*head in hands*
I did the math (I shouldn't have done the math) and I've written 60,000 words of Hazbin fic since mid-February.
Insane. Oh my god. These brain worms have to break like a fever. It took me three years to hit that in my last fandom.
I have got to get more normal. Jesus actual Christ

you’d think since dick was a mathlete hed b the number one guy to ask for help w math homework but actually he knows so much advanced math that the first time tim asked him for help with a simple geometry problem he pulled out his dusty ti-84 and started solving it in the most convoluted way that took an hour bc he was also just trying to relearn the math he hadn’t done in like 5 years. cue him screaming in frustration when he realized the actual way to do it would’ve taken him 2 minutes (tim asked him at the beginning if that way was right and he waved him off saying no) none of the batsibs can ask him for math help until they get to pre-calculus at least

Seven being the only of the base 10 digits to be multiple syllables really pisses me off cause everything is fucked up by it. What if I wanna count fast? Seven throws off the whole groove. And when I’m counting higher too it’s like I gotta slog through the 70s or god forbid the 700s. Seventy-seven? Get the fuck out of here. And something like just sev would’ve worked just fine. Doesn’t sound like any of the rest of the numbers. It also has “even” in the name and it’s odd. You know what else has that? Eleven, another pissass number for reasons I won’t get into. Easily worst single digit number. I don’t care if it’s “the lucky number” either, that’s just bullshit propagated by casinos probably. Not even that mathematically interesting. The only thing I can think of is the decimals repeating in a unique way when it divides, what with the repeating from different places. And what, most common number when rolling two six sided die? Be for real. AND its multiples are cringe too. Where does 49 even come from. 63? 91??? What the fuck. Stupid fucking number and I’m tired of pretending it’s not.

I'm bad at math, but is Bruce theoretically 38 years old when he goes into the time stream?
Hear me out (and canon likes to fluncate their ages, so this is my best guess without trying to account for birthdays):
Bruce becomes the legal guardian of 9 year old Dick when he's 23. That's a 14 year difference.
Jason becomes Robin when Dick leaves at 18. Jason is 13. That's a five year difference.
Jason dies at 15, and Tim becomes Robin at 13. That's a two year difference.
The age difference between Tim and Bruce would thus be 21 years.
Tim becomes Red Robin to find Bruce at 17.
That means that Bruce had to be 38, right? Why was I imagining him closer to 50?
Adopting so many kids must have aged him

Alucard is a boydad but vladcard is a total girldad. I can't explain it but that's the vibes they're giving off,,,,,
Peak characterization my dear anon
Alucard is a boydad stuck with a daughter
(it doesn't change at how he'd treat her if she was a son she still suffers either way)
"LOCK THE FUCK IN"
"Shut up"
Fatherly disappointment followed by resignation (also him calling her an idiot for a minute straight)
And ofc. These gems
Peak boydad. He calls her 'sport'
Vs
Peak girldad Vlad
THAT'S A PROUD DAD RIGHT THERE!!!
He brags about her all the time. You never hear the end of it.
"Yeah, your kid went to Harvard? Cute. My daughter tho--"
He brings her everywhere, and is always there when she's struggling (somehow predicts it). A guy comes within a 20 mile radius of her and he whips out the shotgun. He cuts up apples and places it on her desk without a word and he compliments her hair and outfits and he let her paint his nails when she was little. The first person who made fun of him for having poorly painted sparkly nails got stabbed in the kidney.
Also, he already has a dad laugh.
Overall, maybe Hellsing is actually about Boydad Alucard's journey to becoming a girldad

the thing about g/t is that it has a lot to do with math and physics. which, as someone who personally cannot do either, is initially very scary. but it turns out no one else here can do math either, and we bond over this. and when some fellow g/t fan CAN do math? and talks about physics? we hail them as a wizard. truly gods amongst men.
all hail the G/t STEM Wizards.
