✸ ꒰ morning routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🧼 First things first, after you wake up make sure to drink water to boost your metabolism throughout the day! Also, create a mind movie so you can watch it everyday after you wake up.
Now, take your journal and start writing about your dream, ideal higher self, ask yourself questions like ‘What reality do i want to create?´ 'Who do i look up to?’ ‘What is the behavior I need to change about myself?’ ‘What's a new habit that I would like to create?’ ‘What is a thing I can focus on right now?’. After we have in mind who we want to become, it's important that every little decision you make today is centered to achieve your goals, and become your dream self. You can listen to a podcast while doing this so you get motivation!
💶 Then, head to the bathroom and look at yourself in the mirror and start repeating positive affirmations, such as ‘I am so beautiful’ or ‘My hair looks so pretty today’, even if you don't believe it, having a positive mindset is going to help us to stay in track with our goals!
Take care of your teeth, Liz says that our smile is one of the most important things in a person, and one of the key things that is going to make you more attractive! so, make sure to brush your teeth, floss, clean your tongue, etc.
🛣 Liz has a rather simple skincare routine, since her skin is so sensitive, it only consists of using a foam cleanser, moisturizer and eye cream to help with her eye bags.
Next step is to research and find our own personal clothing and makeup style, find out your body type, personal color, face shape, etc. It doesn't matter if you have to mix multiple styles that already exist to make your own! The most important thing is to feel comfortable while wearing those clothes or having that type of makeup on your face.
🏔 Liz doesn't like to force herself to have breakfast, she just dont eat if she's not hungry, however if you are hungry rather than focusing on calories focus on how nutritious your meal is. Whatsoever if you are not hungry and you are not going to eat, make sure to always take your vitamins and supplements!
✸ ꒰ study routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
Yes, it's time to drink a little more water!
⛰ Liz doesn't have a settled study routine but, it's important to spend our time wisely, if you can finish an assignment way before the time it's due, DO IT! Also, she emphasized that knowledge leads to confidence. If you put effort in your studies, every little thing in your life will slowly fall into place.
✸ ꒰ workout routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
First, set healthy goals, like toning up your body or building muscle, try not to make ‘just being skinny’ your goal.
🧩 second, don't measure yourself with a scale or measuring tape and focus on how you look in the mirror, are you satisfied? if you are then you are done with the intense workout routine!
Liz goes to the gym and has her own personal training program, but here’s some kind of exercises she recommends; weight training, pilates and dancing with her main focus being toning up her abs and butt.
🏄♀️ Remember to drink water and that consistency is more important than perfection, go at your own pace, it doesn't matter if you can't do a 2 hour workout and look snatched in 3 days and you can only do a 5 minute workout, every little effort adds up!
✸ ꒰ shower and self care routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
Before showering, do dry brushing to exfoliate your skin and increase circulation (1-2 times per week). Then use shampoo and conditioner, research to find the best one for you, what may help others won't help you. Liz also uses a hair mask 1 to 2 times per week to get that shiny silk hair.
🎾 After showering take some time to shape and pluck your eyebrows depending on your face shape and what impression you want to give!
Liz uses face masks 1 to 2 times per week to cleansing her face deeply, then she does her skincare. After applying all the products do a lymphatic massage on your face and neck, you can also cool down your face with massagers or cold spoons for an extra depuff.
🍾 For self care, you can journal again, search for shadow work prompts, think of what things you should unlearn and relearn and don't forget to practice gratitude. Or you can take time to clean your room or house, you deserve to have a clean safe place!
Oh! and don't forget to drink water again.
✸ ꒰ night routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🧃 Time for dinner! (only if you are not full yet), again, make sure to focus on nutrients rather than calories. Don't forget to drink a glass of water with your dinner. You can watch a documentary while eating to keep gaining even more knowledge.
Now, do your oral hygiene routine again. Also, put on eyelash conditioner and serum to wake up with perfect lashes! Then wear a silk cap or do a protective hairstyle to protect your hair from getting damaged while you're sleeping.
🍵 Then get in bed and drink a cup of tea with collagen to start relaxing your body. and it's finally time to manifest! watch your mind movie again and use your most useful method (affirming visualizing, subliminals, etc.), don't forget to ask god, the universe or whatever you believe in for signals and help!
Afterwards, you can read an inspirational book like ‘atomic habits’ or ‘the art of thinking clearly’ to keep nourishing your brain. keep a reachable goal like reading 5 pages everyday and then decide if you want to continue reading or not.
🥬 Before sleeping listen to a guided meditation, liz have one to be more confident and one to attract money, choose one that aligns with your goals!
Finally fall asleep in a healthy sleeping position, Liz sleeps in her back looking at the roof, but you can choose your favorite position, don't forget to get a pillow that fits the position (example: tall and lofty pillow -> for sleeping on your side)
🍈 Good night!
Woah second request done!! hope you liked this one was pretty fun to do and I might add some of these things in my own personal routine so I don't fall back into laziness, anyways how about you guys??
toodlezzzz!1!!!!!

𓍯˚˖🕷️★🕸️જ — MOST BEAUTIFUL THING.
˚.🖋️◗ xavier thorpe x fem!reader
summary: some aftercare hc’s for our favorite giant of nevermore <3
warnings: implied sexual content, comfort, light subspace, crying, nudity, heavy fluff, angst if you squint
a/n: this is for all my friends who cry AFTER sex :)
—
not once in your life did you predict you’d end up with someone so perfect for you.
xavier thorpe, in all his beauty, was officially deemed the love of your life. sure, you’re teenagers, but with the imprint he’s left on your heart, you’re not so sure anyone else could fill the xavier-shaped space you’ve made in there.
and even after all he’s gone through, all that he has to deal with, he’ll always do exactly what you need, especially in these moments
when you’ve come down from both of your last climaxes, your body still quakes in the aftermath. the fire still burns in your stomach, white hot and unrelenting. xavier’s hands always snake around to hold you to his chest, s stilling your body from the violent contractions pleasure has brought you
each time you blink with the utmost lack of speed, he plants a kiss upon your eyelids, pulling away each time to observe how your eyes are glossed over, and it almost looks like some color has drained from your irises
he’s never bothered by the time you start crying. he just kisses the tears on your face as his hands find purchase in your hair, gently stroking to comfort.
“you did so good, y/n. such a good girl, my pretty girl.”
of course, you sob harder at that.
“i’m right here, you’re gonna be okay. you tired, baby?”
when you give the weakest nod, xavier’s hold on you tightens. the both of you know that even though you’re tired as fuck, he needs to help you get back to earth and take care of your body. he loves the way your mind falls though, and you love it too. relinquishing yourself to his care is the best part of sex with xavier.
after a couple minutes of laying down in his hold, praises and ‘i love you’s whispered so softly into your ears, your eyes open once more, tears halted.
“wanna get ready for bed? i know you don’t want to stand, so we’ll shower tomorrow morning. i’m gonna help you, okay?”
you give him the okay, and he picks you up, your legs wrapping around his torso, arms dangling from around his neck. he walks you to your bathroom, and sits you down atop the sink.
