Alright, so while the DogDay poll is going on, I'm going to be making some quick reference sheets for the CatNap plushes I've made so far.

I'm starting with the critters that already have names, which means that if you have name ideas or suggestions for the others, now would be the time to let me know!

Yeah, yeah, Writeblr is a community and all that. But I get it.

Some of us have anxiety disorders. Some of us are (or were once) minors on the internet who had it drilled into us to never make our presence known in online spaces lest we get stalked or groomed.

It's okay if interacting is outside of your comfort zone.

Some of us aren't actually on tumblr enough to make making a Writeblr intro worth it.

Some of us prefer to take a few months, maybe years, observing the community to learn the rules. And let's face it, there is a huge learning curve to Tumblr culture. I came here from Pinterest in like 2018 and hooo boy was it intimidating!

Like, I was that 17 year old pinterest lurker with an anxiety disorder who was taught that internet safety meant "never comment on anything" who took a few years before I felt comfortable enough with tumblr culture to reblog things with tags, let alone make public posts.

So I guess what I am saying is, I can't judge. Because I've been there.

Writeblr is a community. And the community (for me) is the best part. And remember that if you don't contribute to the community you don't get to complain about it either. But this is also a public space. Silent observers are to be expected. And on my blog you are welcome.

Jed and Oct need a bigger tank- who put them in such a small tank???

I like to think Larry was like "I'll go buy a big tank tomorrow for you to stay until we figure out how to turn you back" (because the shops wouldn't be open at night) and then he put them in two glasses of water. Jed had a panic attack (almost dying in a hourglass will leave some trauma behind) so Larry just went to his house, found an old fishbowl he had (for decorative reasons, filled with little rocks etc) and brought that back to the museum.

Something i find interesting abt sydcarmy is everybody's spontaneous investment in platonic dynamics and making sydcarm its posterchild as if its not completely reasonable that ppl ship two characters with chemistry, narrative and parallels. And doubly, the sudden affinity for a "softer" pairing that very coincidentally relegates syd with a side character and away from the conventional main lead™.

oh my god i thought the update posts would slow down. but ivory keeps making stuff.

sooooo there was some intense character overload in the newest post when you turn up the brightness. there was a dash that we don't need since that's a part of the youtube link we already bruteforced, but the rest of the characters were very confusing...

eventually, we figured out that it's supposed to be this:

a link to a map on planet minecraft titled "0" with an image of a spruce tree as the thumbnail (and a skin that looks like ebony's...). there's a mediafire link, but there's nothing in it at the moment.

so how did we get from that gibberish to a planet minecraft link? well...

a kauran is a large farm animal, like a big lobster-ish hog

all farmed animals in Elleiz can regrow limbs, so the leg is not a noble cut. but it is tasty nonetheless

the "bell" from bell salad is a tuber-like vegetable, kinda like a sweet potato

Elleiz natives are predominantly carnivorous due to how hard it can be to farm plants in ice planets. the main vegetables they consume are energy-rich stuff like tubers, which is why they find leafy vegetables so unsatisfying

(they do consume leafy vegetables, but those are usually considered decorative ingredients, not main ingredients one could potentially live off of)

I was going to wait and do a full character page but after spending an hour coloring and designing the logo, I decided I couldn’t wait. Still nervous to post this but, what can you do, right?

I really liked it and I’m more than a little attached to Lou and looking forward to all the drama she’s gonna be involved in. They're crushing on their band manager, have a long time crush on G, and are nowhere near being over Seven. So yeah.. drama incoming lol
