25 Free Typesets!

New achievement unlocked! I've finished my 25th public domain typeset, and you can find all 25 unimposed pdfs for FREE here! (Personal use only! Use these to read, bind, burn, or ignore at your pleasure!) I'm so excited to post this collage of all the title pages I've done for pd texts thus far. I started getting into typesetting earlier this year, and that journey started with googling "what is typesetting???" 😅😆. Since then, it's been fun exploring literature and the designs surrounding text. Anyway, thank you to everyone who's stopped by this blog! It's meant a lot to me, whether you liked/reblogged/followed, or just took a look!

The Hand That Feeds Typesets

Here are the typesets for The Hand That Feeds by @rollercoasterwords​

I have put together a few different versions for this fic, all of which can be accessed in this google drive folder. More information about each version can be found below.

In the folder there are three word documents containing the typesets for the full fic, part one, and part two. There are then a pdf for each of these which is imposed and ready to print. The typeset is formatted to be printed on letter size paper in signatures of 24 (6 sheets).

Page Counts:

Full fic - 900

Part one - 504

Part two - 420

If there are any issues with this typeset that I missed, or it doesn't work for your  creation method, let me know and I will see what I can do to fix it :D

What do you think about footnotes?? I love it when they have some interesting information or some specific content.

Here I put the authors' notes straight from the publication on Ao3, but I also put some notes from @wolfuckingstar who translated All The Young Dudes into Portuguese (and I translated the notes from Portuguese to English, despite my desire to keep them in the original language ). They made such intelligent observations about references to 70s English culture and the history of LGBT pride, it would be sad to leave these notes out

I’m getting really into binding my own fanfics. The problem is I hate the typesetting portion of the task. I’ve been able to find some typesets for fics I like on tumblr and stuff from stumbling across them but does anyone have recommendations for people or accounts that often post typesets? Would love it if someone could help me out 💜

50 Free Typesets

New achievement unlocked! I now have 50 public domain books/typesets available for FREE in my library! 🥳 Above is a collage of all 50 title pages.

What does this mean? It means that these classic books have been typeset (typographic, book design, layout work done), and are ready as pdfs that can be used to read, print out, book bind, or burn at your pleasure! (Just keep it to personal use only!)

The full list (with page sizes now noted) of all 50 books available can be found here on my tumblrary directory/masterlist (which will update as I add more), and below the break of this post!

Please please feel free to request access to my library (aka, yee good ol' googly drive). I usually respond within 24 hours, and they are indeed free! Just leave credit if you use, and consider liking/reblogging!

Also, if you find any errors in the files, let me know! I made these in Affinity, not with an AI program, and typos are natural spawns XD

From Frankenstein to Pride and Prejudice, to Sherlock Holmes to a dude that wakes up as a bug, I've been honored to be able to typeset these books and share them with all of you.

A part of me wants to ramble on about the behind the scenes and my continuing personal journey of amateur typesetting...but I think the most important thing I can say is simply thank you! to everyone that's stopped by! So thank you all! (And should I try for 100? 🤔 Hmmm...)

Astra Inclinant Typesets

I have created typesets for Astra Inclinant by Eleventy7 (@tinyhistory). These can all be found in this google drive folder. There are, as usual, a few different versions so keep reading for more information.

There are word documents all in letter of the full fic, part one, and part two. I have also created imposed PDF files of the full fic, Part One and Part Two which are formatted for letter paper. The page counts are all multiples of 24 to make it easier for hand binding.

Also please contact me if you find any issues with the typeset and how it prints so I can fix this.
