He cares about Syd the most. He built the Bear for her, he wants a star for her, and at this point he cooks for her.

He can’t see his life without her as “he makes him better”.

He can’t apologize for Claire because he doesn’t love her and also he doesn’t fucking want to. Carmy will apologize when he wants to, and he wanted to with Syd.

I just got reblogged by someone that stated that the reason that Carmy can apologize to Syd but not Claire is because “is easier to apologize to someone that you don’t care about”

I mean, there is people that hate Syd for not good reason, or just following missoginy and racism, but…

To say Carmy doesn’t care at all about Sydney…does this person think he also doesn’t really care about all the other people he apologizes? Marcus? Richie, Tina, his own sister? Just Syd I assume, the person that he said “I wound not do this without you”?

do we think that Syd at any point talked Carmy down from his insane behavior while in the walk-in? cause they were together after he got out. we know because she brought him coffee and they had the “don’t let it happen again” and “it’s never going to happen again” convo. so like at what point from him yelling “get Syd” and her telling him to call Richie, did they converse while he was in there … asking because i want the footage lol

Sydney is stronger than I am because if I went to my partner trying to have an adult conversation on maybe slowing down so we can work better with each other and his response was to act like a fucking 12 year old boy on a Fortnite server with no parental restrictions spitting shitty insults like “mAybE i’M jUsT BettEr tHan yOu”, I’d have to whack him upside the head.

I see this scene in a walk-in as a weird parallel to Carmy's adventure in Wonderwalk-in. It could be something meaningful that would impact the entire next season.

I hope they won't go with this off vibe. To me, it looked like a hint at future harassment — not just "sweetheart" from Richie or "yeah, I care about you so much but don't know how to show it and will be an asshole for a whole season" from Carmy, but something much worse.

I hope for Syd's sake, as she is brilliant and deserves a normal work environment, and to avoid lazy "soap opera" decisions.

I hope these hints are more like the Ted/Rebecca moments in Ted Lasso. A false trail.

I don't know about Adam.

I'm trying to keep a neutral opinion on him. Though I want to touch on the reactions his character has gotten after season 3.

I can understand the opinion that he doesn't plan, he's being pushy with Syd and him putting down Carmy is indicative that he's not a good person and/or it's a valid reason to at least be sceptical.

But when it comes the idea he has a thousand long resentment towards Carmy, intends to tear his empire down and kidnap Syd is where I'm like okay, that's kind of a stretch.

And don't get me wrong, I get it. Carmy is the main character, anything that's against him we as viewers are inclined to be against. Whether you ship Syd and Carmy, or not, it wouldn't matter if Adam was good, or even if he was similar to Carmy. The reaction would be more or less the same.

To end this, I don't think Adam has done anything that terrible and we don't really know him. He could very well turn out to be a villain, but that doesn't make Carmy a better option for Syd to choose. Carmy is the option we as the audience care about, but from season 1-3, Syd is worse off from knowing him, being at the bear or however you want to flip it.

I may add more to this later, but that's it on his character for now.
