Just another (gentle) reminder that I block any blogs who follow me that have disordered eating, diet, and/or thinspo related stuff on it. Especially en masse.
My veganism, my body, what I do IE health and exercise, etc. will not be used as a model for others to use to potentially harm themselves.
My genuine hope for folks like this is that they get the help they need to have a better/neutral relationship to their bodies, to food, to exercise, etc.

10/25/24 wt 191 point something.
Despite yesterday's struggle, I did "ok."
I pushed myself to refocus from food or doing something stupid successfully for the most part.
The gym helped. Did the stairs, avoiding moving the rib and shoulder areas. Treated myself to tanning before and a hydromassage after.
Talked to a friend on the way home. I am kind of annoyed with people generally since the pandemic. A couple days ago, this friend wanted to go "out for a margarita" on the day of the election. I said No, I will not be doing that. I did find a activity class that I was interested in. I sent it to her and (no surprise here) she is going home to watch results instead. Her patteis9ver the last 24 years is...she doesn't really meet anywhere. The only way we visit is primarily me going to her house. She said something the other day about "happy hour" at Paradiso and I said no, I don't do that. But my real question is- why are you even suggesting that? I am not going to a damn happy hour alone and I know damn well you ain't going.
I got home, took some fun time CBD and a hot shower with aromatherapy to relax.
I did eat more pie after my pictured food here. But that was the only fuck up for the day and I am just moving on. I think it was the CBD bahahahaaa It was a low sugar "protein" pie so even if I ate half, it would be less than 800 cals. A way better option than the danish I was eyeing and able to avoid. There was also some unpictire artic zero. Again, whatever.
Food & meal pics
I did ok.
Hard days happen. It is how we respond to them that counts. Typing it out here helped. Gym helped. Good satiating food helped. Super proud of myself for all of that.
Giving myself a mental hug and facing today head on.

Morning Flexibility Routine (30min x 2)
Warm-up (5 minutes):
Start with 2 minutes of light cardio, such as jogging in place or marching in place, to increase blood flow and warm up your muscles.
Spend 3 minutes performing dynamic stretches, such as arm circles, leg swings, and torso twists, to prepare your body for the flexibility exercises.
Flexibility Circuit (20 minutes):
Perform each exercise for 1 minute, moving from one exercise to the next without rest. Complete the circuit two times.
Standing forward fold: Stand with feet hip-width apart, hinge at the hips, and fold forward, reaching towards your toes. Hold the stretch and feel the lengthening in your hamstrings and lower back.
Butterfly stretch: Sit on the floor, bend your knees, and bring the soles of your feet together. Hold your feet and gently press your knees toward the floor, feeling the stretch in your hips and inner thighs.
Seated forward fold: Sit with your legs extended in front of you, reach forward, and try to touch your toes or grab onto your ankles. Feel the stretch in your hamstrings and lower back.
Child's pose: Kneel on the floor, sit back on your heels, and lower your torso forward, reaching your arms out in front of you. Relax and feel the stretch in your lower back and hips.
Cat-cow stretch: Start on all fours, arch your back up towards the ceiling (cat pose), and then drop your belly down while lifting your chest and looking up (cow pose). Repeat, flowing between the two positions.
Standing quad stretch: Stand tall, grab your ankle, and gently pull your heel towards your glutes. Feel the stretch in the front of your thigh (quadriceps).
Chest and shoulder stretch: Interlace your fingers behind your back, straighten your arms, and gently lift them up, feeling the stretch in your chest and shoulders.
Spinal twist: Sit on the floor with your legs extended, cross one leg over the other, and rotate your torso towards the bent leg. Hold the stretch and then switch sides.
Cool-down (5 minutes):
Finish with 5 minutes of static stretching for your major muscle groups.
Hold each stretch for 15-30 seconds, focusing on your hamstrings, quadriceps, hips, back, shoulders, and chest.