“one blink for cleanser, two for micellar water.”
you blink twice, and he reaches under the sink for the micellar water and the cotton pads. he removes your makeup that was cried off during sex, swiping at the leftover mascara with a slight smile.
once he’s done with that, everything else in your skincare routine comes to him with ease. he knows to pat, not rub, and to moisturize when your skin is damp with facial mist. he doesn’t even forget the facial oil at the end.
he grabs a comb from the drawer to his right, and begins to unknot your messy hair, the teeth of the comb picking at the problem areas. once he’s done, he moves your hair from your face with whatever is lying on the counter.
the two of you are sentient to the fact you’re still naked. he picks you back up and you cling onto him as he walks back into the room and starts grabbing clothes from the dresser.
he sits you on the bed and pulls a t shirt over your body, then lifts your legs so he can gently slide your panties up your legs, careful not to let them slap against your sensitive skin. the shorts come on after, then the fluffiest of socks he knows you love.
after he moves you to lay on the pillows, your eyes droop down, and you don’t even know when he gets dressed. but after a couple of moments, the bed sinks next to you, and the lights shut off immediately following. xavier’s arm snakes around your body, recreating that same hold he had on your body before.
he presses a kiss against your head, beginning to whisper into your hair. “i love you so much, let’s get some rest, okay? gonna do a lot tomorrow, aren’t we? like we always do. love doing things with you.”
your heart warms at his words, and at the fact that you get to do this with him most nights. and you drift off to sleep with ease.

Vogue Beauty Secrets With Lyla Blair & Mystery Man
(aka Jeremy Swayman)
Jeremy Swayman x Lyla Blair
A ‘The Masterminds’ Fic
Warnings: none that I can think of (let me know if I missed any)
Takes place late April 2024
“Hi, I’m Lyla Blair and this is my guide to glowy skin and the perfect date night look!” Lyla introduces herself to the camera.
Her eyes flit to everything laid out on Jeremy’s ensuite countertop, patting herself on the back for not forgetting her skincare and makeup when she was hurriedly packing a bag for the weekend. She accidentally forgot that she had to film a beauty secrets video for Vogue, so she took the opportunity to film it before her date with Jeremy.
“I have fairly good skin. I mean don’t get me wrong, I get the sparse breakout every now and then- usually during my period, but I’d say my skin is pretty clear. My first step in my skincare routine is this Vanicream cleanser,” she showcases the bottle and pumps some of the liquid in her hand.
“It’s very light and when you lather it, it gets slightly foamy. I love it because my skin can be sensitive. I think it’s important to remember to treat your face delicately, so don’t harshly rub your face when you wash it.” The girl says, demonstrating her words.
“Babe, which watch should I wear?” Jeremy’s voice can be heard in the background, making Lyla hesitantly turn toward where he walks in. Her face is covered in suds and water drips down her arms. She tries to remain stoic to the camera, but on the inside she’s freaking out a little bit. Her relationship with Jeremy isn’t public, but this could very well launch them in the public eye.
“The silver one. It pairs well with the blue,” she says, turning back around as if she never looked away.
“Next up is a light serum! I like to use something with vitamin C to brighten up my skin, and basically even out my tone.”
She pats a small amount of the serum around her eyes, a small giggle bubbles up her throat at Jeremy purposely singing obnoxiously to one of her songs.
“Next up is moisturizer and sunscreen. I love sunscreen, especially as someone who grew up in Houston, Texas. Everyone knows it’s very hot and sunny down there. For moisturizer I use the vanicream brand, because it’s not too light nor too heavy and it’s not greasy at all,” Lyla explains, continuing working the products into her skin.
“Here you go, Ly,” Jeremy places a glass of ice water next to her, a glimpse of his arm being caught on camera.
Lyla can’t contain her emotions, not when her eyes soften and cheeks grow a light shade of red. Jeremy knows that she loves to have a glass of water while getting ready. It can be getting ready for the day, an outing, or to go to sleep.
“Thank you, baby,” she says in awe, her eyes fixated on him and his dazzling smile.
“I love a good glass of cold water while getting ready. Also putting on lip balm before I start any makeup,” Lyla says to the camera, still feeling awfully giddy by her boyfriend’s sweet gesture.
It’s the little things!
“Do you guys have a small skincare routine or a long one? I’m always so curious because I’ve met many people who do simple routines since their skin is acne prone, but I’ve also met people who have a long routine with many products but it just works so well for them. I love the versatility,” she talks animatedly while going on a tangent about skincare.
“So, we’re done with our skin and now we move onto makeup. As I said in the beginning, this is my favorite look for date nights.”
“She doesn’t need any makeup whatsoever,” Jeremy inputs, coming closer to Lyla. Only the bottom half of his face (starting at his bottom lip) and down is captured by the lens.
Lyla looks up at him, cheeks continuously burning and eyelashes batting at him.
“I don’t?” She asks with a sly smile. She reaches out to his wrists and rolls up the sleeves of his button up. Butterflies flutter around her stomach at the way he looks at her.
“No, you’re perfect, baby,” he whispers, but it’s still caught by the mic of the camera.
She flashes him a toothy smile, biting on her bottom lip when he leans closer. His hand goes to her throat to tilt her head back and he slants his lips over hers. Lyla’s breath hitches and she can feel the want transferred from his saccharine kiss. When he pulls away, she has to shake off all her other thoughts and focus back on the video. A difficult task when she can still taste him on her tongue.
The camera lens only captures the sight of his hand on her throat and how his bearded jaw and lips encase hers. Little did they know that the familiar motion would spark up many comments later in the week.
“Sorry about that, guys. That was my boyfriend and we’re actually going on a date in like an hour. That means we have to do a speedy routine,” she says, trying to act unfazed even though she can still feel her lips tingling.
“The lineup for tonight's pretty small as I’m staying at my boyfriend’s house, so I don’t have all my makeup products,” Lyla explains as she gathers and organizes her makeup.
“Tonight we’re doing light concealer, a smokey, siren type of eye look, with some blush and a nude lip. It’s very simple!”
The singer shows each product she’ll be using before she starts with her eyeshadow.
“So… did y’all buy tickets for my tour? If you did, leave a comment stating what show you’re attending. I’m so excited! I think I saw that my Houston, Boston, and New York shows were sold out. Like you don’t understand how amazing that is. It makes me very happy! My music career has come a long way,” Lyla rambles, pausing her strokes on her eyelids in between each few words as the excitement takes over. There’s a noticeable shine glimmering in her eyes.
She catches a glimpse of Jeremy smiling proudly at her from the corner of her eye. It makes her blush even more than she already is.
“Okay! This is the eye look. The messier the better, especially bc J and I are going to a place with low lighting,” Lyla does a little pose, not realizing she said her little nickname for Jeremy.
As she puts on her eyeliner and mascara, she can feel Jeremy’s stare on her.
“I usually tend to start applying my mascara to the tips of my lashes just so that they stay curled,” she turns toward him, eyes playfully glaring at him before getting back to what she is doing.
The hair on her arms and the back of her neck still rise, the intensity of his stare is strong and lingering. She tries to not let her eyes slide back over to him, but she can’t help the way they move on their own accord. She also can’t help the infectious giggle that slips from her mouth when he smiles at her.
“Is it weird that I apply my winged eyeliner after mascara? I just find it easi-“ she also can’t help the way her words die on her tongue while she’s under his gaze.
“Sorry, easier,” she finishes her interrupted sentence, another giggle going past her lips.
“Baby, can I put on your blush?” Jeremy asks and Lyla immediately nods her head.
“I’m just going to let you do it and not instruct you,” she giggles and turns to face him.
Her eyes are level with his chest, so she uses his shoulders to help her stand on her tiptoes. A hand holds her blush brush while the other settles on her waist, making her feel light and on fire all at once.
“Ohhh the pressure is on. Okay! I got this. On the apples of the cheeks right?” He asks, poking one of her cheeks.
