Bullying is crazy... I spent 13 years of my life forced to be at a certain location for 6+ hours almost every day, and at this location multiple of my peers would verbally harass or insult me, physically assault me, sexually harass me, socially ostracize me, every single day, for factors entirely outside of my control. And every adult who was ostensibly supposed to prevent this from happening either willfully ignored it or actively contributed to the bullying. And like, I'm supposed to just brush it off as "just bullying" and something that everyone goes through? Like I was literally in psychological torment camp every day for nearly my entire childhood and now I'm supposed to just function like a human being. Anyways what did you want on your sub. That he does everything he can to find Krypto bc “he’s alone… and probably scared.” The way he reacts to Krypto’s kidnapping is another way for them to establish his character as a complete boyscout. A do-gooder. Are we so cynical that we can’t even accept that at face value?? That we have to come up with ulterior motives??

yeah yeah fire-based characters are destructive and angry and violent and evil blah blah blah BORING overdone. more fire as a lifegiver. warm and comforting. fire-based characters as guides lighting the way. personal heater in the cold and dark but don’t sleep too close or you’ll wake up with heat rash. fire sterilizes and cauterizes!! more fire-based healers. plants perking up and flowers turning towards them and they attract moths. fire-based characters who are hearths instead of wildfires!! the core of a home the pillar of a community the key to societal advancement. give them an internal flame that visibly glows and flickers instead of a heart that beats. extinguish that light when they die. etc

I wish we talked more about how alienating it is as you get older to have no dating experience. Everyone around you talks about exes and awkward dates and all the people that have asked them out. Everyone has funny and awkward stories of romance. And you kind of just sit there with nothing to contribute.

Eventually it feels like you're the only one who didn't at least try dating several people in your teens and early 20s. It feels like this formative experience that you're just....missing.

as happy as i am that we're getting shown essek + volstrucker action from the get-go, i really really really hope they don't try to tie in the m9 into the overarching plot immediately and instead let them find their footing for a bit. my absolute favorite parts of the campaign are the early episodes where they're genuinely just wandering around looking for money and shelter like i want to see them painstakingly divy up copper and argue over halves. i want to see them bicker over roommates and pastries and slightly more expensive ales. i want a full sideplot of beau trying to pawn off nott's stolen jewelry for a little extra cash without her finding out. i want to see them genuinely have to think about food and shelter and clothes. episodes 1-26 or so of the campaign manage to characterize every single party member so vividly and get you so personally invested in their success until you reach the point where '1000 gold' stops being a macguffin or empty number and starts being a real, concrete goal. you're not just rooting for them to be rich-- you're rooting specifically for caleb to be able to buy his books, get a new coat, return nott the favour; jester to buy her pastries and dye her bag pink; beau and fjord to get their buffs from pumat. the early days put into immense perspective the insanity that comes with later plot progression and make the campaign what it is -- really, genuinely a story about nobodies stumbling their way into empire-scale politics and world-ending demigods.
