A patron came in to the library a few weeks ago looking for a copy of "The Tale of Peter Rabbit". She said she wanted to replicate Peter's coat for her daughter's rabbit. god i knew trans rights in the UK have been deteriorating for years but it's terrifying seeing how every time the mainstream response seems to be "well at least you still have human rights." like why the fuck are we being told to settle for the bare minimum. i don't give a shit if trans women are still protected under discrimination laws or trans teenagers can still get therapy to cope with the fact they can't get puberty blockers. the people who want us dead are cheering in the streets for yet another step towards eradication and all our so called allies are standing there saying "well it could be worse". i feel sick.
