🧁💬.⭑⋅˚♡. lip care
along with skincare, lip care should also be incorporated into your daily routine; if u want a pretty face, you need to focus on all aspects! ♡
Tumblr media
🎀𓂃 ࣪˖ 1. water, water, water
obviously, one of the most self explanatory points, water! dehydration = dry lips and nobody wants that. ♡
🎀𓂃 ࣪˖ 2. exfoliation
scrub ur lips with a clean ,, SOFT toothbrush in the mornings (as it can cause damage to the skin!), use a lip exfoliator, whatever you like !! there are lots of ways you can actually make a lip exfoliator at home. one of the most popular methods:
♡ mix a tsp of honey with 2 tsp of sugar
♡ massage and leave for 10 mins or so
♡ remove !!
have not tried this personally but from what i've found, this or a solely sugar based exfoliant helps the most 💖 or alternative you can simply buy one. but whatever works for you ♡
🎀𓂃 ࣪˖ 3. lip balms and ingredients
using lip balm in ur skincare is really helpful for just keeping them hydrated. some ingredients that also help w nourishment and moisturising:
♡ argan oil
♡ shea butter
♡ cocoa butter
♡ coconut oil
+ vaseline overnight also helps w this ♡
🎀𓂃 ࣪˖ 4. biting ur lips
please try and avoid biting your lips or the inside of your mouth! i used to do this a lot when i got anxious or nervous and it damages them and is just not good for you
🎀𓂃 ࣪˖ 5. gloss, oil, stick, repeat!
lip plumper, lip gloss, lip oil, lip stick, whatever you like! mouth without lip gloss is like a cupcake without frosting ♡
all my love 🎀💖💬

𝐢. 𝗇𝖺𝗒𝗈𝗎𝗇𝗀'𝗌 𝗌𝗄𝗂𝗇𝖼𝖺𝗋𝖾 𝗀𝗎𝗂𝖽𝖾!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
disclamer! these tips are all from experience, they've been tried and tested by yours truly. please note that i am not a skin specialist, and if you have any major skin concerns, visit a dermatologist! always remember that you are beautiful just the way you are, and these tips are aiming to help you achieve a healthier overall lifestyle.
i. skin types: everyone's skin is different! so, the first and most important step is to find out what kind of skin you have. is it oily? is it often dry? is it sensitive to certain products? determining your skin type will aid you in finding products that work for you, making it a crucial step.
ii. drink more water: i know, you've heard it a million times! but i cannot emphasise how important it is to drink water! not just for your skin, but it benefits your overall health and well-being. dehydration can cause dryness, and oiliness- which can lead to heat boils and breakouts. drinking 2-3 litres of water every day can clear up your skin significantly!
iii. avoid oily and fried foods: health begins on the inside, so we must nourish our skin the same way! oily foods can clog your pores, and make your skin greasy. in general, processed and fried food is bad for your health as it is full of preservatives and artificial flavouring. although it is important to treat yourself from time to time, avoid eating these on a daily basis.
iv. stop touching your face: i understand how hard this might be for some of you because we end up subconsciously touching our face from time to time, but not touching your face is a crucial habit and you must train yourself to reduce the number of times you touch your face. touching your face with unwashed hands makes your skin oily and dirty. song jia revealed she only touches her face while applying basic skincare or washing her face. it seems impossible, but you can do it!
v. apply sunscreen daily: no matter what, you must include sunscreen in your skincare routine. regardless of the weather, it's important since the uv rays from the sun harm your skin, and pollutants in the air (especially in the city) can damage your skin significantly. i use neutrogena and it's super lightweight and gives your skin a glowy and clean look.
vi. weather matters: weather conditions play a big role in determining which skincare products you should be using. for example- if you live near the sea coast, you might not need to moisturise due to severe humidity, but if you live in a cold and dry country, a heavy moisturiser might be advisable! if you are interested in skincare tips for people living in tropical countries- comment!
vii. facewash usage: again, it depends on where you live. i personally live near the coast, so i end up washing my face thrice a day due to constant sweating. during winter, take a call on whether you need to use a facewash in the mornings. over-cleansing can strip your skin of natural oils, which does more harm than good. if the climate where you live is not too severe, i would recommend washing your face twice a day.
nayoung's note: hope these tips helped you! feel free to let me know how they worked in the comments.

