I’m hooked on the shadows. Today I practiced with some Spones!

I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out, but I’m not sure if I like it better with or without the words.

This is SUCH a McCoy poem to me. He is choosing to love even though he knows how bad it can go. He is chosing Spock. I love Spirk soul mates but I might love Spones making the choice to love each other even more.

Love love love characters that present themselves as emotionally open social butterflies but the more you see of them the more obvious it is that they’re the most closed off fuckers in the story. Sure, they want to help you with your personal problems and messy emotions, but if you turn that shit back on them, they’ll shut down or deflect every time. Why are you sticking your nose in their business anyway? It’s not like it matters. They’re not a person, they’re just a role being played. They’re the guy who fixes things and saves people. Please ignore the man behind the mask, he’s fine. Everything’s fine.

I did another picture for the @sponeszine shore leave edition, but in the couple days before submissions closed I was like dang! I wanna do one where they make out! So I did

It's just the crew getting lost (cos Sulu and Chekhov don't know how to read a paper map), so McCoy spies an opportunity to sneak off. Featuring one of my fave things about TOS, that Bones is so pushable. Jim and Spock manoeuver his body for him all the time and it's hilarious. That's why Spock is pushing him around in the middle panel lol, cos McCoy takes it