“I don’t know,” she teases, poking at his ribs.
Lyla giggles as he drags the brush along her cheeks. Her hands reach out to clutch onto his button up.
“So J decided to do my blush. Let’s see if he does a good job! I’m not a makeup artist at all, but I have learned a lot from previous concerts and shoots. I think I’m pretty decent at doing my own makeup now,” Lyla turns her head to the camera and talks, trying to distract herself from Jeremy’s attention and the way his slight touch on her skin makes her shiver.
“Okay, how does it look?” His voice is low and honeyed, it makes Lyla’s knees weak.
She walks closer to the large mirror, inspecting her boyfriend’s work. She hums and haws in a way to tease him while he waits patiently for an answer. Eyes crinkling up in a smile when Jeremy lets out a playfully, tortured laugh.
“What do you guys think? Did my boyfriend do a good job? I think he did pretty good,” she speaks to the camera, a twinkle in her eye because she’s actually impressed with how well her man did.
“Thank you, baby,” again, his hand comes up to her neck to keep her still while his lips encase hers. It’s a sucking kiss, almost too much to be filmed for many people to see, but they don’t care.
“Time for the lips,” Lyla giggles, eyes half lidded and lips red.
“Baby, what lip product should I use? Lipstick, so I don’t get glitter in your beard?” She asks, holding up different options for him to choose from.
“Ly, I don’t care if you get glitter in my beard. Really, baby,” Jeremy says, reassuring her when he catches her questioning gaze.
Lyla looks at the camera, a smile plastered all over her face and her eyes looking lovesick. Her shoulders rise and fall with the contented sigh she lets out.
“Okay! Lip gloss it is then,” she jumps in excitement and applies her lip gloss while dancing around.
“This is my date night makeup look. Now all I have to do is toss my hair around and put on an outfit and I’m set. This has been really fun, and I hope you all enjoy my beauty secrets. And I really hope to see all of you lovely people on tour. Love ya, bye!” Lyla blows kisses to the camera, smiling in genuine happiness.
“My girl is so beautiful,” Jeremy comes up behind her and encircles his arms around her neck, his chin resting on the top of her head.
“You’re so handsome. Let me get dressed and we can head out,” she presses a chaste kiss to his lips and walks over to her bag.
He slaps her ass, smirking at her when she turns around with a loud squeal. She sends him a half glare, half smile, but winks at him before she’s out of sight.
Later that week, both of their phones are blowing up with various notifications from different social media platforms. Every tweet and post is about the rumored man in Lyla’s Vogue video. Everyone is shocked to see that the newest pop sensation has a man, and one that they have no idea who it could be. But that’s the thing, many of Lyla’s fans also happen to be hockey fans who know that beard and voice anywhere.
a/n: Okay! I really enjoyed writing this one, so I hope you all love it!!

hey kallamar, whats your skincare routine like? i need your wisdom
"This will of course depend on your skin type [oily, acne-prone, dry or sensitive] Mine requires hydrating and foaming elements." "You'll start by mixing the cleanser with water."
"Step 2, massage it into your skin."
"Step 3, Rinse well and pat your skin dry."
"Place the toner on a cotton pad or other applicator and spread gently over your face," "Step 5, use serums that reintroduce things like antioxidants and vitamin C to the skin."
"For eyes as luxurious as mine, eye cream is a must to deter unsightly wrinkles and dark circles."
"Cucumbers are a pretty big import in Anchordeep, and before you say it NO sea cucumbers are not something equivalent we could cultivate!" <o|>8(
"Next, use a moisturizer, it keeps things hydrated and soft and strengthens your skin,"
"The final step in your morning routine. Admittedly we don't get much sun here in the lands, especially in Silk Cradle and Anchordeep for obvious reasons, but it's especially necessary when I visit Narinder."
"For your nighttime routine steps 10 through 13 (1-4) are the same as your morning routine, so we'll skip going over that again."
"Putting on a serum before bed helps to remove dead cells and encourage new cell growth, as well as helping reduce pores and wrinkles."
“Step 15: Eye Cream, like earlier this is very helpful to keep the skin underneath in order."
"Now obviously I don't have acne, but it's best to be preventative of these sorts of things."
"The final step in your perfect skin routine is to apply night cream in order to keep your skin well moisturized as you sleep."
"Follow all these steps and you will have a chance to have skin close to as healthy as mine!"

this post will go over basic information like skin type and how to determine it as well as more in depth info about types of cleansers, moisturisers and sunscreen, how to choose and apply them. Whether you should incorporate toners, essences, serums, masks, or exfoliants into your skincare routine and what to look for in them. As well as some more general lifestyle tips and what kinds of products you should be using at your current age or consider getting in the future.
To determine skin type
Wash your face and let it air dry .
If it feels tight and itchy you have dry skin . You may also see fine lines or flakes on your skin .
If your skin is oily you’ll have more visible pores and your skin will be shiny . This skin type is usually prone to acne , black heads , and white heads .
If it feels tight in certain places or has large pores in some areas but not others. If you notice aspects of both skin types on different parts of your face. Congratulations you have combination skin .
If none of these apply to you and your face doesn’t feel oily or dry then you've got normal skin .
Some people view sensitive as a skin type , I personally don't. Sensitivity can be developed or be sensitive in combination with another skin type .
As you age your skin tends to become thinner and dryer.
cleanse
The types of cleansers
Micellar water - tiny oil molecules suspended in soft water which attract oil and dirt . Especially recommended for those with sensitive skin .
Foam - start out as gel or cream and lather to foam and removes all excess oil from the skin . Which is good for combination skin
Gel - similar to foam cleanser. Good for acne prone or oily skin
Lotion - because of their consistency they’re less stripping thus suitable for sensitive dry skin
Balm - if you wear a lot of makeup, especially if your makeup is waterproof this is for your . Rub the balm over your face . They also have hydrating benefits which makes them perfect for dry skin .
Oil Based - contrary to popular belief oily skin types can use oil cleansers without fear of side effects. They remove dirt without disturbing your skin barrier or drying out your skin .
Clay - draw out all excess oils and toxins from your skin . Not suitable for dry skin as it may be overly stripping but are perfect for sensitive oily or combination .
Wipes - requires no real explanation . You just wipe your skin with the little disposable cloth .
How to use them
wash your hands so you don’t transfer more germs onto your face , that would defeat the purpose of cleansing
Wet your face
Now rub the cleanser of choice between your hands . You only need a pea to a blueberry amount . Some will foam , others will cream , and then there are those that won’t really do anything.
Rub the cleanser gently in circular motions all over your face . Emphasis on the gentle part . Use your pointer and middle finger and imagine you’re washing someone else’s face .
You should do this for no more than a minute , any longer could be stripping to your skin
If your skin is super dry you can use a cleanser once a day so you don’t over strip your skin . cleanse with product at night to get rid of all the impurities picked up during the day and in the morning all you did was sleep in a clean room in a clean bed . That doesn’t mean don’t wash your face in the morning . You should still be using water to wash your face . Not just rinsing , actually wash your face .
If you don’t have this issue you can try double cleansing . This is when you cleanse first with an oil based cleanser then with a water based cleanser . We double cleanse because not all impurities are water soluble . Double cleansing helps to thoroughly cleanse your skin . This method works well if you wear a lot of thick , heavy makeup . Bear in mind that it would be too stripping to double cleanse every day , twice a day. if you really want to double cleanse every night and you’re hydrating your skin well afterwards there should be no problem .
