HABITS TO IMPLEMENT
Movement (yoga, running, Pilates, walking, gym, etc. Anything that allows you to move your body
Reflection- make a note of things you would like to improve on. This could be self-love, relationships,
STAY CONSISTENT
Consistency is key. Make sure to stick to your plan and keep working towards your goals every day. Even small steps are progress. Try to make your goal part of your daily routine.
HOW TO STAY CONSISTENT
SCHEDULE- Setting schedules helps really well with consistency. Make a schedule for the tasks you need to do daily or weekly to achieve your goals. This can help you make your goals a part of your routine, making it easier to stay consistent.
STAY ORGANIZED- Keep track of your tasks and goals. Use tools like calendars, to-do lists, or apps to help you stay organized and remember what you need to do.
DISCIPLINE YOURSELF- Sometimes, you won't feel like working towards your goals, and that's okay. The key is to maintain discipline and do the task anyway. Remember, consistency is about doing the task regularly, not just when you feel like it.
START SMALL- Don't overwhelm yourself with huge tasks. Start small and gradually increase your workload as you build consistency.
DON’T BE TOO HARD ON YOURSELF- If you miss a day, don't beat yourself up. Instead, acknowledge that it happened, understand why, and move on. Consistency is about long-term progress, not perfection.
CREATE A PLAN
Once you know what your goals are, create a step-by-step plan on how to achieve them. Break down each goal into smaller, manageable tasks. This might involve creating a timeline, setting deadlines, or identifying resources or tools you might need.
LEAVE THINGS IN THE PAST
In 2023, I’m sure everyone has had ups and downs, but not letting them define you as a person is something that has to be done in order for you to become a new person.
HOW TO LEAVE THINGS IN THE PAST
ACCEPTANCE-  Acknowledge the past and accept it as part of your life story. Understand that it's something that has shaped you but doesn't define you.
FORGIVENESS- Forgive yourself and others. Holding onto resentment only harms you. Letting go of grudges can bring a sense of peace and open up space for healthier relationships.
LEARN FROM IT- Every experience, good or bad, is an opportunity to learn. Reflect on these experiences and use them as stepping stones to better decisions in the future.
FOCUS ON THE PRESENT- The past is unchangeable, but the present is in your control. Concentrate on what you can do now to create a positive future.
SET NEW GOALS- Create new objectives for yourself. This gives you something to work towards and helps shift your focus from the past to the future.
PRACTISE MINDFULNESS- Mindfulness is about staying focused on the present moment. Practices like meditation can help you stay grounded and prevent you from dwelling on the past.
ADJUST YOUR PLAN AS NEEDED
It's okay if your initial plan doesn't work out exactly as you thought. Life happens, and it's important to be flexible and adapt your plan as needed. If you find that a certain approach isn't working, don't be afraid to try something different.
PRACTICE SELF CARE
Remember to take care of yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally. This can include things like getting enough sleep, eating healthy, exercising regularly, and taking time to relax and do things you enjoy. Don't forget that self-care is an important part of reaching your goals.
WAYS TO PRACTICE SELF CARE-
BALANCED DIET-  There is no need to restrict yourself from foods but eating a healthy, balanced diet is crucial for maintaining physical health. Try to include plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains in your diet.
EXERCISE REGULARLY- Regular physical activity can help reduce stress, improve mood, and boost overall health. This doesn't necessarily mean going to the gym - it could be anything from a brisk walk to a yoga class
GET ENOUGH SLEEP-  Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night. Establish a regular sleep schedule and create a relaxing bedtime routine to improve sleep quality.
STAY HYDRATED-  Drinking enough water each day is important for overall health. Try to aim for at least 8 glasses per day.
TAKE BREAKS- Make sure to take regular breaks throughout the day, especially if you're working or studying. This can help prevent burnout and improve productivity.
DO THINGS YOU ENJOY- Make time for hobbies or activities you enjoy. This could be anything from reading a book to playing a sport to painting.
  CELEBRATE SMALL THINGS
Don't wait until you've reached your big goal to celebrate. Celebrate small wins along the way to keep your motivation high. This could be treating yourself to something you enjoy, or simply taking a moment to acknowledge your achievement.
REFLECTING ON THE PAST YEAR
Think about how the past year went. Did you learn anything? Did you reach new goals? If you don't the answers to these questions, I recommend further examining your year!!

What is a typeset? Basically, a printable version of a text for bookbinding/reading/whathaveyou. Soooo, currently I have twelve free typesets of public domain works available! 🎊 [Edit: As of 7/10, up to 18!] Twelve was a soft goal for myself (though I have no intention of stopping just yet), and I've had so much fun making these and sharing them all! Here are each of the interior title pages lined up together, from top left to bottom right in order of when I made them. Anyone have a favorite so far? I enjoyed making all of them, though the Jekyll and Hyde one is a particular source of pride. All the files for these books are available in the google drive: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1S2wl_PuxCupofnDpqGuk7VjMHYFMWC6g Everything is sized for letter folio, except for Jekyll and Hyde and The Call of Cthulhu, which are sized for letter quarto. Most of the art/images are from canva or rawpixel. All of these typesets are free for your personal use, but please like/reblog if you can!
And a big thank you to everyone who has stopped by this blog, dropped a like/reblog/ or even a follow. It is greatly appreciated! ❤️ Guys I'm just so happy to have an even dozen in my folder. Twelve is a nice number. (The alternates kind of throw me off though...😆)

My 2025 Goals
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This year I decided to try a new method of goal setting! I usually am very ambitious, to a fault, when I plan out my yearly goals. I go in wanting to change my whole life and then I get burnt out and not accomplishing the goals I set at the start of the year. I overwhelm myself, basically. I watched this video that popped up on my recommended and it changed me! I'm taking her advice and tweaking it a little bit to make it work better for me.
This year I am going into it with 2 big goals to focus on! I also have 2 side quests that I will be giving some attention to. My big goals are to heal my gut and improve & stabilize my mental health, and my side quests are to get a car and bet at least a B in all my classes for both semesters. I have a whole notion set up that I did to track everything! This year is also the first year that I've made a physical vision board.

