Based of @sketcher20 idea!
Also just in case Mizri and Minthara are not sisters they just look kinda similar lol. They both grew up in Menzoberranzan though!
(Also don’t mind the shitty screenshot background i didn’t feel like drawing one lmao)

Shadowheart: Where’s Karlach?
Astarion: Don’t worry, I’ll find her.
Astarion, shouting: JAHEIRA SUCKS!
Karlach, distantly: Jaheira is the best person ever! Fuck you!
Astarion: Found her.

In Every Universe
Ya'll please be warned I cried while writing this! I was feeling some angst tonight!! #Angst #Death #Husband Gale #True Love #Good Ending
I promise. I'll find you in every universe, my love. It was a gloomy day in the city of Waterdeep. A storm had just passed after covering the city in inches of cold, wet rain. Soon people began to walk the streets again, exiting from their dry hiding spots. Gale watched the city come back to life with its everyday hustle and bustle from his balcony window. After Baldur's Gate was saved he returned to Waterdeep with his love to live out the rest of their lives together. The two spent every moment with each other, either locked in each other's arms or side by side in multiple new harrowing adventures. Now they both have lived to be almost 100 years old. Which truly is an extraordinary achievement given their perilous misadventures. Both their hair has turned snow white, and their bodies worn to the bone from continuous overuse. The years they spent together were priceless to the both of them. Gale wished he could still have many, many more. Gale's tired eyes examined the view as he felt the gentle sea air flow around him. Unkept were the letters not yet finished strewn around his work desk. Each addressed to their mutual friends and companions, now located all around different parts of Faerun. They all had the same synopsis but were written differently to address each one for a more personalized touch. "It is with great sorrow I am writing to inform you our beloved Tav has passed."
Tumblr media
Tav was dying. Not dying from anything a cleric could cure or a God or Goddess would care to help with. She was dying from natural old age. Gale started to notice little things with his beloved as they grew old. She began to complain about the rain and how it would bring pain to her aching joints. She started to forget the plans they had made with each other. Then she began to have difficulty getting dressed and getting up from bed at all. Gale took on a full-time role taking care of his wife at home. He fed her all her meals, changed her soiled clothes, and made sure she was always comfortable. Even though Gale handled it well, emotionally his heart shattered more and more every time he had to face the reality his wife was deteriorating more each day. He got in contact with Shadowheart who had no issues coming to help him take care of Tav. She had been staying with them for the past two weeks in their guest room. She helped with night shift duties and daytime activities. Shadowheart listened to every story Tav told her with the same enthusiasm as she did the first time, even though she had heard it the hundredth time that day.
"Gale?" A soft voice spoke behind him pulling him out of his own thoughts. "Yes, Shadowheart?" Gale asked while turning to see her standing with a sorrow-filled expression. "It's time." She answered.
Gale followed Shadowheart to his bed chambers where his wife lay resting peacefully. Her white hair cascaded down her shoulders. She lay on her back with the bedsheets covering her up to her chest but her arms lay uncovered by her side. Her chest rose and fell softly with each breath. A fresh clean night gown covered any exposed skin to keep her warm. The gorgeous purple butterfly necklace that Gale had gifted to her on their first wedding anniversary lay over the nightgown on her chest, sparkling while catching the flickering candlelight. Gale grinned, she loved butterflies, they always seemed to come to say hello when she would tend to her small flower garden. Gale pulled up a chair to sit next to her side while Shadowheart stood closer to the end of the bed holding her hands together. Gale gently took his wife's hand to entwine it with his own.