OMG OMG OMG I JUST READ SIREN (finally got the time lmao) AND I'M SCREAMING OH MY GOD IT'S SO GOOD!
I couldn't help but imagine a few extra things tho. Like our scaly Yeosang who gets easily dehydrated, being a creature of the sea, so his skin dries out very often and he has to carry a shit load of moisturiser and sunscreen around.
Or like Yeosang and the MC swimming around in the ocean and playing with the little fishies for a bit.
Jongho and MC going like: "Siren siren, kill kill, murder murder." and Yeo and Sannie being ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIED.
And since Joong joined them in the end, I can't help but imagine what the rest of the guys might be. Hwa is a merman for sure. I would not accept anything other than Hwa being a bubbly little merman with his long hair and pink tail (IT HAS TO BE PINK.)
JjongSan coming across Yeo and MC conversing with some horrifying deep sea creature that looks like it's straight out of a horror fest, and the two just going "Hey guys! Meet Bob."
AAA FINALLY YOU READ IT HEHE THANK YOUU!!
omg yes. yeosang struggling with his skin and dehydration-- where were you when i was writing this LMAOO but omg imagine it gets worse as he turns more human so now that he has his voice back, maybe it gets better but he'll still want our reader to do his skincare for him hoho
they'd def play with the fishes when they're not too busy playing with each other ;) DFKHGJKDFCHGJD yes you're absolutely right, and reader will not stop teasing yeosang about how he should be catching fish for them to eat hehe
honestly the jongho x reader interaction would be an everyday occurence haha yeosang and sannie would know when to steer clear of their path LMAOO who's the real monster now huh?
also yes. hongjoong may be half mer but seonghwa NEEDS to be full mer with his pink hair. nothing else for him works. for other members, i thought about a few like yunho could be a nymph of some sort, but wooyoung and mingi... i feel like i would have to make a whole new specie for one of them if not both LOLLL any thoughts?

Founders skincare etc
Tobirama (sensitive skin): long. Involved. Seven steps on a lazy day. If he wasn't invested in it it'd drive him fucking bonkers bc his skin is super delicate and prone to irritation and burning
Izuna (normal/dry skin): surprisingly not intense. He's quite aware of financials and that's his main priority when it comes to things like skincare, so he has a special (expensive) exfoliating soap that he rations like his family's life depends on it, and a cheap but very good moisturiser
Madara (dry/dehydrated skin): secretly more involved than izuna. His skin gets dry and sore from the constant katon use. Can't use Izuna's moisturiser bc, as they found out it's. It's SUPER flammable. Whoops. He has a few indulgent lotions for his skin. Doesn't always remember to use them though, until his face is aching and the skin is splitting.
Hashirama (unnatural fucking thing): washes his face with water and has never had a pimple :-)
Mito (oily skin): married hashirama with a simple skincare routine and then tobirama infected her and now she's got a seven step routine too. Not MORE than seven steps, because that's excessive no matter what tobirama says ♥

“I don’t really have a skincare routine, just wash me face and thats about it, keep it simple. None of those fancy face creams or anything like that. [Not a korean facemask or anything?] No, not for me, I’d get terrorized by me mates if I pull them out.”
The last line really just puts it together perfectly how insecure Louis is about his understanding of gender. And he has shitty friends, too. Imagine being afraid of touching a face mask or taking take of your skin bc you’d get “terrorized” by your male friends…so, you can’t have normal human experiences if you want to be masculine?? Okay….weird.
I'm dubious about his claims that his friends tease him. I think they're very tame around him and never challenge him, because he bankrolls all their big nights out. Louis is most likely the one 'terrorising' his friends for having skincare routines. Meanwhile, his failure to use moisturiser has led to dehydrated, wrinkled skin like this:

Tell us what the skincare is like!! :D
well so first reviews after incorporating it into my skincare routine just now
iUnik calendula cleansing oil very nice on my skin! was expecting to be very dehydrated afterwards since my skin tends to dry out when i cleanse it but that wasnt the case at all! on my nose i saw it dissolve the sebum (excess oil) i tend to have in my nose pores and i think they look smaller now? but that could be placebo so ill have to see after a time of using it. smells nice
beauty of joseon ginseng essence water to no surpise this stuff rlly smells like ginseng, not a bad smell but its like they just bottled up the whole plant. feels nice, didnt need a lot to cover my whole face and got absorbed by my skin super quick instead of just sitting on top of it. felt hydrated and firm after it
beauty of joseon revive serum (mini bottle from the hanbang discovery set) once again only needed a little bit to get my whole face covered. got absorbed super quickly as well which really suprised me cuz atp that was the 3rd product id slapped on there. left a firm skin moisturised skin, ill see which one i benefit most from but i started with this one and ill see what it does!
overal they felt super nice and none of them irritated my skin! which considering i have a v senstive skin and i shaved earlier today i was kind of expecting to happen. i'm most impressed with how fast they got absorbed into my skin since most cremes and serums in my experience just sit on the skin and leave this weird moist feeling which is the WORST sensory experience. My skin feels very moisturised and firm and not at all overworked. I'll be testing out the rice toner from "im from" at a later date since its for my roommate maddy but i have her blessing to try it out
so far korean skincare seems to live up to the hype cuz this is niceee

9, 17 and 29?🤍
hello!!!!! :) !!!!!!!!
9. do you have a skincare routine (and how many steps is it)?
i do! it’s pretty simple but also i don’t like straying from it bc it works n i like having clear skin. (also feeling very exited to be able to relay my routines to u idk why :3c (tism))
i exfoliate when i wash my hair (so every 2/3 days) and then i have a couple serums/essences i’ll use sometimes and then a moisturiser. i like the brand ‘simple’ bc their stuff is just plane and nice and my skin doesn’t ever react to it (stuff with perfume makes me so red). and that’s it! i have those spot stickers if i ever get a spot and i’ll use a face mask every so often for extra moisture. i’m very lucky with my skin it just likes being left mostly alone :)
17. an anxious compulsion you do everyday?
i have a thing about having water so like i basically never leave the house without it. unless i’m like, gonna be out for 10 min max. i just, i hate the headache u get from dehydration so i’m always drinking water. but also it’s a comfort thing, nothing can go wrong as long as i can have a drink of water. nervous? water. tired? water. thirsty? water. it’s healthy but also i know it’s an anxiety thing.
29. preferred pasta noodle?
spaghetti! or tagliatelle!! good for sauce and good mouth vibes!!!
ty for thissssss <3

Hi guys,
Over the past few years I have really started focusing more on my skincare because good skin makes your makeup look even better! While I have products I adore and use daily, I love to try eye products because let's face it my sleep routine is awful and your girl needs to brighten her under eyes!
I looked online and a lot of people recommended Olay which to be honest did not surprise me since their day and night creams are amazing! I noticed during Boot's latest £10 Tuesday they finally had Olay products back in stock and I spotted the Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel For Tired Dehydrated Skin Moisturiser, £24.99. Already this felt like a win since I saved £14.99, this eye cream instantly hydrates and refreshes tired-looking eyes. The gel moisturiser plumps the delicate skin in your eye area, where fine lines first appear, as well as fighting visible signs of fatigue.
When it comes to eye creams I love when they have a cooling formula because this makes a massive difference with my under eyes and makes me look more awake. I have been using this every morning before makeup and after skincare in the evening and I really can see a difference under my eyes. They honestly look so much brighter and I don't need to wear as much concealer.
So if you're looking to add some products to your skincare routine why not check out Olay. As always all products mentioned are linked above.
Lot's of love,
Bella x x

do slimes drink?
Tumblr media
Please don't avoid this information if you are a rancher.
Actually yes but not in the way you think they do, they absorb moisture through their skin but mosaic slimes don’t need to drink as for they keep moisturised by their glass shell, and if their shell is damaged or broken that can cause really bad harm and dehydration. Yet some slimes don’t like swimming, so they actually drink with their mouth. Be warned too much moisture can cause rotting within the slime membrane and can be fixed by massaging the slime carefully.