At the start of this project all I wanted was to 'learn how to draw' using comics as a medium and the MDZS audio drama as inspiration.
I've come *very* far from making simple, 3 panel black and white comics, and I truly do intend to go even further. Thank you to everyone who cheered me on throughout 2023, it has been an incredible year in so many ways I never could have imagined. I look forwards to drawing throughout 2024 B*)

academic resolutions that i will try to implement in 2025 ✨:
replacing more of my screentime with reading time, doing craft, spending time outside or moving my body
reading 10 pages of an academic article not related to my thesis each day. exploring and studying for joy and to expand my general curiosity and knowledge.
working consistently and realistically in small chunks instead of overwhelming myself with unrealistic expectations and getting burnt out or procrastinating
what are your academic resolutions for the new year? i’d love to hear them!

how to set goals
hi friends :) i wanted to share how I went about setting some goals this year, with a focus on maximizing joy instead of trying to track arbitrary metrics. here's what I did (i wrote more about it on my blog and also made a notion template about it):
Take 20-30 minutes to write down, stream-of-consciousness style, your wishes and desires.
Which desires jump out at you as particularly frivolous or practical? Which ones are you having responses to, whether they are icky or thrilling or something you could never allow yourself to do?
Highlight those.
Sense check: Are these desires aligned with my values? (i.e., is there possibility for growth and surprise if I fulfill this desire?)
Ask: If this desire is fulfilled, what might happen to me?
Ask: Does this feel urgent?
Rewrite: Do any of the desires have a concrete, measurable component? Try to rewrite them based on their purpose. Try to rewrite them to give you as many possibilities and pathways to work toward them that feel exciting or joyful. They should feel expansive, not narrowing.
Cull: Now, get realistic. How many of these can you honestly work towards during the year (with acknowledgement that you might necessarily abandon or tweak these as time goes on)? Select only that number. Save the rest for later.
Stick them up somewhere so you can look at them often.

Setting Goals
AdvisorElle, Episode 2
(Find the PDFs for the post HERE and HERE)
Tumblr media
Sometimes, goal setting can feel really daunting or even pressuring. "How many goals are right?" "Are these goals SMART?" "How should this goal be implemented?" "Is this even a goal???" These are some questions that have gone through my head when trying to plan out what I want for the year. Luckily, I've been able to work out a system that works for me and through this post, I hope it works for you as well.
Tumblr media
Write down, haphazardly if you want to, what you want to see in your life. (No ideas for this? Go on Pinterest, grab a book, take anything that might give you any inspiration.)
While you're on Pinterest, make a vision board. (This helps, especially when you need some extra motivation, or when you feel like you've lost your way while navigating your goals.)
Organize your messily written goals into categories.
Choose 5 to 10 goals that you think you can achieve within this year.
Rewrite the goals in simpler terms, you can even use the SMART method.
Break down the goals into simple steps and decide how to apply the goals on a monthly basis.
Over each month's planning, take a step towards those goals (add it to your list of goals for the month).
Make a to-do list daily or weekly and include a step towards each goal (no matter how small - small progress is still progress!)
Write a letter to your future self, in case of any hiccups in the journey. Encourage yourself, explain why you're doing what you're doing.
Lastly, don't forget to celebrate and track all progress on your goals (this makes the process more enjoyable).
Wishing you the best with your goals! X's and O's, Elle.

It was one of the rare nights that Nightmare decided to actually retire to his room for the night. He didn't need sleep, with enough flow of negativity he could easily survive without it, but sometimes it was nice to just lay down and rest.
He had a dream. They were rare too, if only because he slept so infrequently, but this particular one was common for him when he did. It was about killing Dream. The ongoing war between them was constant on his mind, so it made sense it would invade his unwaking hours as well. In it, he finally managed to crush the life from his twin, in the process gaining unwavering control over the entire multiverse as he watched the other's eyelights dim.
He sat up in his bed.
He was panting. His tendrils, slowly reforming from behind him, were trembling as they hung uncertainly in the air. He realised slowly as he returned to reality that he was gripping the sheets tightly with both hands.
Panic was an emotion Nightmare had rarely been on the other side of for centuries. It took him a few long moments to even identify it from within his own soul, rotten and imprisoned under the corruption. It took him even longer to identify the part of him that he had long assumed dead, which was crying out for nothing more than to cling to his brother for comfort.
For the first time in hundreds of years, Nightmare wasn't sure what he wanted anymore.

hey there! i'm very new to simblr and looking for mutuals to befriend!
i'm a pretty well-rounded simmer in that i split my time pretty evenly between cas, build/buy, and gameplay, and i've been playing since the sims 2. currently loving the sims 4 as i have recently been able to download custom content and mods which has added so much to my gameplay. if you have a favorite maxis match cc creator, feel free to put me on them 'cause i love finding new creators to support!
besides the sims, i also play overwatch, the lego games, the tomb raider reboot, horizon: forbidden west, and lots more! my favorite shows are buffy the vampire slayer, the good place, most things star wars, once upon a time, grey's anatomy, and sense8.
i'm hoping to use this simblr to share my creations beyond just the gallery. if you'd like to follow me there, my ea id is spacecowboyalex. i have a ton of sims i've made recently that i can't wait to get into game with to take screenshots (i just learned how to use the pose mod and i'm very excited about it lol).
also if any of you are on twitter my @ is alexile_. i'm way more active on there than here tbh but that may change!
