomit) - you would like to rant about something in a negative way, like you had a bad day and need to get it off your chest
(rant) - you would like to talk to someone about something good or positive that may have happened :) THESE CAN BE SUBMITTED VIA ASKS IF YOU'D LIKE TO! this kind of ask will be included under the tag #trans positivity and will be made public to spread some hope and joy :)
What will this blog include other than just advice?
This blog will include all sorts of things, pertaining specifically to transgender people, regardless of transition status 🙏❤
This is a source of information, an outlet, and a friend to go to if you need a little boost.
Remember that I love you all, and you are all good people. No matter what others may say to you.
(P.S. please don't be afraid to repost screenshots on pinterest or other websites, I want this to reach as many people as it can 🙏🙏 this blog is only meant to help)

PERFECTIONISM KILLS CONFIDENCE
When you're a perfectionist, deep down it shows that you are lacking trust that a greater outcome can manifest.
Perfectionist tendencies can look like, doubting your abilities, procrastinating, poor boundaries, overthinking, people pleasing and self criticism.
When you strive to impress, get everything right, overthink, over-plan or compete to be the best— your energy gets completely drained.
The way to reverse perfectionism, is to develop trust in the unknown. Embrace flow, stay in the present moment and accept things as they are now.
Start where you are with what you have. Done is better than perfect.
Stop rushing and trust divine timing.
Stop competing and just exist as you are.
Listen to audio suggestions or empowering affirmations to your reprogram mindset and habits.
Learn to say no and protect your energy.
Embrace your flaws, gifts and talents.
Have confidence in your capabilities. Keep going even if no one is supporting or helping you.
Clap for yourself and be self-validated.
Be ok with disappointing others and making mistakes.

I wanted to do something a bit different this tgirl tummy Tuesday. So here's some sexy and informative stuff!
A lot of people tell me something like "how the fuck do you boymode?". My response is usually some combination of A, the parts of my face I hide are very masculine, and B, people are primed to see me as masc in day to day life so just don't think about it much.
And those are true, to an extent. But boymode vs girlmode is a bit more than clothes, and I wanted to do a video that can show that a bit. And hey, why not have a little fun and show off a little tummy with it?
There's a lot more I could be doing for the girlmode here. This is no makeup, still wearing a very compressive sports bra, and I didn't even adjust how I'm wearing my pants or the tightness. It's also not the most femme of outfits, just a woman's cut tank top. I could also do an actually femme looking ponytail that hides the hairline better- all ponytails in this post look pretty masculine, though. But I think this still shows the contrast pretty well.
The hairline does a lot of work here, but it's less than you think. Mostly, that's just a "primer" to get you to read the rest of me as more masc or femme overall.
If you're curious, here's some other pictures of each factor individually:
Boymode:

Girlmode:

😳🥺😳🥺😳🥺 mode:

Hopefully this was fun, and gave a little insight into my boymoding! Hopefully I won't have to deal with this in a couple months.
@lilithtransrights @xenasaur @godless-of-the-hunt , how was my analysis here?

Hello! Do you have any advice on how to properly integrate vegetables into pasta dishes? I've been trying to experiment with making my own pasta dishes lately without following a recipe, and generally they've been tasting good! But my problem is that when I chop up, cook the veggies in whatever way, and then throw them in with the cooked pasta, they tend to sink straight to the bottom when I try to mix them in. I feel like I'm missing something here 🤔 Thank you!
Veggies will naturally fall to the bottom of your noodle dish when mixed in, So, the issue you're dealing with is one of Presentation.
There's a couple ways to deal with this.
Chop your veggies up quite small (thumb-knuckle size or smaller) and integrate into the sauce however you want. You can then toss the noodles in the sauce before eating, and they should be relatively evenly distributed. Some will fall to the bottom, but you can upend the pasta as you serve it so the 'bottom' is turned around to the top, carrying the veggies with it.
Have bigger vegetable chunks in the sauce, but when serving the pasta, you toss the noodles in only a little bit of the sauce, and then ladle the rest on top. This way, you'll have more access to the big veggies, but your noodles will still be coated so there's no risk of having a patch of dry noodles.
Put dry noodles into a bowl/plate, then ladle the sauce with veggies on top of the pile. You can then garnish with cheese, herbs, bits of nuts, or whatever you want. The one eating it is responsible for mixing or not-mixing as they please. (You can also go SAUCE first, then noodles, then other stuff, it's up to you)
Restaurants cook a bunch of sauce and make noodles on-demand as the orders come in.
Method 3 is extremely popular because it's VERY EASY to do, and there's fewer dirtied dishes. You just take the ingredients, pile them on a plate, and send it out to the guest.
If it's tossed in sauce, it's done by putting a single serving of noodles into a bowl or pot with a single serving of sauce (and whatever protein/vegetables come with that dish), thoroughly tossing/flipping/mixing and then transferring all of it onto the plate. If any big chunks were in the sauce and clung to the bowl, they'll be scooped out and laid on top of the plate of pasta.
The home-kitchen method of mixing a many servings of pasta together with sauce, and doling it out onto individual plates....large chunks will fall to the bottom. There's not really a good way around that, aside from having VERY SMALL chunks or being meticulous about scooping the fallen chunks off the bottom to put onto the plate you're serving up.
Enjoy =)