Creole Seasoning Blend: The Spice Mix That Transforms Dishes
If you're a fan of adding a burst of flavour to your dishes, you've probably come across the term "Creole seasoning blend" at some point. In this article, we'll delve into the world of Creole seasoning, exploring its origins, ingredients, and how you can use it to elevate your culinary creations.
What is Creole Seasoning Blend?
Creole seasoning is a zesty and aromatic spice mix used in Southern cuisine, particularly in Creole and Cajun dishes. It's renowned for its ability to infuse dishes with a bold and tantalising flavour profile. This seasoning blend can be the secret weapon in your kitchen, adding depth and complexity to a wide range of recipes.
A Brief History of Creole Cuisine
To truly understand Creole seasoning, it's essential to grasp the rich history of Creole cuisine. Creole cooking is deeply rooted in the multicultural influences of Louisiana, particularly New Orleans. It's a fusion of French, Spanish, African, and Native American culinary traditions.
The word "Creole" itself refers to the descendants of European settlers in the region, but over time, Creole cuisine evolved to include a diverse array of ingredients and cooking techniques. Creole seasoning emerged as a cornerstone of this cuisine, contributing its unique blend of flavours to countless iconic dishes.
The Ingredients in Creole Seasoning Blend
Creole seasoning typically contains a medley of spices and herbs. While the exact ingredients may vary from one blend to another, common components include paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, and salt. These ingredients work in harmony to deliver a spicy, savoury, and slightly smoky flavour that's unmistakably Creole.
How to Use Creole Seasoning in Your Cooking?
One of the beauties of Creole seasoning is its versatility. You can use it to add depth to meats like chicken, pork, or shrimp, or sprinkle it onto vegetables and potatoes before roasting. It's also a key player in classic dishes like jambalaya, gumbo, and red beans and rice. Just a pinch or two can transform an ordinary meal into a culinary masterpiece.
Where to Buy or Make Your Own Creole Seasoning
When it comes to Creole seasoning, you have two main options: buying it pre-made or making your own at home. Many grocery stores carry commercially prepared Creole seasoning, often in convenient shaker bottles. These are a great choice if you're looking for convenience and consistency.
If you prefer to craft your own seasoning blend, it's easy to do so with readily available spices. By adjusting the proportions of ingredients to your taste, you can create a customised blend that suits your palate perfectly. A homemade Creole seasoning can be a source of pride in your kitchen.
Final Thoughts
Creole seasoning spice blend is a culinary treasure with roots in the vibrant and diverse Creole cuisine of Louisiana. Its combination of spices and herbs adds depth and character to a wide range of dishes, from seafood to meats and vegetables. Whether you choose to buy it pre-made or make your own, this seasoning blend is sure to become a staple in your kitchen.
So, the next time you're looking to spice up your meals, don't forget to reach for that trusty Creole seasoning. Its unique flavours will transport your taste buds to the heart of the South, creating a dining experience that's nothing short of magical.

I'm glad I have enough spoons to make phone calls today.
I called the clinic that might help me get on PrEP. I will be seen in late December. I look forward to being on medication that will prevent me from catching HIV, even if that means lots of blood work.
I gotta call back the clinic that managed my testosterone next, but I also just called insurance for a ride to see my sleep specialist next Thursday. I'm going to try to get a CPAP mask that won't blow air into my eyes or give me as many sensory issues.
I also initiated the process to get a different care coordinator- one that might actually get me the level of support I require.
While I am at it, maybe I should finally look for a nutritionist who can help me lose some more weight. I'll try the UNM Truman Clinic. My goal weight for the hysterectomy is now 235 pounds but I'd like to get down to about 200.
My goal weight before I get top surgery would be even less, but we will see what is realistic.
I like to eat, after all.

**optional snack up to 100 cals
Dinner options:
Monday: Eggs & guac sandwich: Toast with scrambled eggs and guac
Tuesday: Carrot pancakes: 1/2 c whole wheat flower, 2 eggs, 1 tbs olive oil, shredded carrot, topped with maple syrup
Wednesday: Cheesy scramble: Scrambled eggs, melted cheese, rice/quinoa, topped with hot sauce

I'm going to try to follow this menu. I'm focusing more on whole foods and protein. And I want to cut out mac n cheese and pull back more on pasta. My goal is daily exercise! I'm okay with slightly upping my calories as long as I am building muscle to counteract, although I will still pay attention to calories and limit when possible. But I think cutting back too much is slowing down my metabolism.
