It always pisses me off when I say my grandma was murdered and the minute people hear it was done by medical professionals, they no longer give a fuck. Not as in they don't care she's dead, but as in they believe it was just an accident, or it was inevitable because she was older, or it was her fault because she was mentally ill. Its as if murder via medical professionals/our healthcare system is invalid, people are just act like she fucking died-as if her life wasn't fucking stolen. Y'all don't know how common this shit is and I've seen it happen numerous times over, as well as seeing numerous attempts and its such a heavy weight to carry.
People act like I'm exaggerating or just shouldn't speak of it, because it reflects badly on our medical system and especially as someone who's mentally ill, someone who's crippled, its terrifying to see how easily it is for medical professionals to murder people like me and for us to just disappear as they go on living their life like nothing happened, watching eugenics play out right in front of you. And how the fuck are you even supposed to grieve when your loved one's death is "invalid" in people's eyes and you're not even supposed to discuss it? its a mess.

hi, welcome to my blog! ^_^ you may want to read this post before following. edited when needed.
links: neocities / cohost / bluesky / mastodon / pillowfort (rarely active on these i just made accounts on everything to see)
invite to discord server on request for mutuals or people i’ve interacted with
free palestine! 🇵🇸
ask to tag (dm or ask) if you want to filter anything!
interests / stuff I post
I like pure math and I'm studying it at university (bachelor). kind of my "main" special interest and has been since I was a kid.
I write stuff occasionally like poems and "fanfiction."
I sometimes make semi-coherent poasts about my miscellaneous opinions on social and political issues, philosophy, etc.
not a fandom blog but I post about things I read or watch sometimes. I like death note (number one fan of light yagami).
general / rules
asks are welcome but I am very slow (as in it takes months sometimes) at answering them. I am not ignoring you I am just so bad at this.
for privacy I don't want to share some things like where I'm from and I would appreciate if you don’t ask this type of question.
you can ask nicely if you need something tagged. I try to keep this blog generally pg-13.
english is not my first language but I'm at c2 level. I generally use american rather than british terms where there is a distinction.
please tell me if you think something I said was mean, bigoted, or problematic so I can improve in the future!
sometimes I will talk or reblog something about the discourse du jour but this is not a discourse blog.
no dni; I may block you if: you harass me or my followers, if I think it's likely that you will, or for other reasons (although I rarely do and mostly accidentally). you can ask to be unblocked.
please make a post or some indication you are not a bot.
do not take any of my posts as a call to violence towards any individual or group of individuals.
do not put discriminatory rhetoric on basis of race, skin color, ethnicity, nationality, assigned sex at birth, gender, sexual orientation, or disability on my posts. I try my best to keep this blog safe for people of marginalized identities.
miscellaneous positions / opinions
you are not required to agree to interact or follow
I'm a socialist (communist-adjacent as in closer to a marxist than an anarchist on most issues, but I don't use a more specific label. I try to stay open to learning about different ideas) and a (mostly classical) utilitarian.
anti-imperialist as in I oppose imperialism by the US and western countries and by other countries like russia too.
I try to have a nuanced view of historical socialist experiments (i am from an ex-socialist country btw).
inclusionist as in I think it's fine if people have any good faith and harmless identities, even contradictory ones. this doesn't include "radqueer" identities. I don't participate in queer discourse.
vegan for the animals and the environment.
irreligious atheist, no longer consider myself strictly anti-theist but adjacent.
not a fan of standpoint epistemology nor do I feel the need to prove I have it worse than someone else. pick and choose which privileged groups you want to implicitly assume I am part of (unless I explicitly state a fact about myself). it’s the internet.
I strongly disagree with the concept of collective guilt or collective punishment.
nationalism is cringe.
I do not want to hear about shipping discourse.
reblog ≠ endorsement of everything the OP ever said. also note I will sometimes interact or follow people I don't agree with on everything or even most things. I will sometimes reblog posts that are interesting but I do not necessarily endorse.
some posts (this section is a work in progress)
why i am anti anti civ
on autism: (x) (x)
on democracy under socialism
socialism vs communism vs regulated capitalism

Posts trying to get ppl not to be mad at Biden are so wild to me do u know how a democracy works. Ofc u should get mad at Biden like not to sound like a Hot Blooded American or whatever but it's ur goddamn right and responsibility to get mad and hold candidates responsible. Like that's the entire point of the concept of transparency and democracy 😭 setting aside whether I think its working (I don't) ppl who are so pro democracy they get upset at ppl criticizing the system is crazy. 'you don't know how good you have it' if ur really a democracy stan you wouldn't try to keep people in line with threats of a worse system, because having a democracy shouldn't be seen as something to be earned. It's literally a right and a bare minimum and should be seen as such.
Why are you determined to stop people from rallying for progress and change in a system that still commits genocide inside and ESP outside of America, is that not the whole thing America is so proud of? Rallying for change? They had the same democracy in the 1900s as lol and I don't see people getting retrospectively mad at people rallying for change back then. And then furthermore the 'what about blank which would be worse if trump came to office' doesn't work when the angriest people I've seen... are poc and esp MENA who are already suffering a lot or have families living in war zones, the concept of 'both systems are the same to my experience of suffering' is not a new thing 💀
You see this in some other countries where indigenous people/minorities may vote for the more conservative party bc the liberal party treats them just as poorly but with a better optics system... do people's experiences on the ground not matter anymore, oftentimes this comes from that.... literally why working class will vote for reactionaries. Instead of trying to push for a better left wing option that actually shows care for working class and tries to appeal to them, people just scold on tumblr dot com about not criticizing the lukewarm option too much or calling the genocidal empire a genocidal empire bc 'at least most ppl at home are treated well and have free speech'. That doesn't make it not an empire... the height of Japanese liberalism and democracy and openly allowed dissident/poor people pushing for change and being allowed literally happened in the middle of (brutally) colonizing Taiwan and Korea etc. no one is saying the US is the #1 worst country to live in lol of COURSE not. It's literally the privileged imperial core, unless ur one of the minorities going thru internal colonialism