Protect
After cleansing you need to protect your skin . During the day you protect it with sunscreen and during the night you use a moisturiser . I have really dry skin so I use a moisturiser in the morning as well .
A rule of thumb don’t mix your sunscreen and moisturiser ( or any of your skincare products ) layer them .
Sunscreen
There are two number values on the bottle PA and SPF.
SPF stands for sun protection factor, refers to how long protection lasts and protects you from uv rays that cause sunburn. Generally SPF 15 blocks 93% of UV rays and SPF 30 blocks about 97%. Spf that is too high isn’t good for your skin but ideally you want to use spf50 when going outdoors.
PA protects you from uv rays that accelerates aging. Here you want to focus on the number of plus signs on the bottle as they indicate the effectiveness of the product.
Even with sunscreen it’s still advised you stay out of direct sunlight for long periods of time. So wear a hat if you can’t avoid it .
Types of Sunscreen
Chemical - are absorbed into your skin and turn uv rays into energy before they can hurt your skin . Sensitive skin may want to stay away from this type as it could cause a bad reaction . Don’t rule chemical sunscreen out completely though. It may have been one bad brand or ingredient . Note this sunscreen needs to be applied first as it has to penetrate your skin .
Physical - sits on top of your skin and act like a shield from uv rays which means it needs to be applied last . Because they sit on your skin they’re thicker and tend to leave a cast so people with darker skin may prefer chemical sunscreen .
Powder and spray - is more of a reapplication than a primary sunscreen . The idea is you use your physical or chemical sunscreen and every two hours you reapply a powder or spray sunscreen .
How to use sunscreen
Cleanse
Dot a teaspoon amount of sunscreen all over your face (and body)
Gently massage it into your skin . I’ll say that again : Gently , gently massage
Reapply every two hours
If you wear makeup it’s best to apply physical sunscreen over makeup as you’ll have to do so anyway when you reapply .
Moisturiser
Types of moisturisers
Humectants - attract water and slow down evaporation usually comes in gel formulas . They absorb into the skin quickly making them best for oily skin types .
Emollients - fills the gaps between skin with hydrating oils and lipids . These have a light cream or lotion consistency . This type best for dry or combination skin .
Occlusives - seals in moisture and stops it from evaporating . They come in thick creams and balms . Perfect for dehydrated , dry , mature skin .
How to apply moisturiser
Cleanse face and apply chemical sunscreen if using
Then apply moisturiser , a pea to blueberry sized amount
Dab it all over your face
Soothe each up and across your face in circular motions
Again be very gentle using your middle and forefingers
These are the foundations of skincare. Consider the next sections only after you have these first three covered.
Treat
Between cleansing and protecting comes a treatment step. this can be with a toner , essence , serum , exfoliation, and masks . All of the above if your skin can handle it. Layer them from lightest to thickest consistency and exfoliate after cleansing.
Masks, toners, essences, and serums are infused with nutrients, antioxidants, and vitamins chosen to treat specific skin concern . I have a section on ingredients to treat skin concerns at the end. When comparing products look at the similarities and differences between their ingredient lists. The order or products is usually from highest to lowest concentration.
Remember an ingredient or product that someone else swears by may not work well for your skin . this step requires trail and error, time and money . Consistent cleansing, moisturiser and sunscreen should fade most concerns so don’t fret over a treatment if you can’t afford to.
If any product you have doesn’t work for you , don’t waste the product and throw it away . You could give it to a friend with a similar skin concern to see if it works better for them .
Toner
Watery consistency , the lightweight helping it absorb into the skin quickly . Applied with cotton pad after double cleansing to hydrate and restore the PH of skin .
If the toner is exfoliating put a couple drops on a cotton pad, don’t drown it, and pass the pad once across your face.
If the toner is hydrating put a couple dots on your palm and gently pat the toner into your skin. If you need more than one layer feel free to repeat this process no more than 7 times
Essence
As hydrating and fast absorbing but thicker than toners. However they're less concentrated than serums.
Application is the same as a hydrating toner but 7 layers would be excessive, 2 to 3 should be enough.
Serum
Usually comes in a dropper . Even if you’ve double cleansed it’s imperative that the dropper doesn’t touch your face to ensure bacteria won’t contaminate the dropper and by extension the serum . Once you’ve applied the serum gently massage the liquid into your skin .
Masks
Types of masks
Using a mask once or twice a week is beneficial but remember it’s not necessary . As long as you cleanse and protect you'll be fine
sheet
Works for all skin types . There are two variations of sheet masks . The first type is a cotton mask drenched in serum or essence . The second is a jelly-like sheet infused with ingredients . Sheet masks are extremely hydrating but the ingredients infused will determine the benefits .
Clay
If you have oily skin this one is for you . It’s a combination of water , clay , and minerals that determine the properties and absorb all excess oils from your skin . For this reason it’s best to stay away from this mask if your skin is already dry .
Charcoal
These masks are best used as spot treatments for breakouts as they help soothe inflammation . Charcoal helps remove excess oils as well .
Cream
This category is for wash off masks that don’t fit into the above categories . As previously stated the ingredients determine the benefits of a mask .
Overnight
As the name suggests you put it on before bed and it works while you’re asleep . What makes an overnight mask different from a night cream are the active ingredients .
Peel off
People with sensitive skin proceed with caution . This mask will literally peel the dead skin from your face . So sensitive skin types be careful . These have no active ingredients because they’re used for exfoliating than treating .
Exfoliate
This is when you remove dead skin cells. However it is not recommended if you have any kind of skin condition like acne, eczema, etc . The most important thing is that you cleanse and protect but exfoliation can remove dry dull skin and improve circulation
Types of exfoliation
Physical : sugar scrubs , clay masks , gommage peeling , dry brushing , sponges , and cloths rubbed onto the skin in circular motions
Chemicals: like AHAs ( alpha hydroxy acids ) that’ll break the bonds holding the dead skin onto your face or BHAs ( beta hydroxy acids ) . PHAs have larger particles and work best on thinner skin. LHA is a milder BHA perfect for acne prone skin .
Oily and dry skin types would benefit from physical exfoliation but if your skin is sensitive avoid rubbing into it harshly . To avoid irritation stick to a mild chemical exfoliant . AHAs followed by cleanser and moisturiser would be perfect for dry skin . if your skin is normal or combination you'll have to experiment with both chemical and physical exfoliants. A general rule is that chemical exfoliation is gentler and therefore better . You should never be too rough with your skin .
Common skin concerns and ingredients
acne
Benzoyl peroxide, 5% for face and 10% for body
Salicylic acid
Clindamycin (with BP)

Retinol/retinoids

ideal skincare routine at based on age
- 15
mild cleanser
spf50 sunscreen
Moisturiser
15 - 18
At this stage there’s no need to worry about premature ageing
but you might consider incorporating an acne treatment
Or a hydrating sheet mask twice a week
19 - 24
You may notice dark circles or eye bags that require an eye cream
And consider an exfoliant or vitamin c to brighten dull skin or prevent fine lines
25 - 30
You want to focus on hydrating your skin to keep it soft and supple
And incorporating anti aging into your skincare through antioxidants and damage preventing treatments
31 +
You may notice your skin begin to notice sagging, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation
Thus choose lifting and firming products, anti wrinkle treatments, and ingredients that fade dark spots
Sun protection and hydration are absolutely crucial at this stage
lifestyle habits to incorporate
Correct any vitamin deficiencies and hormonal imbalances
Make sure you do not overeat especially on processed carbs and sugars or under eat to the point of lacking essential nutrients
Be sure to drink enough water throughout the day, the golden rule is 8 glasses a day
You may need to adjust your skincare routine depending on the season eg. Cold dry winter air may leave your skin needing more hydrating products while sweating more in the summer may lead to acne
Keep a regular sleep schedule of 7-9 hours a night on a silk pillowcase as the reduced friction can help prevent fine lines and change your pillowcases once a week to prevent bacteria build up

Aaah I didn't know other anons were paying attention to my embarrassing requests for scrubbies😳😭 Now I need to step up my game and think of more creative requests...