Hey Mindy!!! I love your blog. I was wondering whether you have any tips for giving good presentations?? I’m really shy and I have a mock trial soon. I’m a witness hahaha I’m so nervous ! 😬

hey lovely!! 🤍
omg first of all, thank you so much for the sweet message!! i'm so happy you enjoy my blog. mock trial witnesses can be super intimidating (i've been there too!!) but i promise you're going to absolutely shine once you get some confidence tricks in your pocket.
✧ presentation power moves for the shy girlies ✧
1. preparation is your secret weapon
- memorize your witness statement until it feels like second nature
- practice in front of a mirror so you can see your facial expressions
- record yourself on your phone and listen back (yes it's cringey but sooo helpful)
- create a little character profile for your witness ~ their motivations, personality, quirks
- anticipate cross-examination questions that might trip you up
2. body language that commands attention
- sit up straight but not stiff
- keep your hands visible + still (fidgeting screams nervous)
- make strategic eye contact with the jury when making important points
- slightly lean forward when answering questions to show engagement
- practice a calm, neutral face for when opposing counsel tries to rattle you
3. voice control techniques
- speak slightly slower than your normal pace (nerves make us rush)
- end statements with downward inflection to sound confident
- pause before answering difficult questions (it looks thoughtful, not unsure)
- vary your tone to emphasize key points (monotone = boring witness)
- practice projecting from your diaphragm, not your throat
4. handling nervousness like a pro
- arrive early to familiarize yourself with the room
- do 4-7-8 breathing before you go in (inhale 4 counts, hold 7, exhale 8)
- wear something that makes you feel powerful but still appropriate
- create a pre-testimony ritual (mine is applying lip gloss + whispering "you got this")
- visualize success the night before (literally picture yourself being amazing)
5. witness-specific strategies
- stay in character even during objections
- if you don't know an answer, it's okay to say "i don't recall" (better than making things up!)
- listen to the FULL question before answering
- if opposing counsel tries to put words in your mouth, politely correct them
- remember: you're not only answering questions, you're telling a story
6. handling cross-examination gracefully
- take a sip of water if you need time to think
- don't argue with opposing counsel (it makes you look defensive)
- if they cut you off, pause and say "may i finish my answer?"
- maintain your composure even if they're trying to provoke you
- remember that "yes" and "no" can be complete answers
7. little psychological tricks
- wear something with a subtle confidence trigger
- have a "power phrase" to repeat silently when nervous
- visualize the jury as friends who are genuinely interested in what you have to say
- practice with someone who intimidates you a little (builds resilience)
- remember that literally everyone else is nervous too, they're just hiding it
8. day-of preparation
- avoid caffeine if it makes you jittery
- eat something light but sustaining
- arrive with plenty of time to center yourself
- bring a tiny comfort object that fits in your pocket
the jury will connect with authenticity over perfection every time!! your nervousness just means you care, and that passion will actually make you more compelling once you channel it properly.
you're going to absolutely crush this!! please let me know how it goes, i'm literally invested in your success now. sorry if this reply was a bit late.
xoxo, mindy 🤍
p.s. if you're super nervous the night before, try writing out your answers to potential questions by hand. something about the physical act of writing helps cement things in your memory better than just reading or typing!