"My love, can you look at me?" Gale spoke with a calm loving tone. Tav's head turned slightly to Gale's voice then slowly she opened her eyes to see her beloved. "Of course, my darling." Tav upturned her lips for a small grin. "My love, I-" Gale's voice began to crack as he fought back the knot beginning to form in his throat. "I think it's time to go." He spoke as tears rolled down his cheeks and his lips began to quiver. With a shaky hand, Tav lifted her wrist up to touch her husband's face. She swiped at the stream of wetness with her thumb before Gale with his own hand took hers to his mouth to kiss her palm. Gale shut his eyes forcefully to push out more tears while trying to hold back sobs of sorrow. "My love, please, don't weep for me." After a moment Gale opened his eyes to see his darling wife completely composed grinning the best she could at him. "I do not fear death, my darling." Gale laid his hands and Tavs gently back on the bed, while sucking in a heavy breath. Once composed Gale locked eyes with her once more. "I know my love, you have never been scared of anything." Gale tried to ease into a more lighter tone. "In the face of dangerous uncertainty, you always leapt first." Gale swallowed hard on the thick saliva that pulled into the back of his throat. "I wish I could leap first this time, so I guide you to me in the afterlife." Tav let out a soft chuckle, "Ye of little faith in my sense of direction." Tav jested. Just as quickly as she spoke, however, a low grown escaped her lips and her body began to sink ever so slightly into the mattress. Shadowheart unhooked her hands and moved closer to Tav out of reflex. After a quick glance at Shadowheart Gale turned his body to fully to Tav. "My love, the time I got to spend with you were the happiest days of my life," Gale spoke in haste. "Wherever your soul goes mine will surely follow." Gale retched his hand to caress his wife's face, who stared at him with kind soft eyes. "Do you promise?" Tav spoke in almost a whisper. "I promise, I'll find you in every universe, my love." With one last attempt at a smile, a single tear fell from the corner of Tav's right eye, and then she was gone. Gale fell upon his wife's chest and sobbed into her as Shadowheart placed her hand on his back to rub small circles. Tears quietly fell from her eyes as she whispered her last goodbyes.
~ ~ ~
It was pitch black and so uncomfortably cramped. Gale twisted his body desperately for any way to get out of the mess he found himself in. Finally, he felt an opening. While reaching his hand out into the unknown void he called out. "Hello? Anyone?" Gale could feel the oxygen getting thinner, soon he would find himself suffocated in his own failed teleportation spell. By Mystra's grace, Gale felt a firm strong hand grab his own and pull him from his soon-to-be coffin. Gale fell to the ground with a thud. He looked at the ground and at his hands which were still graciously intact. Feet appeared in front of him and a hand was lowered in offering of assistance. Gale followed the hand up with his eyes to see a smiling male half-elf. Gale retched his hand to accept the offer and was pulled up to his feet. "Are you alright?" The half-elf asked inquisitively. "Why yes, it appears so thanks to you." Gale brushed off thick dust and small stones from his robes. When he looked up again the half-elf introduced himself as Azur and the woman next to him as Shadowheart. Gale went to speak but a sparkle in Azur's eyes caught his attention. He looked into Azur's soft blue eyes and felt a unwarranted since of, familiarity? The feeling Gale felt was unexplainable, like being underwater but being able to breathe just fine. Azur noticed his pause and stared at him with slight worry. "Are you sure you're alright mate? You could have hit your head I suppose." Gale clicked out of his trance and tried to play off the unwanted staring. "So sorry, I'm usually better at this." Azur humorously scoffed at Gale's comment. "Better at what exactly?" Gale prepared himself and then bowed politely. "Instructions." After pleasantries were exchanged it was unanimous the small group should look for any other survivors from the crash. Gale walked behind Azur and Shadowheart while absorbing the landscape they found themselves in. Unintendedly Gale slowed his pace and fell further behind the two. Gale stopped walking altogether when he felt a soft gust of wind kiss the back of his neck. He turned his body to the right to see Azur talking to Shadowheart, the two had stopped and he was pointing to something up ahead. Gale watched wide eyed as a grand dazing bright purple butterfly gently landed on Azurs shoulder. The butterfly's wings caught the sunlight just right to sparkle with beautiful hues of purple and blue. A slight shiver ran down Gale's back as he watched the butterfly take flight and disappear into a field of wildflowers. Without noticing the event Azur turned to seek out Gale who he found to be lost in thought once again. "Gale, over here. I think there could be another survivor up ahead." Gale, while standing still locked eyes with Azur once more. Those soft kind eyes were one in a million, the kind that makes you feel safe.
"Seek and you shall find me." Gale grinned as he began to walk to rejoined the group.