But also yes I agree 5 star yelp review for the tickle cleaning machine!!! Only drawback is a machine can't tickle talk me..... OR CAN IT??? (this is a challenge!)
from cleaning anon🧼🛁
Ooooh my yessss I have like a whole little troupe of cleaning anons nowww ~ I daresay my business will be booming when I have you all lined up on the conveyer to go in like a waterpark ride, once the strip-bot is done having her way with you of course, pulling away your clothes and tossing them into the bins while my techs start slapping rubber cuffs on your wrists before chasing you into the flume with their tickle sticks.
With a hummmmm the magnets in your cuffs are drawn up to keep your arms secure over your head so that the smirking operator can pull the crank and send you downnn the water chute, passing through gate after gate of ticklyyyy spraying jets for your presoak. As the ride slows you are treated to two previews. The desperate whimpering giggly gasps of the person ahead of you, just around the corner ~ and from a viewing window you can see the cleaning anon who completed their treatment, trembling and blushyyy pink as they're brought out for inspection to a crowd of techs with fluffy plumes.
Ahh but you're getting distracted and didn't even see the scan bots appear. All those red lights gliding up and down your body, making it tingle and wiggle. Probing brushies slide out to test your skin for imperfections. Klaxons wail every time they find a spot. The brush in your navel sets one off. The brushes going between your toes go off endlessly. A brush in each armpit goes off. Your back, your shoulders, even your tush are marked. The body map behind them, the cleansing plan, grows more complex by the second as it continuously updates.
Reaching an unheard of threshold, you aren't going around the curve to join those giggles, the floor instead opens and you are deposited for deep cleaning. The table below instantly reacts to the weight of your body and snatches your wrists and ankles with thick straps. With a buzzing sound the spherical denizen of this cleansing chamber floats into view.
"Convening cleaning intervening~!" The machine chirps in rhyme, rumbling as it produces a spider-like array of scrubbing brushes, spinning buffers, and gloved hands working in rubbing pairs to suds themselves up. Your squirms and struggles go entirely unnoticed as the hands begin rubbing your sides and legs and feet so the brushes can move in and begin their teasing cleansing, spinning and swirling about to buff all your sensitive skin.
"Overweening queening leaning~!" The machine taunts as you protest, the buffers moving up to tease at your neck and under your arms. The hands massage and work the tingly cleansing bubbles into your skin, thumbs rubbing at your hips and inner thighs, coming back around after the brushes with a slickening solution to give your skin a nice pink sheen.
"Careening well-meaning spring cleaning~!" With a chime new cleansers enter the sudsy fray, twirling fluffy puffs glistening with their oil and approaching your navel, your royal chest buttons and even your lower royal button. The machine dings happily as it begins working your most regal areas to a perfect cleansed shine, the puffs whirling and grazing along your buttons with the utmost care while the hands tease and taunt tracing your pinkened softened areas ~ along your sides and ribs and underarms, down your legs to each toe. All those loving strokes inspecting and verifying while the puffies dip in and out under the watchful teasing eye of the machine~
Which continues until a horn honks loudly indicating a flip. With a spin the table inverts and you find yourself strapped similarly with your tush presented for all those tools. And the process begins again, the machine chiming and beeping while the hands and brushes move about to suds and clean and buff your booty, your thigh-backs, behind your knees, over your back with special attention to the small, and another coating for your armpits from behind.
"Survening silk-screening dry-cleaning!" Plucked up from the table, you find yourself on a clothesline like frame, hanging by your magnetic cuffs as the machine retracts and presents two long silken sheets. Your wiggling trembling cleansed form is pressed between them, the soft material wicking away the remaining solutions while stimulating your skin. Every struggle and wiggle you make only furthers the sensation as the silks are held close to your helpless body. And of course, the hands can't help but taunt and bully with poking strokes through the sheets on your worst spots, just daring you to get all worked up as they caress around your thighs and royal buttons~
"Reconvening supervening screening~!" The machine announces as it retracts and floats high into the ceiling. As you watch it depart with a gloved hand waving, you look back down and are face to face with the smirking face of the quirky inspector.
"Hiii~!!" The boisterous energy is matched by an expression of loving contempt for her product. Snapping on a glove and inspecting your hanging body, she muses about "Hmmm. Mmmhmm. Uhhh-huhhh". With a pause, she pulls out a notepad, scratches something into it and has both the pad and pen drop carelessly as she reaches into her lab coat and produces a wireless magic wand. With a growing sadistic grin she activates the scanners and starts buzzing your most royal button. "Dirty little thing. Go on. Be naughty. Be nasty." She taunts, a thumb rubbing your side earnestly while the wand chases your button with buzzing tickly vibrations.
And as your giggling moans start to escape your resistant lips, you realize you'll be seeing that machine again very soon~

Being that I am a redhead and I have super sensitive skin that is irritated and breaks out of dries out or just generally gets pissed off by just about everything, it's been a journey of several YEARS to find skin care products that help more than they hurt my skin.... And about a year ago I found a face wash that is perfect for me. Feels great, makes my skin look great, no irritation or dryness at ALL, lightly exfoliating, does not make my skin break out or itch, easily available in several stores in my area. And maybe I'm imagining it, but the skin on my face and neck actually feels less sensitive and itchy and eczema prone since I've been using this cleanser, which is crazy to me. And today I went to buy my beloved cleanser at the usual store I buy it from and it was out of stock. So i tried another store that I know carries that product line..... out of stock. I stood in the aisle of the second store and checked the company's website, and it's out of stock there too. Which tells me it's probably getting discontinued and I am SO pissed about it if that's the case. Of fucking course my miracle product that took years of searching to find is just going to no longer exist. Of fucking course!!!!

Would actually really love to see your list of skincare product recommendations lol
ok hopefully no one judges me for all this but i do have a skincare ritual every morning and night, i don’t wear makeup and don’t leave the house so that’s my cope for spending money on skincare😭 so here’s the routine ive been doing for the past few years, what each step does, and the products im using today (this changes depending on my mood and how much im willing to spend lol) and obvs do research before putting anything on your face
morning
1) gentle cleanser to wash off the shit from the routine last night (im using glow recipe’s blueberry cleanser)
2) vitamin c serum to help fight sun damage and keep skin tone even (im using beauty of joseon’s serum)
3) moisturizer (im using glow recipe’s watermelon juice)
4) sunscreen if going outside to prevent sun damage this is critical lol (im using beauty of joseon’s sun relief)
evening
1) stronger cleanser, be careful if you have sensitive skin (im using glossier cleanser concentrate)
2) eye serum to lube up the area and keep away wrinkles, this step might be unnecessary but i got a cool serum for christmas that im still using (im using beauty of joseon’s retinal serum)
3) more anti wrinkle serum but for the rest of the face, im kinda weird about preventative treatments, do research before using retinol products (im using glossier pro retinol)
4) sleeping mask for extra moisture because my skin is dry asf (im using glow recipe’s watermelon mask)
5) face oil for extra lube and moisture lol, i basically lube the fuck out of my entire face at night because it keeps wrinkles away essentially lmao (im using herbivore’s orchid oil)
6) lip mask because my lips are always dry asf (im using laneige’s berry mask)
also forgot to say that anything you put on your face should be dragged down to your neck or else you’ll look weird with perfect skin and a neglected neck lol sorry i am so insane i need to be put away for good
#im kinda scared sharing this lol maybe there is some evidence of ocd here#or at least an unhealthy fixation with aging#i have always had a strange relationship with my skin#I don’t wear makeup at all and besides some hereditary dark circles my skin is perfect#so im kind of crazy about maintaining it#anyways#about me

From My Headphones: Mountains
AN: Hello my loves! I really just wanted to write something today so we went back to old faithful and pulled something from my song inspo playlist. This thing really is like a quick writing palate cleanser for me in full honesty, hence why it’s so short lol. I really didn’t even wanna put a tag list on this one cause it was so short lmfao.
