My dear darling boy Mac has finally shown up in Love Syndrome III - only the translator (I'm not sure there even is a translator tbh) turned him into Max (and Nan into Nun and, let me tell you, this dude is the exact opposite of a nun) and that is unacceptable.

Look at him, he's so precious.

I mean, sure, he spent years stealing every single one of Itt's boyfriends/girlfriends, all because he's secretly in love with him and ?? ??? (I'm sure he had it all planned out)

But at least in the novel he never forces Itt. He's annoying and a brat, that's all. And for that Day has him kidnapped by Nan, and then the author's usual non-con/blackmail plot happens (and idk if it's because Mac is my fave but he definitely has it the worst out of all the characters in this universe imo).

All of this happens during book 3, around the time Day has his accident, so idk why they set the flashback 3 years earlier.

Do you mean to tell me that this poor boy has been with Nan for three whole years? And his parents either only noticed now or Meen's priorities are really really weird. And the preview for next week suggests that Mac doesn't even want to be with Nan (in the novel he eventually comes to love him, same as with Itt and Day).

I'm so stressed out. I shouldn't be surprised but somehow they made it worse.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

Bruce says that his "true self" is his disguise. But Dick doesn't believe him.

Bruce keeps saying how important it is to notice the little details. And Dick does. He notices how Bruce's shoulders relax when they make it home after patrol, the slight change in tone as he tells Dick to wash up and head to bed. He notices how Bruce rolls his eyes at his puns, with a slight smirk that he tries to hide. How he ruffles Dick's hair and calls him "chum". Whatever the hell that means.

Most damning of all, Dick knows how Bruce peaks in on him after he's done in the Batcave. It scared Dick at first, for this... stranger to watch him while he slept. But one night, Dick decided to stay up a bit longer to finish a chapter in his psychology textbook Bruce made him read. If he finished it tonight, then he would have the next day free from Bruce's homework.

He startled a bit when the door creaked open. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Bruce whispered. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Why?"

Bruce shrugged. "I just... saw the light on and wanted to make sure you're okay."

"I'm fine." Dick reassured.

"Okay. Not too much longer though." Bruce quietly shut the door behind him.

"Batman's the mask, huh?" Dick thought to himself, turning back to the last paragraph. "Yeah, right."
