Look I’m just saying that if Stephen strange had been Asian American it would have made the story so much better. Like instead of the tired and racist “white man goes to an Asian country, masters their magic system way faster than they did, and is some sort of super prodigy chosen one” nonsense, it could have been an Asian American and/or desi boy who had achieved the “American dream” and been super Americanized (prodigal son of immigrants becomes a doctors in America, struggles with balancing two cultures, the dreams of his parents to see him be successful in the new country, while also struggling with how that contrasts with trying to keep up with the culture and tradition of the homeland, which would then deepen and add to the agonizing cognitive dissonance Stephen felt in the original plot) rediscovering his heritage in tandem with the plot.

Also! You could still have salty!Wong except instead of the frankly justified annoyance at “this (white) upstart comes in and becomes the sorcerer supreme in a few months when I’ve been doing this for most of my life”, you could have the much funnier and objectively better and funnier “grumpy traditional Uncle is annoyed with this young Americanized Youth who is annoyingly good at shit” dynamic.

Anyway, besides not being racist (and the “white prodigy” trope IS racist), this would add so much depth and heart to the story without detracting from the original plot in any meaningful way.

Taking your toys for a walk outside, even in a backpack or pocket if you don't want to carry them openly

Making lists of the toys you have and where you got them etc

I really like the idea of the bat kids designating Dick and Jason's apartments as sibling gathering spots but for opposite reasons.

Sibling needs some comfort? Some eldest daughter advice? A shoulder to cry on or just a lil getaway spot from the chaos of Gotham? Dick's apartment is perfect.

But if a batkid wants to complain, maybe wants to talk shit about Bruce, or maybe even wants to discuss a lil felony in a judgement free zone? Jason's place it is.

And I like to imagine that while Dick readily keeps his doors open and reminds anyone that they can drop by anytime, it's the opposite for Jason.

Dude's got his place riddled with traps and locked up to the high heavens. He makes it obvious he doesn't want visitors, and vaguely insinuates that there are bombs rigged somewhere in his apartment so there's a always a 50/50 chance you might get blown up if he's feeling particularly bitchy one day.

But does that stop his siblings? Absolutely not. Unlike Dick (who assigns himself as the guiding older brother), Jason has been forcefully labelled as the older sibling you go to if you need to complain and stir up havoc. The hundreds of traps in his place mean nothing. And it's worse because Jason is never prepared for when someone drops in.

And yes, while most of the time, it ends up as wholesome sibling bonding, sometimes the other batkids just feel like inconveniencing Jason just whenever, because what are siblings for?

[Jason waking up and seeing all of his traps and security systems disarmed and very deliberately broken in a way where he'll have to replace all of them instead of being able to reactivate them]:

If at all Sevika has to die, the ONLY death I will accept is if she shields and gives her life for Jinx because she believes Jinx has what it takes to free Zaun from Piltover, like she once did for Silco. I want her death to be on HER terms, something she chose while protecting her king/queen. Like the true Right Hand of Zaun that she is. Of course, I would prefer no death at all but I'm not feeling good about Sevika's chances of surviving the whole season.

the dynamic of demigods thinking which other demigod is the most powerful is always amusing to me because. like, we know the big 3 kids are all the most powerful. That's just a fact of their universe. And then we know nearly every character views Percy as the strongest demigod, and most people are very rightfully intimidated by him.

and you look at the powers of the Big 3 kids and there's Percy, but then you realize Nico is just kind of objectively more powerful than him but simply chooses to hang out in Percy's shadow like he's Percy's scary dog privileges. Like, the two of them are pretty equally capable of causing multiple different apocalypses. Nico just also has like four different instakill powers and it's not like he doesn't use them. He very much uses them! Not infrequently, even! And they don't seem to take a significant amount of energy from him! And other demigods are pretty intimidated by both of them! But Nico makes a conscious point to keep his cards close to his chest and not let on exactly how dangerous and scary he can be if he wants to. People are already scared enough of him without knowing anything about him and he doesn't like that. Percy doesn't think about that nearly as much, and so usually just goes in guns blazing and that's part of why he's considered a wildcard. And then Nico himself puts Percy on a pedestal, so those who do know more about Nico's abilities then presume Nico knows something they don't about Percy that implies Percy is even stronger than him.

And even on a meta level Nico's narrative role requires him to be functionally more powerful than Percy, because he very often serves the purpose of getting Percy out of situations he can't handle on his own. That's just part of his function as a character! But also narratively he can't overshadow Percy so he just takes a backseat of his own accord and that's very amusing to me.

although I do think it would be VERY funny if he got a story card and the groovy was just "regular Silver except with one beautiful single crystal tear". this is actually a lot coming from him.