Summary: Who else would Shuri turn to in her time of need?
Pairing: Shuri x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Cussing, mentions of injury that’s it I think.
Word count: 1,068
Part 1. Masterlist. Taglist.
Suggested listening: Mountains - Charlotte Day Wilson
“Up on the mountain (up on the mountain) Searched through the valley (searched through the valley) You hear me calling (you you hear me calling) Won't you come find me? (Won't you come and find me?) Please don't forsake me (please don't forsake me)”
It had to be easily two or three AM when the familiar sound of a certain someone knocking at your door came. Groggily throwing a large fur over your shoulder and slipping your feet into your slippers you opened the door, greeted by an injured Shuri. She stood sheepishly there, staring down at your feet waiting for you to say something.
“This is the third time this month Shuri.”
“Does that mean you’re going to leave me out here? I mean, I trekked all the way up here in the snow.” The young Queen rocked on the balls of her feet, pulling her bottom lip into her teeth.
You stared at her for a moment, contemplating if denying her to teach her a lesson would be best in this case. But as much as you wanted to, your heart said no. Here Shuri was, feeling comfortable enough with you to come to seek your aid when she was at her most vulnerable.
No, you could never turn her away when she was like this.
Stepping aside to let the poor girl in, Shuri breathed out a thank you. Appreciative that your thin patience hadn’t run out just yet.
At this point you two had turned this whole ordeal into a dance, knowing the ins and outs and working with each other to make sure you had all the materials you needed. While you pick out an incense stick to set the room, Shuri grabs the matches from the cabinet above you. Making sure to breathe ever so slightly down your neck when she, leaving goosebumps in her path.
As you clear your small kitchen table of its wood decorations, Shuri strips out of the thick over-layers that she wore on the climb up here. Leaving her just in her sports bra and leggings. You try not to oggle at the sight, this was about healing Shuri, not praising the God’s for giving her a perfect body. Shuri however was amused at the way you pulled your eyes from her quickly as if you’d seen something you weren't allowed to.
This dance you two did ended with Shuri laying on her back on the table and you standing over her, a bowl filled with various herbs in your hand. There was only one injury Shuri came to you for, the one thing she didn’t trust anyone to try and heal; her injury from the fight with Namor.
Looking down over her as you gathered some of the mixture in your hand you analyzed the wound. Clearly, she’d reopened it doing God’s know-what and tried to get it to reseal by itself with no success. “What did you do to it this time?” You distracted her with a question as you applied the first layer.
She groaned slightly when your fingers made contact with her skin. No matter how gentle you seemed to be, that area was always extra sensitive. “I was helping with the rebuilding efforts in the River Tribe, moving things, stuff like that.”
“Mhm,” You encouraged her to continue on as you applied the second layer thicker this time.
Shuri’s eyes studied all of your movements. How focused you were on the task at hand, how every movement seemed filled with intention and you allowed not even a drop to go to waste. “I was playing with some of the children, showing off my strength.”
This pulled your eyes away from her stomach and up to her own. Giving her a look that let her know you were not pleased.
“What!” She cried out in mock defense. “They’re small children, what was I supposed to do? Not pick them up?”
You rolled your eyes. “Uh huh yeah whatever. So you pick them up and then what?”
Shuri lets out a sigh, moving her hands from her side to rest interlaced behind her head. This put her toned upper body right in your face and it took everything in you not to feast on what she was so clearly dangling in front of you. “Well of course when I feel my stitches rip, I can take a good guess that picking up all twenty of them was not the best idea. So when I got back to my lab, I whipped something up quickly to deal with it and went about my day.”
You shook your head as you wiped the last bits of the mixture onto her skin, encasing the previous two layers with this one. “That’s your problem.” You declared as you cleaned up your workspace, Shuri sitting up from the table and looking down at your work.
“What’s my problem?” She asked as she hopped off the table and followed you around the kitchen. Not giving you a lick of space to yourself. This was on purpose and you knew it, Shuri didn’t get a lot of time to spend with you. With your house being situated deep enough into the Jabari Land mountains your own brother M’baku had famously declared he would never make the trip. And Shuri’s newfound responsibilities being Queen and Black Panther, time just wasn’t on you two’s side.
But that didn’t stop Shuri from coming to you anytime she was injured, using it as an excuse to turn up at your doorstep at odd hours without invitation. Knowing you’d never turn her away.
“Your problem,” You turned around to answer Shuri but found that she was right behind you. “Is that you keep expecting a machine to heal something that only you can.”
Shuri sighed at your words having heard a variation of this speech before a million times. “I’m serious ihunanya (love).” You reached out and ghosted your fingers over where the paste had now completely dried to her skin. “You can’t use technology to heal this, nor can you expect me to with my herbs. Your body will heal once your mind has.”
You looked up at her hoping that maybe this time your message had gotten through to her, but you couldn’t tell.
“Can I stay here tonight?” Shuri’s request came quiet, it wasn’t unusual, but it did come as a shock to you that she asked. Typically you would just go to bed normally and she would join you, no questions asked just a mutual understanding. But tonight you had a feeling this was about more than just sleep, Shuri was searching for connection.
“Of course.”

Can you make a how to live like song jia for a day ?
How to live like song jia ౨ৎ ⋆。˚ the perfect routine to boost your self-esteem
This is a guide on daily routines inspired by Song Jia! These routines are perfect for people who want to slowly build unbreakable confidence, like freezia!
content list (routines):
morning
study
workout
shower + self care
night
(_ _ ) . . z Z⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚୨ :★: ୧ ∗ ˖࣪ ໒꒱ ˚₊·
✸ ꒰ morning routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🤍 Jia starts her mornings drinking a cup of water or coffee on an empty stomach, this can help to boost your metabolism and detox your body. I would recommend to drink water rather than coffee, since this could have some negative side effects.
Next step is to say some affirmations in front of the mirror, saying affirmations like 'I look so pretty today' or 'my skin looks so healthy' or simply being kinder to ourselves can ease stress, allow us to face difficulty more courageously, and feel more content and confident!
Now it's time for skincare, Jia emphasizes on having a healthy skincare, for this you will need to create a routine based on your skin type (dry, oily, combination, sensitive, normal or acne prone) and your skin concerns (black heads, bumps, irritation, scars, etc.), please make sure to consult a professional before using anything on your face! Now Jia usually cleanses her face with a foam cleanser and then use toner, a moisturizing ampule, moisturizer and sunscreen! She makes sure to apply the products on her neck too.