SKINCARE BEAUTY TIPS
1. Sandwich your retinoids
Vitamin A is the enduring anti-aging ingredient everyone’s fascinated by, but if you worry about the initial irritation it can sometimes cause, dermatologist Dr Elyse Love suggests applying a thin layer of gentle moisturiser first, a thin layer of your retinol/retinoid a few minutes later, then a final thin layer of the same moisturiser. “It’s like building a sandwich,” Love explains. “The moisturiser creates a buffer that will dilute the retinol in those first few weeks.” Medik8 Crystal Retinal comes in four strengths to suit your skin’s tolerance.
2. Fridge benefits
Suffering from sunburn? Dermatologist Dr Stefanie Williams says to keep a thermal water spray in the fridge in the summer. “Soak a clean sheet of kitchen roll with it and lay it over the affected area.”
3.Milk benefits
Skincare expert Ole Henriksen recommends freezing milk in an ice-cube tray and massaging your face with the cubes, wrapped in muslin. “They lift dead cells and boost circulation, giving an instant facelift,” he tells us.
4. Clay caution
Clay masks are great for absorbing impurities and clearing out pores but - contrary to belief - you should never wait for them to dry and crack before removing. Satisfying? Yes. Dehydrating for all skin types, especially mature, dry and delicate? Very.

🍞 2022 favorites for skincare, makeup, and fragrances
tagged by @nito-onna 💌
thanks for tagging!! it’s been a while since i’ve done of these, but to start, i don’t use makeup or fragrances so i’ve listed my entire skincare routine to make up for it (you can read about theresa’s preferences here instead hehe)
krave matcha hemp hydrating cleanser (old formula)
i have dehydrated, sensitive and combo skin that’s also clog prone and reactive, and this cleanser doesn’t strip me raw (given that i do the rest of my skincare routine afterwards). i only cleanse at night with a smaller than pea sized amount which also helps.
pyunkang yul essense toner
my morning watery step. been using this for the last 3 or so years. i like to do multiple thin layers (between 2-3 in summer and up to 5 in winter) which seems to help with my dehydrated skin......... have yet to find another toner that’s as hydrating as this
cosrx advanced snail 96 mucin power essense
my night time watery step. slightly thicker/tackier than the pky toner so i use this on a dripping wet face. this stuff hydrates me nicely when paired with an occlusive (see: vaseline) compared to when i don’t use it because i can feel a difference! you’ll also find that all my skincare products are fragrance free and relatively scentless/neutral smelling.
muji moisturising milk moisture
from their sensitive skin range. i used the high moisture one previously and found it a bit meh? possibly clogging? this one’s meant to be in the middle of their tiers of hydration and it definitely is lighter but still not perfect. like my toner i also layer with this using thin layers (normally 2 but sometimes 1 or 3 depending on how i feel)
the ordinary squalane oil
for my desert dry cheeks, i love this stuff because i feel like it keeps my skin water in!! also quite soothing. probably one of the few products that truly belong on a ‘favourites’ list haha super effective when the air’s humid too.
vaseline
seals everything in on my cheeks as well! thin layers only and for night time use. slugging and anything else heavier/thicker than a cream that’s used all over my face clogs me so bad haha
burt’s bees lip balm
another favourite that i love a lot!!!!! smells soooooo tasty i want to try all the flavours. my favourite scents so far are vanilla and mango. i’m currently using watermelon!
azclear azelaic acid medicated lotion
spot treatment for my acne! also works well on blackheads. most effective on my forehead because it’s oiliest there and this stuff dries out my skin (my cheeks don’t need to get drier!). also helps heal my acne faster and stops it from fully blowing up if catch something coming up early
cosrx acne pimple master patch
essentially a bandaid for my face when i accidentally pop a pimple and it bleeds. i also use it when i’m worried of popping a head and or when i’m in a scratchy mood................. definitely works best and heals those big ones faster!
tagging most recent muts @gyu @evenofmyday @pollen :)

your skin always seems so glowy and perfect!! if you don't mind, what's your routine/some of your favourite things for your skin care?
aw thank you <3 it's actually the worst its ever been currently, I am not sure exactly why but I am guessing it's because I have been chronically dehydrated. I started drinking 1.5-2 litres of water again though and doing gua sha/jade rolling and it's improved it significantly in the past couple of days. based on that, I would say that for me personally being hydrated is the foundation of good skin because the products I was using couldn't maintain it. I have always used niacinamide from the ordinary to prevent spots which did wonders for my skin years ago but that wasn't working for me recently. at the moment I am just trying to go back to basics with plenty of hydration, changing my pillowcase regularly, and a good moisturiser (I use the cerave one)