After skincare it's time to get dressed, while we wait for the products to absorb! Jia is a really fashionable girl, make sure to have fun with the textures, shapes and color combinations to make the best outfit and boost it using accessories like hats or sunglasses, don't forget to get a matching bag and shoes too!
Time for makeup! Jia's daily makeup consist of BB cream, mascara, eyebrow pencil and lipstick, but if she's shooting something she will add contour, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner and highlighter to the routine!
✸ ꒰ study routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🎀 When Jia goes to her Chinese classes she pays attention and does activities in her book, she also practices writing random things like her name! She memorizes vocabulary and practice a little with her friends in the same class.
✸ ꒰ workout routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🦢 Jia recommends to work out at least for 20 minutes per day! She usually does simple waist or legs exercises while standing up looking at her phone or watching TV.
Also she goes to Pilates classes so you can try to do a 20 minute Pilates workout video like this one.
✸ ꒰ shower and self care routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🩰 To boost your self-esteem Jia says that we have to at least take 2 days of the week (Saturday and Sunday) on really taking care and spend time with ourselves.
First detangle your hair using a hairbrush, then hop on the shower and use shampoo, conditioner and a hair mask to treat your hair. Then wash your body using a shower gel and a body scrub. Jia uses a soothing gel, thermal water and a body lotion to moisturize her body after shower, she massages the products on her skin to relax her muscles. After 30 minutes, she dries her hair with cold air. After, you can trim your split ends or take care of your nails if necessary.
As a part of self-care, do chores like doing laundry or washing the dishes so you can start relaxing on a tidy place (you can also light an scented candle). Also, Jia takes her vitamins for her hair and overall health.
Now it's time to enjoy our hobbies! Having hobbies help us with both our physical and mental health, plus having our alone time makes us more comfortable with ourselves and help with self -discovery, Jia haves a good set of hobbies that she spends most of her time doing like oil painting, doing DIYs, watching dramas like insider, taking care of her dogs, cooking and baking, playing video games and golf!
✸ ꒰ night routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🌷 Finally, Jia spends her night taking care of her skin! First she washes her hands, the uses a cleansing oil or milk, then she uses makeup remover on her eyes if the cleanser didn't take off her eyeliner for example, then she uses a foam cleanser and toner to finish cleanse her skin. After she uses a hydrating mist and ampule, a dermatologic treatment, sheet mask, lip balm and moisturizer (remember to apply it on the neck too!) after she uses a gua sha to massage her face.
as a part of skincare, make sure to sleep at least 8 hours everyday and drink enough water to wake up with perfect skin!

Random, but if you feel comfortable could you share your skincare and haircare routine?💗 ps, what’s your favorite candle scent?
you’re so cute, this is such a cute question 🥹 I don’t have one set candle scent I love, but I am a big fan of calming smells like lavendar, pear, vanilla, apple & cinnamon. I love any candles by north muse or honeymoon apothecary I truly have never had them go wrong with a candle smell.
for my skin care, I tend to get dry skin, so in the morning I just wash my face once with a moisturising cleanser. I use a caffeinated eye cream but truly I have no set one, I’ve never found any one better than the other so it’s whatever I can get my hands on when I need more. I then use balance me radiance facial oil, just a couple of drops patted into my skin. and a dash of niacinamide. I give it a minute or two for those to soak in, making my bed and doing a lip scrub or something while I wait, then I moisturise and lastly suncream. I use a little bit of scented body butter on my neck, and everyone always tells me I smell so good.
at night, I use a cream cleanser if I’ve worn makeup that day, then I double cleanse. sometimes I just use the same as my morning cleanser twice, sometimes I use it once, then inkey list salicylic acid cleanser. I use my eye cream again, then if I’ve used the salicylic cleanser, I also use some salicylic drops patted into the skin. I’ve also started using a retinoid twice a week recently! I do tuesday and saturday nights. then I moisturise to finish off. I also put body butter on my neck and chest again.
every sunday before/after my shower, I do a facemask. it could be any of these:
pineapple enzyme mask
hemp mask
tumeric mask
as for hair care, pretty simple! I pretty much just use any nourishing hair masks I’ve got in at the time, as long as it’s good and slicked up. I usually plait my hair once it’s all in and then leave it for a few hours, while I do a workout or make dinner or something. I use leave-in conditioner, heat-protect spray and I use a knock-off wella bond repair oil on my hair after I dry it.
ps: I like to do my night skincare before I dry my hair, then do a nice sheet mask to lock moisture back in after my face has gotten blasted with all the hot air from drying. I find it’s really nice.
other products I also love:
laneige lip mask — I swear this is so nourishing.
glossier hot cocoa lip balm — I bought this because I saw it trending and I literally wore it every day in winter I can’t wait to buy the 'strawberry' one they just released for summer.
palmer's cocoa butter — I use this stuff on any dry/sensitive skin. you can literally put it on your feet, elbows, scabs, flaky skin?? I even put it under my nose when I get a cold so my nose doesn’t get sore from blowing it so much 🤧
'sweet tooth' perfume — I am a sabrina carpenter girly through n' through.
nyx lip oils — they're perfect. no more needs to be said.

Step-by-Step Guide to a Complete Daily Skincare Routine for Glowing Skin
Achieving glowing, radiant skin is not just about using the right products but also about following a consistent daily skincare routine. Whether you’re new to skincare or looking to refine your routine, this guide will help you establish the perfect steps to get that luminous, healthy-looking skin you’ve always wanted.
Step 1: Cleanse Your Face (Morning and Night)
Cleansing is the foundation of any skincare routine. It removes dirt, excess oil, makeup, and impurities that accumulate on your skin throughout the day.
Morning: Use a gentle cleanser suited to your skin type. If you have oily skin, opt for a foaming or gel cleanser. Dry skin types may benefit from a hydrating cream cleanser.
Night: Double cleansing is recommended in the evening. Start with an oil-based cleanser to dissolve makeup and sunscreen, then follow up with your regular cleanser to ensure your skin is thoroughly clean.
Pro tip: Use lukewarm water to wash your face, as hot water can strip your skin of its natural oils, causing dryness and irritation.
Step 2: Apply a Toner
Toners help balance the skin’s pH level and remove any remaining traces of dirt or makeup. They also prep the skin for the next steps of your routine.
Choose the right toner: If you have oily or acne-prone skin, look for toners with salicylic acid or witch hazel. For dry or sensitive skin, opt for a hydrating toner with ingredients like rose water or glycerin.
How to apply: Use a cotton pad or your hands to gently pat the toner onto your skin.
Pro tip: Avoid toners with alcohol, as they can dry out your skin and cause irritation.
Step 3: Use a Serum
Serums are packed with active ingredients designed to target specific skin concerns. This is where you can tailor your skincare routine based on what your skin needs.
For glowing skin: Vitamin C serums are excellent for brightening and evening out skin tone. It’s also a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from environmental damage.
For hydration: If your skin feels dry or dull, a serum with hyaluronic acid can deeply hydrate and plump your skin.
Pro tip: Apply your serum while your skin is still slightly damp from toner to help lock in hydration.
Step 4: Apply Eye Cream
The skin around the eyes is delicate and prone to dryness, fine lines, and puffiness. Incorporating an eye cream into your routine helps to address these issues.
For dark circles and puffiness: Look for eye creams with caffeine or peptides.
For fine lines and hydration: Hyaluronic acid or retinol-based eye creams are great for minimizing fine lines and keeping the under-eye area hydrated.
Pro tip: Use your ring finger to gently pat the eye cream around your eyes, as it exerts the least pressure.
Step 5: Moisturize
Moisturizing is crucial for keeping your skin hydrated and creating a protective barrier. A good moisturizer will seal in all the products you’ve applied in the previous steps.
For oily skin: Choose a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer, such as a gel or water-based product.
For dry skin: A richer, cream-based moisturizer will provide the necessary hydration.
Pro tip: Don’t skip moisturizing, even if you have oily skin. Proper hydration helps to regulate your skin’s oil production and prevent breakouts.
Step 6: Sunscreen (Morning Only)
Sunscreen is the most important step in your morning routine. Daily sun protection prevents premature aging, hyperpigmentation, and skin cancer.
Broad-spectrum SPF: Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to protect against both UVA and UVB rays.
How to apply: Use about a nickel-sized amount and apply it evenly across your face and neck. Reapply every two hours if you’re outdoors.
Pro tip: If you’re using makeup, look for a moisturizer or foundation with built-in SPF for added protection.
Step 7: Exfoliate (1-2 Times a Week)
Exfoliation is essential for removing dead skin cells that can make your skin look dull and clog your pores. However, over-exfoliating can irritate your skin, so limit this step to once or twice a week.
For physical exfoliation: Use a gentle scrub with fine particles to buff away dead skin cells.
For chemical exfoliation: A chemical exfoliant containing AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) or BHA (beta hydroxy acid) can effectively slough off dead skin without being abrasive.
Pro tip: Always follow exfoliation with a good moisturizer, as exfoliation can leave your skin feeling dry or tight.
Step 8: Face Mask (1-2 Times a Week)
A face mask is a great addition to your skincare routine, especially when your skin needs an extra boost. Face masks can target various skin concerns, from hydration to deep cleansing.
For glowing skin: Look for masks with ingredients like Vitamin C, turmeric, or honey that brighten the complexion.
For hydration: A mask with hyaluronic acid or aloe vera can soothe and replenish dry skin.
Pro tip: Apply your face mask after cleansing and before moisturizing to get the most benefit from the ingredients.
Additional Tips for Glowing Skin:
Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water is key to keeping your skin hydrated from the inside out. Aim for at least 8 glasses of water a day.
Eat a balanced diet: Incorporating foods rich in antioxidants, such as berries, leafy greens, and nuts, can help promote healthy, glowing skin.
Get enough sleep: Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night to allow your skin to repair and rejuvenate. Lack of sleep can lead to dull, tired-looking skin.
Don’t skip SPF: Sun damage is one of the leading causes of premature aging. Wearing sunscreen daily is crucial for maintaining youthful, glowing skin.
Consistency is key: Stick to your skincare routine every day, and be patient. It can take a few weeks to see noticeable improvements, but consistency will pay off.
Conclusion
A daily skincare routine doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective. By following these simple steps—cleanse, tone, treat, moisturize, and protect—you can achieve glowing, radiant skin that looks and feels healthy. Tailor your routine to your skin’s specific needs, and remember to be consistent for long-lasting results.

As someone with sensitive and dry skin, this summer is only getting hotter and as someone who lives in a hot and humid country, I took my skin care to a new level for it to adapt to this environment! .ೃ࿐ Skin Type: Sensitive Skin (face) Dry and Sensitive Skin (body) LONG READ AHEAD! 🍯🩰🧸🪡
୨⎯ MORNING ROUTINE ⎯୧(DURING BATH) 🛁🫧🌅 -Before anything else, I cleanse my skin with an anti bacterial soap. ↳Product that I used is a local antibacterial soap (Safe guard). You can use anything as long as it gets rid of the build up first.
-I use a body scrub only twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday) to get ride of the clogged dirt in my pores and remove the dead skin cells and product build up and overall just leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean and improve my skin texture. ↳Product that I used is Dr. Teal's Epsom Salt and Body Scrub/ Human Nature Volcanic Cooling Body Scrub
-I never forget my shower gel and I always love how affordable and gourmand this smell is! ↳Product that I used is Bath and Body Works Strawberry Pound Cake Moisturizing Body Wash
-Next up is lotion. As someone who has scars on my legs growing up from bites and battle scars (me tripping and falling and scarring my legs) it has hindered me. Hydration and proper knowledge with ingredients that can help scars fade is a must. I believe Niacinamide and Vit. C has great contribution with lightening those scars.↳Product that I used is Avon's Green Papaya and Calamansi Lotion/ Vaseline UV Extra Brightening Nourishing Niacinamide Lotion
-Can't forget about my fragrance. I alternate gourmand and flowery and powdery scents. I mostly use fragrance mists! ↳Product that I used is Fairytale by BnBW, JOY by BnBW, Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte by BnBW. I use a oil-based perfume its Cassiopeia and I love it so much! ୨⎯ MORNING ROUTINE ⎯୧(FACE SKIN CARE ROUTINE) -I usually do not wash my face with cleanser but I only wash it with water. (Ik this is controversial but this has been my routine since I was still a teenager.)
-I use an ice cube that I froze over night to depuff my eyes (eyes only!)
-I apply my moisturizer. This moisturizer really hydrated my skin especially this summer. It has a lot ingredients that can help you with hydration and at the same time making your skin youthful and glowing! It is lightweight and just perfect for this summer!↳Product that I used is Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream -I apply my sunscreen. Genuinely love this sunscreen, the only sunscreen that didn't make me breakout! Never ever forget sunscreen! ↳Product that I used is Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+ PA++++
-Next is my face mist/facial spray. Gotta keep the skin hydrated and fresh! ↳Product that I used is Evian Brumisateur Natural Mineral Water Facial Spray.
I always keep my morning routine simple since it's hot and humid here. I also bring with me a bottle of water and keep aware of what I eat and avoid eating foods that are oily and cause allergic reactions to my skin. ༉‧₊˚.
୨⎯ EVENING ROUTINE ⎯୧ (DURING BATH) 🛁🫧🌆 -Still the same from above! I just do not overdo my scrubbing part and keep my skin hydrated! -୨⎯ EVENING ROUTINE ⎯୧(AFTER BATH/SKIN CARE FOR FACE) -Double cleansing your skin is that it removes the make up/sunscreen as well as remove those dirt that has built up through out the day. It also helps with absorption of your serums and other moisturizing products.↳Product that I used is Banila Clean it Zero cleansing Balm and Senka Perfect whip for cleansing foam
-I cannot forget my serum! Gotta love how lightweight this is and how it brightened up my dark spots! It has 5% niacinamide and love how this niacinamide worked and saved my skin.↳Product that I used is Axis Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum
-Another serum that I cannot gate keep is this local brand/product in my country! It's Cica Skin Repair Serum Soothing Gel from Ever Organics. You can find any alternative skin care serums/gels that has cica as I swear that this ingredient has helped me with my reddish spots and helped me stop my break out! I genuinely love love this product.
-For spot treatment, I use this only when I have breakouts (I rarely have breakouts nowadays, probably during period days only!) ↳Product that I used Face Republic Calming Spot Oint Gel (I only bought the sachet one)
I think it's essential for us to take care of our body, not just our skin. Our body is our temple and we must good care of it. It's never too late to start and take care of your body. Take care of yourself not to impress others but as a form of self love. I think we should remember and remind ourselves to love and appreciate ourselves. ₍ ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ₎˚୨୧
I hope this post has reached all of you needing inspos or don't know where to begin. I'm still a growing account after all! But I'd like to share with you all what has helped me. Can't wait to have moots too! 🎀🩰🪡
